The manual transmission is fun to play around with.

I'd go for the transistor sheild for some nice elemental damage increases, and the time skip can work nicely in status effect builds. The transmission is way too gimmicky and there are better ARs.
Fair points. In this game there aren't very many AR's that do damage in end game. The Donkey and Transmission (w/ the right element) seem to be the only two. Yeah, I'm a dude who isn't great with multitasking. I can either eliminate enemies or look at my ammo counter, but can't focus on both. Crits count and I crit less when looking away from where I'm tryna aim. Ammo counter checks are strictly between fights
I watch it at first, but after a little practice, it's just a timing thing that becomes kind of second nature eventually to a degree. Try firing the Manual Transmission, while you're in a non-combat zone to practice. Just so you can watch the bar and practice it and the gear shift timing.
It may take a few tries, but you may eventually like it.
You'll be able to change gears just by sound and feel, without needing to always look down. Best of luck to you. 😊
I get all those in boss runs frequently in the chamber. Still trying to gear up my spellshot laserhands build. Next I might do a pet build with feriore pixies, see what it can do with spell and pet buffs perhaps
A pet build sounds like it would be really interesting with all of the tweaking you would need to do. It would also make a great use of all the many companion perks on the rings, armor, etc. Throw in the Pixies and stuff really does start to get crazy with all of the damage buffs 🙂. How long before you jump on starting that build?

Probably be a week to a month before I start on the pet build, gotta figure out what boosts I can get and where but from what I've seen I think I can make at least a fun mid tier build that doesn't require much interaction. Still need to figure out what would be best for class combo and all that. Companion damage, comp crits and spell damage/crits would be a must, so I'm thinking I might rebuild my original graveborn for the hydras and companion boosts, but it started with the plus 2 to everything except the crit chance negative so I may need a whole new start unless that part can be replaced.
D3 witch doc pet builds were my original favorite, so I want a lazy but effective running build that reminds me of it. That's where I got the inspiration for the idea while I'm struggling to finish my other build. This always happens before I pick favorites depending on what I'm running. For instance, borderlands 1: Roland for everything, masher unforgiven mordy pistol build for craw farms, explosive Brick with a hybrid ogre for everything fast. Or bl3: invincible bear moze when I want stuff dead now or invincible loader Fl4k when I want everything dead while I loot. Sometimes I want to be a part of the chaos and sometimes I just want to watch it happen, pet builds are great for focusing on looting while remaining energy efficient 😆 but 100% pet builds are great when you get tired of doing the work yourself but still want the loot
Edit to add: the gear you need seemingly always drops for the class you don't need it for. Blizzard taught me that. I've seen some amazing gear for my potential pet build that my spellchucker picked up to start it off, hoping it'll return the favor to finish spellboy
2nd edit: spellshot may be secondary class. Have to test, but spellshot skills with armor can exceed 100% crit chance so theoretically feriore shotgun pixies should be crit beasts and spellshot spell use heals add survivability. Just need the right spell, perhaps the right buffmeister? The necklace for fatemaker and companion crits (joint training?) and idk, smart armor or blank slate unless there's something better or just a purple with +3 or +4 spell crit chance. Might not work, if not I'd appreciate any available heads up. Shotgun pixies at 100% crit with all available buffs sounds pretty sick with hydras and such.
Dang that pet build really sounds like it's going to be a blast! When you do Graveborn with max hydra, and then dual spell wield your Spellshot, while tossing pixies...🤯🤯🤯🤯. Spell wise it would be cool to try and run a Dark Buffmeister and either Threads of Fate or Test out a damage boosting Sigil. With the Buffmeister and the either Threads or a Sigil going, you could keep tossing your guns to make more Hydras in the area and possibly just overwhelm the mobs.
One thing I do love is duel wielding Threads of Fate. But to have the pets there as well would be great. So you would be constantly getting health and crewing up the mobs. But still l, it'll probably come down to how well (and how long) your gear can make your hydras and/or pixies last.

🙂This weeks spell isn't something that I often use day to day, but it definitely has it's moments. It's not terrible at getting hp back. However, it still feels overshadowed by the Threads of Fate.
