Ladies and gentlemen, welcome back to an awesome Copper haul today. Thanks to my mate who had this put aside for me and to get a Motor of this size for free is just mind-boggling. Well over 20 kg added to the stack today of beautiful, shiny, clean Copper so sit back relax. Enjoy the video and have yourself an absolutely awesome weekend.👋🏻😆
No problem Buddy thanks again my friend 👊🏻😁. Sorry for the super late reply mate but my notifications have been playing up on me🙄. I appreciate the ongoing support man . Have an awesome day bud and chat with you again soon 👊🏻
At 23:46 You might want to have those white fibers tested for Asbestos. "Asbestos was commonly added to wire insulation and electric motors to protect against overheating and prevent fires. While the asbestos in these products was generally encased inside, users could be exposed if the products were opened, such as during repairs." Most likely, the insulation is NOT asbestos, unless the motor is a class F or class H motor.
I was thinking it was fiberglass added to strengthen the resin coating on the wire like how you make a boat. Maybe something done due to the extreme weight of the motor for stability. The resin burned off but fiberglass doesn’t melt outside of a furnace so it was left behind.
You sound like a professional. Thanks for informing everyone. I'm a plumber and am aware that asbestos is everywhere. We have apx 600,000 miles of transit pipe on potable water mains in the USA that are 40-45 years past like expectancy as an example. Transition is also known as A.C. pipe which is short for asbestos concrete. When we remove it there is massive material loss in evidence and it's gotten very soft.
What a grind you had this time! Damage to your asphalt, your poor sledgehammer, unexpected asbestos, a spy plane trying to scope out your secret base, and a rodent squatter. I always look forward to new videos on your channel. Thanks for the great content! 🙂
Hey buddy, cheers for the super thanks mate really appreciate it. No mate I just have a standard turbo diesel. I just add the sound as it really annoys my friends 👊🏻😁

Being from Arizona, I fully appreciate the effort you put in to make content for us. 104°F is no joke no matter who you are. Take care of yourself and those dogs 👍
Absolutely. He's much kinder to field mice than I am, too. When the field near my home was dug up for a strip mall, they chased the mice into my neighborhood by the thousands. It took weeks to get them out, but not before they'd ruined ALL the electrical wiring and pooped everywhere. The house had to be gutted and rebuilt, so we sold it.
Thank you for your fantastic videos. Really motivates me to keep melting scrap into clean raw bars of Brass, Aluminum, Lead, Zinc, Silver, and Copper..keep it up, as we learn a lot from you...
The phone calls with fast forward voice reminds me so much of the first or second GTA with tthe top down view ! It's always a pleasure to watch, with the BigSnackD, the dogs/monkeys and... a happy melting ! Thanks for the videos.
Wrong!!! The original is Charlie Browns teacher when talking in class or on the phone to parents!!! Obviously before your time!!! Haha!!! Peace from Canada 🇨🇦 By over 40 years!!!
Be very cautions of that white insulation fibre in the slots. Older large motors (pre 1999 in UK, not sure of Oz rules) sometimes used asbestos, which can cause serious long-term damage to the lungs.
Hey just wanted to say thanks for your videos, it’s nice to see someone do what they like and make something out of it, your videos are very relaxing and I appreciate what you do. Also say hi to the boys for me.
This is seriously the best YT channel ever. Whenever I see something made of copper or aluminum, I always fondly remember that there is a guy out there somewhere on the opposite side of Earth in Australia who enjoys this activity and his YT videos are making him a lot of money!!! Greetings from the Czech Republic 😉
A Colorado Avalanche fan down under! Hell yea! Loved your channel before, and always knew you were a man of fine taste, but this confirms it! Cheers and thanks for the great videos!
MAN!!! BigstackD, your making me miss my grandmother! She use to make some of the best Polish sausage and Kielbasa ever! I really wish I would have gotten thoese recipes befor she passed.😢😢
I’m guessing around 75 lbs of copper.. I used to watch your channel all the time about a year ago and then I got into crochet.. Went down that rabbit hole.. Now I’m back for my favorite metal ASMR guy!! I missed all of your shenanigans!!
Oh, and I was thinking about 20 kg initially, so I wasn't as far off as I'd thought. Maybe watching your vids all these years now has given me a better eye for estimating? 😂
Kinda didn't miss the ice quench!!!! The ledenfrost effect is rather awesome to see, and isn't as noticeable on the ice block!!!!! Kool to see the ingot sit there for a few seconds, seemingly not doing anything, then violently boiling, in jus a few seconds!!!!
Honestly I liked the fact we had both in one video! The little bit of ice we had was great, but seeing the Leidenfrost happen the other times was great.
When I first saw you use your collapsible ladder, I realized that I needed one just like it. I have a very small area to store things in. And the ladder I bought is perfect. Thanks BigstackD.
On last week's video I commented you needed something to shade your melting area, this week you installed a shade sail 😄 Next you need a ramp so you can roll your heavy stuff on a buggy or something.
That engine hoist jack is really good at signing checks the wheels can't cash lol. It's like whoever made that thing didn't intend it to be used outside

The company I work for scraps one to two of these size motors every couple of months, I've always cut off one end prior to burning out the insulation, the copper strands stay together that way. I put them on 3 four foot pallets and let'em burn. Once the fire has died out I just grab the other end and pull them out with no resistance.
