Hi guys, I have the DF83V with preinstalled SSP HU burrs for about a month now and it is very inconsistent still. I did two exactly similar shots this morning, using RDT, Blind Shaker, Leveling, adjustable Tamper and Puck Saver and the first shot was pretty much close to an espresso but a bit too fast and the second one just ran through extremely quickly. Never had such an issue with my previous Eureka Grinder. I already seasoned with like 3-4 kilograms but I can only observe how my problem is becoming worse.

It sounds like an issue with the zeroing of the burrs. You might want to readjust the zero point first and also remember that when you're using the DF83V, do hold down on the collar to prevent it from moving. The DF grinders are designed to make it accessible for everyone to use and do easy maintenance for their grinders. However, this makes the collar movable during the grind. Holding it down should ensure the consistency of your grind size. If the issue still persists, send us a video of the issue to tech@df64coffee.com and we will assist you further from there.
      Hope this helps :)

Please come out with smaller grinders of the 83V. The 83V is your only vertical aligned burrs. Every other grinder ive used and so many others conplain about df54, df64, df83 static and retention. Vertical burrs have gravity to assist with static and retention. All the new grinders from other companies are modeling their burrs being vertical. DF could make more sales if they took the 83v amd made 64 or 54

Thank you for your feedback on the models! DF64 has always taken feedback from its consumers seriously and produced newer models based on it. The DF64 Gen 2 is a clear example of that. So do keep a look out on our channel for future updates on new and existing grinders. You just might see your input come to life in future videos!

      I’m running the 54 and there’s virtually no retention… .1 tops.

@@NMEONES i returned my 54. I just cant get over the random static. Used a 64, 83v2 and the 54. The design by nature with the weird mods of declumpers creates the retention amd static. Just to repeat, 5 years since the Niche Zero, still the easiest workflow and virtually no mess

@@ilkzode1822 sorry you had that experience…. Any chance you used the plastic cup it came with?
I’ve been grinding in the portafilter and it’s been great
