      In football we call that "filming", at least in my country. You can get carded for it, both yellow and/or red card. It's so cringe/pathetic :/ just play the game. If you're better, you win. If you're not, well, get better. Don't resort to pity-tactics. It's 2023 in a bigass stadium, you're gonna be captured from 4 different angles in 60 fps 4k.

    There was an Italiian soccer ref, Pierluigi Collina, he's a legend, and a Welsh rugby ref. Nigel Owens also a legend, they took no disrespect and the players respected them for it. How reffereeing should be done. there are likely a number of compaltion vids cover them both.

    This reminds me of my worst sportsmanship moment. One time in a golf tournament, I three-putted a hole. I was so upset with myself that I slammed my putter into the green, which caused the shaft to bend at almost a right angle. I tried to bend it back and it broke, with just a foot of shaft left attached to the head. I had to putt the last 8 holes with a 12 inch putter. My two playing partners could barely stifle their laughter when I'd bend over the putts.

      I remember when my dad chunked a very expensive golf club into a pond. He then went towards the edge of the pond to see if he saw it anywhere in the water that we shallow. If I was him I would have gotten in the water and looked for it but he kept playing😅😅😅

    For that kickboxing match where the dude turned around to walk to his corner. It's hard to call that a cheap shot considering the amount of time left in the round. You could maybe make the argument if there was 1 or 2 seconds left, but over 2 minutes. The guy probably got rocked by the knee earlier and didn't even know what was happening.

    • @pattygreen8064
      @pattygreen8064 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      you don't hit someone with their back turned, its not a real fight its a match so regardless of the time left in the round, its a pretty cheap and cowardly way to fight. i dunno thats how i was brought up, i wouldn't even hit a stranger in a bar fight if his back was turned.

    • @Nikephorus
      @Nikephorus ปีที่แล้ว

      @@pattygreen8064 Bad take. What's to stop a fighter from just turning his back on his opponent when he gets pressured or rocked by a good hit? Also your example of a stranger in a bar doesn't even make sense in this context. This is a professional bout not a random asshat at a bar.

      Footy players are absolutely shameless at times. Neymar rolling on the ground like he got shot down. Lads going down holding their faces to try and get the opposition sent off. It's embarrassing at times, especially like someone else mentioned when you see what the guys playing rugby are able to cope with.

    I'm glad you explained the boxing-clip, it sucks that they kinda tried to make him out as a bad-guy, when honestly I would probably have done the same in that situation, thinking it was some weird tactic or something.. I thought it was like at the end of the round. But if there were still like 3 minutes left, I get it.

    8:57 To be fair, getting hit in the face or temple with a bottle of water can do some damage depending on how hard it's thrown. I think the purpose of the charge is mostly intended to have a chilling effect on anyone considering doing something like this again. 1:38 The technical term for faking a foul in football (soccer) is "simulation".
    It's rife at the professional level, and far too often goes unpunished, although there has been some small improvement with the benefit of multiple camera angles and instant replay.
    Sadly, it will never go away, especially inside the 18 yard box because the potential benefit is so high.
    In my personal opinion, if a player is called for simulation inside the opponent's 18 yard box, he should receive a Red Card. That would be an appropriate repercussion to offset the potential reward of a penalty kick (90+% chance of a goal).

    These are definitely some of my favorite kinds of videos. Football ⚽️ is so hard to enjoy cause so many of those guys act like idiots. I know NBA players do it to bit not on the same level. Neymar is one of the worst with this. I have no issue with the kickboxer that koed the guy with his back turned just like I had no issue with Mayweather hitting Victor Ortiz when the ref wasn't separating them. The rules are protect yourself at all times and any good fighter has the mentality of never stop until the bell or the ref stops it. Great reaction.

    I used to play cricket for a local village team and Ihave to say the usual attitude was that of bonhomie and rwspect - after all there was no prize, it was not a league, it was just two teams having fun playing agame they liked/loved. Which, of course, makes thos emoments of disrespect and unsportsmanlike behavious stick out like sore thumbs (after all, "it's just not cricket" IS a saying!). Such as the young(ish) - maybe twenties? - batsman (of opposing side) screaming "DROP IT" after he skied a shot, just as one of our fielders, Steve, manouvered to catch it as it fell. Sadly he did drop it, but he put it down to the fact the ball was coming out of the sun and despite an appeal to the umpire for "obstructing the field" the batsman was ruled to be 'not out'. The other, much older, bastman was of teh statte dopinion, "oh, tjhat's how they play in New Zealand" (which was where the youngeter was from apparently). Needless to say that was treated with the scorn a comment such as that deserved. I cannot quite recall what our wicket-keeper said about that, but I suspect I'd not be able to relate it here!!!

    There were some _"soccer"_ clips in this video which were _"floppy"_ . This is why most Americans don't like _"soccer"_ and won't give it a chance. The antics are too "over the top", and they have no shame. It seems to be a European/South American thing that they refer to as (I think) "gamesmanship". The Americans who do like _"soccer"_ are typically young, and were born into it. It's because of that generation of Americans and the influx of European and South American players in the NBA, that league is becoming unwatchable with all the flopping and arm flailing on practically every other play (I blame Vlade Divac). I know the rest of the world doesn't care, but that's the reason (most likely).

    Apart from the absolutely ridiculous ones mainly people like neymar an absolute fool, it's not just gamesmanship with footballers they are buying time for a rest for the team it's exhausting running for an hour with random all out short and long sprints mixed into that. Also people who say footballers are soft after getting kicked in the calf or shin in a football boot have no idea the effects of a calf kick and would probably think they could take one easily lol you watch UFC so you know what a good calf kick can do, also getting metal studs scraped down the inside of your leg is painful as hell.

    No, Neymar isn't trolling. That's his "game" and unfortunately many follow his example. What worse is most refs just allow it to happen. It really ruins football.

    The sort of flopping around they do in soccer is a penalty in North American sports. E.g. @ 1:40

    Herb Dean runs a cannabis academy. Or he will one day, if nominative determinism has its way
