MTH sure did a great job with that paint scheme...looks great operating as a passenger locomotive, too! Looking forward to the reviews on those custom run items, as well! Thanks, Matt. Love your channel! T4
Thank you Mike, I was a bit hesitant when shooting those as night shots don't come out very well sometimes, but I was surprised when I reviewed the footage.
Hey, just found your channel through Eric's Trains and already love the content! I'm actually from the SW Chicago Suburbs and even sold at the Wheaton Train Show with my Grandfather for 15+ years! Keep up the great work!
@@wcmodelrailroad I used to sell in building 4 against the north wall with my grandfather. He was always wearing a Packers or a White Sox leather jacket and hat. Super energetic guy and pretty hard to miss😂
Great looking locomotive. MTH really did do a nice job with it. Enjoyed the review and the running of the locomotive. The night running was very cool. Have a great weekend Matt. Bill B.
The upper and lower headlights are correct for the as delivered FP45 in original paint withe the black Santa Fe on the sides. When repainted to the freight scheme the upper headlight was removed and a Prime Stratolight was placed on the top of the cab. It is a great looking model. Great channel too.
Thank you for watching Ronald. I wish they would have put fake headlights there instead of closing the holes off. I understand for cost purposes why they did it, and I still love the engine regardless.
Thank you RJ, the Amtrak version is pretty sweet looking too. I wish Lionel would do an FP45 or if MTH could do a premier version if that's even possible anymore. I don't remember if they sold that tooling.
Thank you Brandon for watching. That would be an O48 switch, however if I could go back and redo my layout I would have used O72 switches instead for smoother transitions.

Thank you Tiny Town! I'm hoping to have their first run of rolling stock to review any day now.
Thanks for the shout-out Matt! And congrats on finally getting your hands on the FP45.
Anytime bud, and I'm glad I was able to find one.
I come to this channel to see everything Santa Fe! What a unique Diesel engine! Love the horn!
Thank you Sam, you will always find Santa Fe on this channel.
I absolutely love the night shots! 👏👏 Well done, Matt.

Thanks mhgs13 for the info. I remember seeing photos of the top headlights blocked off in the later years. Thank you for watching the channel.
Looks and sounds great, those headlights do look a little funky.

What an awesome engine Matt! I would love to get an Amtrak one, one day.

Thanks for watching Elk River.
Love your videos and layout. I have a question. What switch are you using there in front of fedex 048 or 072? Thanks
Thank you Brandon for watching. That would be an O48 switch, however if I could go back and redo my layout I would have used O72 switches instead for smoother transitions.
Nice is that Protosound 2.0 or 3.0?
Ryan it's PS 3.0 from 2019, and thank you for watching!
