My beloved late wife and I owned a beautiful large trawler yacht. After her sudden and untimely passing I needed to downsize to a smaller vessel. I live in the Northeast (Connecticut) and did lots of research and attended many boat shows. In 2021 I bought a NEW Ranger Tug R-31 CB (Command Bridge). I can honestly say it is the best boat I have ever owned. It has all the amenities of my larger boat and than some. It is a quality build and the use clever use of space is incredible; literally a Swiss Army knife on the water. She is economical at displacement speeds but still can 'gun-up' to a 16 knot cruise and top-out at 20 knots. I have gotten caught in some really bad weather and seas (5-6 foot waves) off the coast of Massachusetts and she handled them well, probably better than I did! The list of standard features of Ranger Tugs is amazing. Additionally, the factory prides itself on customer service and the dealer network is outstanding. All I can say is that I am extremely happy with my choice and can honestly recommend Ranger Tug for those looking for vessels of this genre!

Hopefully you're able to use it a lot. Take friends and family out. Get your money's worth.

Since you live in CT, as well as I, you should do the Great Northeastern loop. So,... Long Island Sound to NY Hudson River going North to Lake Champlain into the St. Lawrence then East on the Lawrence around the Canadian Maritimes down into the Gulf of Maine and follow coast back to CT. This is a bucket list of mine and doing it in a Ranger Tug or Cutwater.

@@bigguydiy2184 Thank you for that suggestion. I never even thought about it but it does sound like a great journey. My late wife and I took our 43' Albin trawler way up the Hudson to Albany with the intention of entering Lake Champlain but a family member back home got real sick and we returned home. The trip up the Hudson was fun. We did overnights at Haverstraw, Catskill Creek, and Roundout Creek. Hope to see you on the water in a Ranger Tug or Cutwater!

The Ranger tugs are really nice. Next time you get onboard one do a proper walkthrough, it will really help your channel, most of us have to experience them vicariously through TH-cam videos.

Yes indeed Michael! So many boats at the Seattle boat show. It's hard to walk through every boat and show every detail of the boat. It would take days but the Ranger Tug deserves a proper walk through. I'll get it on the next one.

@@northwesthotspots6309 Totally understand, I would also be trying to get onboard every boat I could.
