  • Bikepacking in Pembrokeshire - A Film By Barry Godin
    This is a very different kid of trip for me, the pace slowed down and it was a week just indulging and appreciating the stunning coast line of Pembrokeshire in Wales. We wild camped all 8 nights in some of the best ever camp spots. The weather did help this trip with such stunning sunsets and warm days on the beach.
    With the wild camping, we would pack down the tent very early and tidy up, but then just stay in that spot till midday or early afternoon, painting and relaxing, but most of all just looking and enjoying the incredible place and views.
    This trip the bike was a vehicle to places rather than being the adventure its self, and made a beautiful change to my usual type 2 style journeys.
    So sit back and relax and be transported to Pembrokeshire and please do let me know what you think :-)

    English waters......that should be Welsh waters, good film, the art work was stunning, spent a lot of time diving around there in the past, usually out of Little Haven 👍👍👍

    What a wonderful holiday diary. You can’t deny that when the weather is on your side there’s nowhere more diverse or beautiful than Britain. Thanks for sharing that Barry. And respect to Mrs G. It must be truly wonderful to do that trip with your missus

      @barrygodin7538  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Robert, yes that is the prefect way to describe it, and holiday diary. I was worried at the time how to film and what story to tell, but then we totally relaxed and the trip took a different path and hope that this film shows it. Don't worry many more bike riding films to come, but this trip used the bikes as a different way and I loved it. To do it with her is so wonderful to share those experiences and have the momories together. Amazingly she still want s to come touring with me and have two trips planned this summer together. Thanks you so much Robert :-)

      Worry??? Not me mate. I’ve ridden most of the visitor centres and plenty of wild rides out on our wits and skills. I’ve nailed fort bill DH course and done a few trips to the alps…so, in short I’m no mug when it comes to Mtb’ing but videos of people riding those steep gnarly technical trails are 2 a penny on TH-cam and frankly a go pro video does no justice to a steep trails anyways. Your Pembroke vid is fit to be a Welsh biking holiday information film. All your films bring a little taste of the joy and fun to be had getting out on a bike. Loved the drone vids too but I have to be honest Barry…that Snowdon vid…you’ll be lucky to get a higher mark from me for any drone footage after that. I said it when you posted it. That is and probably will remain one of the best bits of drone footage I’ve ever seen. I still watch that bit regularly. Keep trying though. Just coz I said you might never better it you’ll have fun trying and I’ll still enjoy the films. That’s a win win situation right? 😀

    Thankyou Barry. Loved it. Wanted to say a big Thankyou for all your help and inspiration. BG tips was so helpful and thanks for replying to my message about the Msr Hubba Hubba. We bought one! Now all kitted up and off for our first bikepacking trip next week - Cambridgeshire and Norfolk using Icknield and pedldars way and the coastal path. Should be nice and easy since we are used to riding in the Peak District 😃. Have a good week.

I recon that is why she survived 8 nights wild camping in a row, haha. Your trip sounds great, did a similar route with my girlfriend a few years ago, is sooo beautiful and great riding, have an incredible time and let me know how you get on :-) Happy Pedalling
