I’ve recently got back into playing wonderlands. It has so much potential but I’m at chaos 85 and at this point want to target farm certain items for my build which doesn’t exist in this game.
This is true but at the same time why. I understand why people like target farming but at the same I find target farming to be ridiculous with how many parts that in the game that it still would not be better.
@@TheBlakamon15 Because if I can go to one enemy who has the drop in their loot pool it's better than running a 10 to 20 minute chamber run and HOPING the Barf Bunnies drop the item you want.
I've been playing Wonderlands solidly for a few weeks now (Dec '23 Jan '24) and thoroughly enjoyed it. Really looking forward to BL4 too. I just hope they focus more on the writing this time
Is it weird that I've had a lot of fun just enjoying... random legendary drops? I know most people like to turn their brain off in BL now, run the same boring route to get their one specific item for 'muh build' and because the endgame balance is probably still borked as heck, that IS the only legitimate way to play that stuff. But like. I honestly liked it way more when in BL1 I could just have reasonable legendary drops, not know what I would get, and actually being able to WORK with more than the few select quirky interactions my weird build turns into infinite damage potential. I know this is probably very cynical, and I'm pretty much the only person in the world who's tired of "target farm legendary from same 2 minute loop" but well. I'd enjoy it back to random but workable.
I've recently gone deep into BL3 with my daughter on PS5, been super fun. Daughter is not digging the grind of end game, so I picked up Tiny Tina's as I just can't with BL/BL2 lol We are only around lvl 12ish, and I'm not really sold on it. I don't know, the gun play feels very awarded, I'm hoping once we get higher level it will feel better. Also trying to play this game coop on PS5 is a freaking nightmare. How in the world did the screw up the UI so badly for split screen.
My ideal Borderlands game formula would be Borderlands 2/3 loot system, Wonderlands level story quality and entertainment value (because nothing is going to top Handsome Jack in my book), and Borderlands 1 item balancing. What I mean by that is that I don't want to rely on having all the best gear to do work in stuff like raid bossing or takedowns, like how a Double Anarchy can carry you for at least like 5 levels until you get another one. Borderlands 2, 3 and Wonderlands also gave me the feeling that if I wasn't constantly healing or negating damage some other way I was going to die instantly, in Borderlands 1 you had way more survivability if you didn't kill everything within the 1st 5 seconds of encountering a group of enemies.
I realize this is a year too late, but as someone who didn't care for the game on release, I just recently tried getting back into it. I'm really enjoying the game now. I think looking at the game as a spinoff instead of a true Borderlands game has really helped my perspective on it. The DLCs are very disappointing, especially for their price. If they were cheaper, I think they would've been received better. The story is fantastic, and the gameplay is my favorite so far. I understand the criticism behind the chaos chambers, but as someone who enjoys the grind. I actually enjoy them. Pushing the higher levels and testing the limits of the builds I can come up with is so sastisfying. It feels like a natural progression to push players to find min maxes for their build and help them understand the deeper mechanics behind their class. When I first started playing the Borderlands series, I never really thought too much about what skills I speced into and how it would affect my play. Wonderlands helped me push past that kind of casual mindset of the games and has reignited my love for the series yet again. (Although I never really lost it and always found myself going back to the older games just for the experience and for some of the fun and satisfying farms for good drops.)
The dropchance in borderlands for the sham for example was only 3,3% while it was 0,3% to drop the best version of it. In general the drop chanced for the best items per slot is way higher in wonderlands.
I think what Wonderlands needs is more content and better loot RNG, with that maybe the game will be saved, and just when Borderlands 4 comes up, they need to learn from their big mistakes
Better loot rng? For dedicated drops maybe but I can litterly do one chaos run and get a lot of gear pretty easy since there is not that many legendary weapons in the loot pool. The problem is different parts and armor being difficult to get. They need to solve that problem first before they mess with loot rng as a whole.
Gotta be honest. I think BL needs a reroll system for everything not just anoits. And I feel the best way to do that is to make it cost other variations of the item. Wanna reroll the prefix of your victory rush? Lose another victory rush for it. The skills on you seein dead aren’t to your liking? Use another one to reroll. That way it keeps the farm true. So to get a perfect item you still need to farm that item. That way it feels like progress whenever you get it. And farming for gear feels doable. Also read only farming (or something similar) and resetting farms without loosing your coop partners needs to be a thing built into the game. Other than that I‘m pretty happy with BL3 for the most part. And even wonderlands (besides the dlc). Though I dislike the dependency on lootluck for dedicated. For worlddrops it’s fine I think.
Yeah, I think it was the BL2Fix mod that gave the option to reroll mission rewards for Eridium. I like that idea. I'm fine with hunting Legendary items as is and not rerolling those... as long as the balancing stays good like in BL3 and Wonderlands, that way you don't HAVE to have perfect parts.
@@Ki11ersix i don‘t know. Feels kinda unfinished. A bit of a perfectionist in that regard. Also depends on the item. Been trying to get myself a decend elem projector white elephant. Looking at the 0.057% dropchance as dedicated (without looking at passives) made me lose motivation. It doesn‘t feel like progress, it feels like hitting your head against a wall.
I did like the game. Its was fresh and new. The part I didn't like was the forced dungeon things. And the lack of good dlc. And the chaos chamber. I prefer either mayhem mode or op mode.
The thing Bl3 got right to make me want to replay is thr class mods. I've decided to make a character for each class mod ans honestly making a barrier build for the cold warrior is amazingly fun
This video is more about Killer Six grinding and farming a particular weapon than what the title suggests, I'm considering trying Wonderlands again at some point because I've played all the Borderlands games so far and because there is no Borderlands 4 yet its probably the only other option is to play this again
one year in... it was a bit rough. 2 years in it was god tier. Took Time. HOWEVER... remember it took THREE YEARS for BL2 to fix their drop rates (used to be 3% for dedicated drops at launch)
@Ki11er Six Yeah, you're right K6, but it feels like this game has been abandoned since September. I don't think we'll get quality of life updates like that in Wonderlands
I feel like when people play this game they don’t look at it as it’s own game can’t play a diff game and expect it to be the same as the last just enjoy it for what it is
The only thing holding this game back, in my opinion, is the insane amount of farming required for specific items, making world drops the only real viable way to get what you're looking for.. oh and the "DLCs"
Not even dlcs, theyre "PLC"s now. And remember, this whole game was based on TTAoDK, a fantastic DLC. What a total step back from that masterpiece to this cashgrab
Until they add story dlc expansions, raid bosses with dedicated drops, Ng+ and endgame then there’s no point in even playing while BL1/2/3/PreSequel exist
I farmed the x3 ice shotgun frommm the one pirate boss, ended up getting it, found a video that said in that setup its like 0.00000016% drop, ain nobody got time for that
I platinumed this game already on PSN, I ain’t ever touching it again. BL2 and BL3 just brought more content wise. Wonderlands just brought a wet fart.
I´m still considering buying this game, right now on Steam the sale is 50%, I think I´ll wait when the sale reachs 65% and lets pray for Gearbox give us another 10lv for endgame, I mean lv40? really? That´s sad, few options on skill tree 😥
So my best guess, is borderlands 4 is a create your own vault hunter game. It's time for the war that was promised. You give players like 9 classes, and let plays pick three to have skill trees in. Genius
Picked it up half-off last week, been enjoying it so far. Not too concerned about the endgame being meh, after four years of Destiny 2 I'm pretty burned out on endgame grind anyway.... Not too confident in the future of the Borderlands series with the Embracer group owning Gearbox now. Guessing the monetization to actual content ratio is only going to get worse.
Just picked this up today for 17.99 for the ultimate edition..so far having a good time only made it to level 13 today . But needed a break from BL3. I went back to 2 for a while .. but wanted to try this, and for the price, it's pretty good . I think endgame will be fun ..
Now with everything released is this game worth getting? It's on sale for super cheap (10 Pounds for the chaotic great edition) and wanted to know if it's worth getting.

This was a great 20-30hr main story game, but that's the extent of it. The menu's look like they're a long lost BL1 alpha, and the Luck stat just doesn't gel with BL eng-game loot grind. 6/10 Waiting on Bl4 +18mo when the bugs are fixed and weapons are balanced, lol
I loved TTW ngl! Could the DLC been better and longer? Yes. Is TTW a overall bad game? No. From my experience it’s a good game all around. I’ll give it a good 7 on a scale of 10 rating. If some people don’t like it, then why you’re still playing it? Just delete it or forget about it and move on. Simple as that. If you want to purchase it or not(Or wait until it’s on sale).
With the complete lack of content they dropped on wonderlands it just makes me wish all that time was put into more borderlands 3 content wonderlands isn’t a bad game at all but I dropped it as fast a pre sequel because there’s just not much to do once you beat the game and I’m not willing to go chaos 100 with all 10 of my characters
It feels as though they gave heart and effort at first but after they got their money they didn't give a rats ass anymore. Like most productions lately. It feels like a lot of mistakes they have made could be quickly fixed. Maybe they could give out some free content (like how bl3 did) or add a fantastic dlc that goes with the first pass. Ik free stuff is impossible but we should be given something even more so for the people who bought the 100 dollar version (my poor dad)
I'm still disappointed that you don't get two action skills. The trailer said dual class :s Also a big lack of actual skills that are not + X % on stat Y.
The only thing i find annoying is this game is when my companions dont do nothing im a spore warden/clawbringer and my whole setup involves needing my companions to do something which isnt good when my wyvern glitches in the sky and also the fact u gotta buy the dlcs like 🗿
I mean the honesty in the beginning was refreshing...... At least admitting to the crazy helps... Thanks for the Vod K6!! I enjoyed playing through this game but the DLC's and the Endgame like people have been saying are super lacking, it could have been SO GOOD.
i genuinely think they need to shed some of the old borderlands stuff. keep its theme/look the same but the humor and mechanics need to change. also the writing... its so bad.
You want a complete tonal change in the story? Borderlands is childish humor, over the top action, guns guns guns and crazy action skills. NPCs are crazy because it’s a crazy universe this game exists in.
The community is not to blame for VERY short, repetitive DLCs and Endgame being just chaos chambers. The community also isn't to blame for Named enemies not respawing on their maps and for dedicated drops being abysmal.
@@Ki11ersix Then why asre you saying it isnt bad when you clearly still hate it? The entire game has a whole is better then bl2 and i will die on this hill. Choas chambers is more fun then any end game bl2 had
@@Ki11ersix say it with me: Wonderlands isn’t Borderlands. It’s an $80 pet project spin-off piggybacking on the lukewarm success of 3 and the highly acclaimed DLC of 2. It’s a little less than a year old. The community can eat itself alive for all I care. Wonderlands is fun as hell.
No, the issue was the endgame. Instead of adding new endgame content, geatbox decided to add more boring grinding. Chaos 20 was perfect, chaos 35 is eh, and chaos 50 is just a bore
About the drop: not to mention a lot of gears don't have a dedicated source, so if you have an idea of a build, when you finally randomly get the gears you need, you are so sick of the game you just want to quit.
I wish they just used regular guns instead of the “fantasy” versions. None of the guns feel like guns in use. Shotguns have no “punch”. Sniper rifles suck all around in general. Etc.
A large part of the older Borderlands games’ appeal (for me) was the hand crafted feel: the care and attention to detail. Wonderlands in particular feels procedurally generated in some intangible way, which I believe it was. Read somewhere (after putting the game aside) that AI was used in asset generation? So I just don’t feel the love anymore. I suspect Gearbox will lean into AI for BL4: in which case, I’m out.
I don’t think AI was used at all, except maybe with the random character generator. The maps are all beautiful and handcrafted. Probably the most beautiful maps in the franchise.
I went back and revisited both games and I feel like BL3 is just better, tiny Tina's has crap loot and their guns don't have good variety and when I find a legendary it is usually crap, something else I noticed that the maps look 4k but the enemies and guns look like they are 1080p
Hey K6 I bought the deluxe edition of Wonderlands when it launched but when I went to do a new play through I didn’t have any of the new classes. Was there another DLC that isn’t part of the season pass? Or am I missing something?
When I got in I was so happy with the story and game play however what brought me away was dlc I thought when looking at the scroll like map dlc would be extension of that map with new content not just mirrors
even with the rates being the waya they are, early game with no loot luck, i still got so many more legendaries than i EVER got in borderlands 2 in a casual playthrough no farming. ive played through bl2 a ton, but i maybe twice ever gotten a legendary to drop. but wonderlands i got like 5 in a playthrough. even if the statistics say its less likely i like wonderlands system better

Yeah I’ve heard split screen is terrible. Sorry
I liked TTW. It lacked in end game, certainly.
But in regards to dude, get your toon to 100. You'll have more than enough gear to scratch your itch!
The dropchance in borderlands for the sham for example was only 3,3% while it was 0,3% to drop the best version of it. In general the drop chanced for the best items per slot is way higher in wonderlands.
Wonderlands is pre-sequel all over again
Bought it a few days ago. No regrets so far. Enjoying everything. I just hope I can find an unkempt sir Harold If there is one. No spoilers please 😊
Still cannot believe this game doesn’t have a new game plus
K6, I just wanted to tell you that I got a world drop Linoge when playing Borderlands 3 today. That's all.
I REALLY hope to the gods and R&NGebus that they DON'T put loot luck in Borderlands 4.
You are succumbing to madness with each video
The thing Bl3 got right to make me want to replay is thr class mods. I've decided to make a character for each class mod ans honestly making a barrier build for the cold warrior is amazingly fun
This video is more about Killer Six grinding and farming a particular weapon than what the title suggests, I'm considering trying Wonderlands again at some point because I've played all the Borderlands games so far and because there is no Borderlands 4 yet its probably the only other option is to play this again
Wonderlands is worth playing, beating and 100%-ing.
Love the blaster w the vivid explosive colorful scenes, this viedo was a blast, with once again helpful guide and tips
Great base game. Sub par support after release. But I love the leveling up new characters and playing the story.
The loot problems is what happens when everyone bitches about the loot in bl3. The loot drops were PERFECT in bl3
I absolutely love the blightcaller class, I have a chaos 100 build and can nuke every boss.
I think the writing is some of the best of all time in wonderlands
Remember BL3 was still thriving at this point in its life
one year in... it was a bit rough.
Well the best farming spot in my eyes are the chaos chambers. massive loot in the end and my bladecaller just walks through chaos 100 runs.
I feel like when people play this game they don’t look at it as it’s own game can’t play a diff game and expect it to be the same as the last just enjoy it for what it is
shadowfire is mvp of this episode
The only thing holding this game back, in my opinion, is the insane amount of farming required for specific items, making world drops the only real viable way to get what you're looking for.. oh and the "DLCs"
It was never a bad game just lacks replayability and the dlc are trash
Exactly
got this a week ago and im having fun, i just kept in mind that this isnt borderlands
Tiny Tina, is a great game! Loads of fun, this is my second time playing, went back to it after 12 months and love it!!
The DLCS are disgusting, when they released that is when I quit.
DLC 3 is great. DLC 4 has the Blightcaller which is awesome. But otherwise full agreement from me.
Not even dlcs, theyre "PLC"s now. And remember, this whole game was based on TTAoDK, a fantastic DLC. What a total step back from that masterpiece to this cashgrab
I hope to learn these builds and get as far as this guy. The damage on those chaos bosses are flat out insane after seeing you killem in seconds.
Your viedos r always great and never bad, love the vivid colorful explɔding scenes with what looks like laser lights, another overall awesome viedo
so you said "throw stuff until they die"?
If you can find it cheap it's worth the buy. Not a bad game. I just had to get used to the spells and how the gear correlation with each character
So my best guess, is borderlands 4 is a create your own vault hunter game. It's time for the war that was promised. You give players like 9 classes, and let plays pick three to have skill trees in. Genius
If you get to fight plc2 boss in difficulty 3 and 4, you can unlock the miasmic mail for even more elemental damage and status chance?
I think wonderlands' story is the best of all gearbox games
Agreed
Ill never understand why gearbox gave up on this game so fast. Like for real 4 months after launch and they moved on..
Big same
Picked it up half-off last week, been enjoying it so far.
Were the drop rates in Tiny Tina's a direct result of all the complaints that drop rates were too good in BL3?
That's probably why they implemented loot luck as well.
I would guess so, but they went about it all wrong.
@@Ki11ersix I agree, Tina's was still really fun tho and I cant wait till BL4.
Now with everything released is this game worth getting? It's on sale for super cheap (10 Pounds for the chaotic great edition) and wanted to know if it's worth getting.
It's worth a playthrough, but it lacks endgame and DLC content.
@@Ki11ersixBought the game pretty much as soon as you said it was worth it, can say I’ve had more fun so far in this game then the entirety of BL3 (probably a hot take) but the style, the weapons and the story just feel better in my opinion. Thank you for the recommendation, this game’s relit my love for the franchise!
What build do you have?
I show it in the final episode of this batch of videos on Wonderlands
This was a great 20-30hr main story game, but that's the extent of it. The menu's look like they're a long lost BL1 alpha, and the Luck stat just doesn't gel with BL eng-game loot grind. 6/10
Waiting on Bl4 +18mo when the bugs are fixed and weapons are balanced, lol
The hatred in his voice playing this game Lmao the passive aggressive I can feel it
I know im kind of late but what class is the character you are using in the video
If BL4 going to be like BL3, then don’t purchase it and wait a year or so. After people give their opinion of the game after said time, before *you* come to a final conclusion. If you want to purchase it or not(Or wait until it’s on sale).
Do you need a dlcs to have two skill trees or is it just progression in the main story?
Progression of story
With the complete lack of content they dropped on wonderlands it just makes me wish all that time was put into more borderlands 3 content wonderlands isn’t a bad game at all but I dropped it as fast a pre sequel because there’s just not much to do once you beat the game and I’m not willing to go chaos 100 with all 10 of my characters
Disagree.
I don’t care about drop rate. I just care about dedicated drops and something to actually do other chambers/mirrors which are just more chambers
Wonderlands Pros and Cons
Pros: Gameplay, Story, Sidequests, Overworld, Skills, Weapons and Spells, Locations
Cons: DLCs, the WORST in any BL game
I've bought this game recently and I love it game wise but there just isn't enough new loot for me. But I love the game
Do you still have to grind through every chaos level, or does it go up by 5? I don't know that stuff because end game was just a pain
Goes by 5 up to 50 then 1 level at a time after that.
@@Ki11ersix thats good to know, makes early chaos levels somewhat bearable then
I'm still disappointed that you don't get two action skills. The trailer said dual class :s
Also a big lack of actual skills that are not + X % on stat Y.
I'm glad I never purchased this game. It's rare I get to avoid buyers' remorse
The only thing i find annoying is this game is when my companions dont do nothing im a spore warden/clawbringer and my whole setup involves needing my companions to do something which isnt good when my wyvern glitches in the sky and also the fact u gotta buy the dlcs like 🗿
So how much endgame/viable weapons and builds are there? Base game anyways (I know there's chaos chambers)
Endgame viable about 10 or so. So… technically more than BL2
@@Ki11ersix I'll stick to bl3 till this is like 10 bucks then lol
Thank you k6 😊
Yoooo the cooling aint the beast it was, but definitely still beastly. You never let me down fam💯
Are we going to get a build video? Please?!
I mean the honesty in the beginning was refreshing...... At least admitting to the crazy helps... Thanks for the Vod K6!! I enjoyed playing through this game but the DLC's and the Endgame like people have been saying are super lacking, it could have been SO GOOD.
I feel like this game could have been so much better
i genuinely think they need to shed some of the old borderlands stuff. keep its theme/look the same but the humor and mechanics need to change. also the writing... its so bad.
You want a complete tonal change in the story? Borderlands is childish humor, over the top action, guns guns guns and crazy action skills. NPCs are crazy because it’s a crazy universe this game exists in.
Wonderlands was never bad, the issue was the comminity.
I agree. The hairsplitting is unnecessary.
Etc.
Yeah the shotguns and snipers felt terrible to me too
A large part of the older Borderlands games’ appeal (for me) was the hand crafted feel: the care and attention to detail.
Probably the most beautiful maps in the franchise.
should i play wonderlands again ? i never beat it , i got to the part where the water like disappears i guess
I think the base game is absolutely great for a playthrough, but the endgame and DLCs are lacking.
@@Ki11ersix okay i’ll give it another shot
Currently enjoying this game, but yeah, loot drop rate is terrible.
“Massive step back” but he compares it to one of the most broken farms across all borderlands games.
How is Savage Lee a broken farm? 10% drop rate
@@Ki11ersix ikr took me about an hour and a half just to get an unkempt harold on one of my runs
He compared it to Savage Lee.... not a perfect Grounded Hide farm
@@captainspaulding5963 savage lee drops the harold tho ?>
He was making a joke
1% dosent change much about the loot
Invisible sucking you say?
Listen…
I went back and revisited both games and I feel like BL3 is just better, tiny Tina's has crap loot and their guns don't have good variety and when I find a legendary it is usually crap, something else I noticed that the maps look 4k but the enemies and guns look like they are 1080p
Hey K6 I bought the deluxe edition of Wonderlands when it launched but when I went to do a new play through I didn’t have any of the new classes. Was there another DLC that isn’t part of the season pass? Or am I missing something?
4th DLC has the Blightcaller class.
When I got in I was so happy with the story and game play however what brought me away was dlc I thought when looking at the scroll like map dlc would be extension of that map with new content not just mirrors
Hey K6. Any chance you will do some Manufacturer playthroughs of TTWL? I am currently toing a Stoker Stabb/Spore
Maybe. I dunno. I have no desire to do 60 Chaos Chamber runs to hit max level
@@Ki11ersix Still tons of opportunity for humorous content
Don't think of it as a Borderlands game and its fantastic.
Fair.
even with the rates being the waya they are, early game with no loot luck, i still got so many more legendaries than i EVER got in borderlands 2 in a casual playthrough no farming. ive played through bl2 a ton, but i maybe twice ever gotten a legendary to drop. but wonderlands i got like 5 in a playthrough. even if the statistics say its less likely i like wonderlands system better
Exactly. People hold up BL2 as if less viable loot dropping is a good thing and I don’t get it
Sigh it would’ve been awesome to play this game too bad my Xbox one was being stupid …… and decided that the desk was dirty or something like that :(
