I suggest a blind date book swap. You each select 5 to 10 books you know the other one hasn’t read. Then offer a brief description (maybe just a drawing) of each book but vague enough to not give away title. The other person selects their blind book date. Then the two of you could go somewhere offsite for a book reading date (park, book shop, coffee shop). Valentine’s is coming up. Might be a good theme.

I WISH my husband would even read a book!! Tessa Dare or Lisa Kleypas he listened to on a long road trip&he actually enjoyed it.
I was just thinking the same thing for my hubby BECAUSE he probably thinks I don’t do anything and then all I want to do is read BUT to be a good wife, I have to stop reading and do HUBBY things sighs Lolol then I rush home and then read but man I could read a lot more if I could just read and read and THEN READ SOME MORE. But I love my man but he needs to READ!!!!!

Just so you know I, as a viewer, don’t actually like it when people do 24 hour straight readathons 😂
There’s a certain point where I become genuinely scared for their health and don’t like seeing people unhappy or struggling. It seems ridiculous for people to apologise for sleeping, you need it to function!
The superior option by far is to do “24 in 48” where you have to read for 24 hours over 2 days, with plenty of time to cook and exercise and look after yourselves ❤ love the video guys and can’t wait to see more ❤️❤️

Absolutely!! Ash and I went into the video with the attitude of “when we feel tired, we’ll just go to bed.” Straight through 24 hours is not fun nor healthy!

I always love to watch people read books out of their "reading comfort zones"! And so happy to see you enjoyed The Naturals, one of my most surprising books I read in 2023 and absolutely loved, the series is so addictive!
I kept hearing your dog and thinking that my dogs were making mischief in my house! Love the pup content.
Also, I am now going to try out the Naturals, I have read Jennifer Lynn Barnes before and was only somewhat impressed...but Ashlynn had me when she described the books as Criminal Minds adjacent!

Congratulations of finishing your 24 hour read along. Not easy for sure. I love how Ashlynn acts so surprised by things that you are saying happen in the book. you should do a 24 hour challenge where you split up the time between a few days instead of doing it straight... sleep deprivation is a form of torture...

@@iangubeli Ian ! Brother , It was my birthday recently and now I have SO HECKIN MUCH TO READ. My gf got me the ENTIRE JADE LEGACY TRILOGY. My parents got me the ENTIRE FIRST LAW trilogy AND malice. And I had gotten myself a couple king stuff to add to my collection, Misery and The Talisman . It’s so much but I’m so pumped to read literally ALL of it!!!!
This was so fun! I think the next time you guys do a book swap, you should give each other your favourite fantasy books. I'm so happy you liked The Naturals best, I gave it 4 Stars and enjoyed it more then the inheritance games. I gave the love hypothesis a 4 stars as well, but you're so right, Malcolm was so annoying! I zoned out for most of his scenes.
I think an impromptu book swap of what your currently reading tbr so you would have to wait to finish the book your reading, haha. Read each others most anticipated reads that you haven't read yet. Blindly pick a book from each others shelves, random number generator, and could do a cute book swap for valentine's day of books for gifts and wrap them up or do a bouquet of flowers but with books. I enjoy seeing these videos. ^_^

An alphabetical book swap or color book swap- like swapping books by color of the cover or the title of the name! Also Id love to see one maybe of books that arent so spicy or maybe like a faith based book like C.S. Lewis or like a Redeeming Love!

Ok I’m back again just finished the video and I loved all the little thoughts you were having reading the naturals! I was having the same thoughts when I read that book also! I still need to read the last 2 books in the series. I have a couple suggestion for books swaps one could be book swapping your 1 star or most disliked books and then another doing you 5 star or highest rated most liked books you have on your shelf’s.

This was a great video! As you were reading The Love Hypothesis, I was just waiting to see your reaction to those two special chapters. You mentioned you thought things were about to get steamy, and I was like, oh man, put your seat belt on. Lol. It was nice that it was easy to just gather those two chapters and easily flip over and move on. 😅
Also, I am about 200 pages into Wrath. I'm enjoying it! I'm sad it's the last book and I know I will be crying many tears before it's all over, but I'm happy to be back in the Banished Lands.

Morally strong. Read “The Woman in White!!!” Read Thomas Hardy!! During the pandemic I did nothing BUT read!! You believe me if I told you just how many books I read. Only my daughter can vouch for me. lol I just heard of Dickens very first book. So I’m ordering it. Well, be blessed and New American standard Bible is beautiful!! The way I read both her books and his books actually surprised me to realise how varied my reading habits are 😂
I could not get through the love hypothesis 🙈 the way they constantly described the mmc as being sooooo big all the damn time drove me crazy so I just couldn’t continue, it was a strong dnf for me 🤣
That is my beef with a lot of romance books. Authors tend to over-emphasize certain aspects of physical traits of characters. It becomes tedious🙄

Out of these 3 books, the only one I read was The Love Hypothesis. I think I gave it 3 stars. But I need clarification! When you said there are two chapters you had to skip while they wete in the hotel room, do you mean that you actually skipped reading them or just skipped talking about them in the video? I'm genuinely just curious because I totally get if spice is not everyone's thing (I don't read much romance myself because a lot of spice can feel cringey and forced) but I'm genuinely wondering if anyone else just skips right over those kinds of chapters? I just plow through them, even if they're cringey lol

Yes sir!! My boyfriend is primarily a fantasy reader and LOVES a good loooong book 😂 I am a huge horror/thriller/litfic girl myself! Let me know if you ever want to do a bookstore meet up with us! You HAVE to go to 2nd and Charles, it just opened up down the street from Barnes and it blew my mind with the selection!

Awesome vlog 💯‼️i 🩷💜💖 the Naturals series I still need to get book 2 also my absolute #1 favourite Ali Hazelwood book is Love, Theoretically because I related to the female main character and it has the least amount of spicey scenes. My second favourite book is Love on the Brain then Check & Mate is also very low in the spicey scenes and finally The Love Hypothesis . Ali Hazelwood has me on the stem/science/math so that makes me be okay with the spice scenes. Because I am a stem/science/math girl. 😅 I am also really bad with 24 hour reading challenges 😅 because I can’t stay still and focused for more than 30 minutes 😅so no worries you and Ashlynn just do the 24hr readathons your way 😅😊 Adam Driver imho is the Levy from Love on the Brain, also Olive and Adam make cameos in the other Ali Hazelwood books especially Love, Theoretically. 😊😅 I also gave The Love Hupothesis a 3.5
