Is it me or do all you guys just keep getting better with time. I am a firm believer that to be old and wise, one must begin with young and stupid but it seems you all just move from strength to strength. I cannot wait to see what your next awesome adventure becomes!!

Either way you look at it, it's easy to see that the old Aussie values of mates helping mates is alive and well. I have no doubts you would all be successful in your own merits however, working together has been awesome viewing and vastly helped both brands. Plus being able to see the friendships formed over the years is worth it's weight in gold!

I met you boys in Penrith a few years back now and we had the opportunity to talk about a Gemini I was wanting to build with a 5.7ltr...
At the time the dream was real until we tried sourcing a decent chassis for the engine...
Turns out it was a cheaper option to throw the motor in a BMW 325 for a similar effect.
@@someyoungguy6990 I've actually started my Kadett C project back up (euro gemini) so it would be awesome if the mcm gemini series starts soon. It will be the 2 liter 16 valve C20XE engine and maybe we'll encounter similar issues.

They weren't wrong about the exhaust, I had an S2k and fitted the Invidia Q300 back in 2013. Was so damn easy. Best exhaust for the s2k IMO

Tuning fork is a great interviewer for MCM. Not only does he know all their builds inside and out his bias towards some of their K series nugget builds is great to see.

Hard to beat the Fairlady Z so far, only Mod Max would come close if it was roadworthy. Incredibly keen to see what Marty has in mind for the Gemini ;)

The e30 is my favorite, but the fact that the MCM boys let tuning fork drive their cars is wholesome
I just love the way that these two blokes, having discovered the trick, bring you, Al, Woody etc into the family. The trick is, surround yourself by good blokes, then go like buggery.

My '94 Subaru SVX LSi was my favorite car, and I absolutely will have another one. All the parts and mods it had before I scrapped the shell due to rust (Canadian winters are hell) are sitting in storage just itching to be plopped into a clean example. Since I won't need it as a daily (my XC90 V8 serves that duty), I'll have the freedom to treat it like a proper project car and take my time with it. Plans include a turbo, 6MT swap, R200, and of course, a Haltech ECU to run it all.
Still waiting for the boys to do a build/swap of some kind with the mighty EG33. One can dream...
Supergramps for me. I love wagons. Marty has my vote. I even bought the poster. 😊
Drove my integra k20a2 for 182k miles so 250k km or so. Solid as a rock, barely replaced the accessories belt not an issue. Drove it to Canada in winter, twice. I miss it. I have a swift sport in France now.
the footage of Scotty driving along in the mini with a knee up each side of the steering wheel is f'ng priceless. i'm a bit of a muscle car nut but i have to say that your big block mini and Project Binky would have to be amongst my favourite internet builds ever.

For me it's probably between the inherited project Civic and the MR2 as Marty put so much work into them where most people would have just given up and called it a day.
The blue turd holds a massive nostalgic love for me, and supergramps. But there all awesome in there own ways.

Mad respect to the $300 civic. I’m about to pick up a $600 325ci and save it and rebuild it to a factory new exterior finish.

I'm not traditionally a huge JDM fan, but even outside the context of MCM (I'm a big fan of the channel), I love the Fairlady.
Minis are for ever! I’ve got 2, one for more than 50 years in my family and I like them all. Swapped, std, saloon, vans, pickups, convertibles,… I’ve got other cars, more powerful, more modern, but I still enjoy my Minis, they are such an experience to drive and one is my dayly driver.The fair lady Z is also one of my favorites. Well done over the years, and don’t worry, we all look older nowadays😅

The original version of the mini build was what got me into MCM in the first place. I've watched every video since then.
It'd be Supergramps and the Fairlady for me as well I think. Perfect two car garage.

Scotty's favourite: the 240z is also my favourite.
I had one in the 90's, but mine wasn't very good and I was young, poor and stupid, so I sold it... The MCM 240 brings a tear to my eye every time I see it.
Supergramps has to be the one for me 👌
Great stuff. Been watching MCM since day one. Bought a Vvti 1J Soarer in 2013, since then i've had 3x different turbo setups, 2x different injector setups, 2x different exhaust setups, 2x different gearboxes (currently using a Getrag V160) 3x different ECU setups. (Currently using an Elite 2500) - lots learned from MCM and Scotty. Always informative and entertaining. Turbo and ECU technology has certainly evolved over the years.
My main takeaway; it costs to play, but it makes sense to pay a little more and get the good gear first time round.
Can't believe I missed this! Loved it. And I think I also share my favorite with you Scotty. Something really special about the Fairlady.

Even if it was just a bolt-on upgrade kind of a thing, that 500hp Golf R remains as my favorite.
Yes, win for the S30 datsun nissan 240, but for me, its the HONK! Super turbo😍!!!!!! But the Dihatsu Mira was a close second 🔥! Awesome to see some behind the scenes with the 3 of you, and the coolest projects.
Yaris Hilton was the best. They joked and joked about doing it for a long time and then they actually did it! Weird, off the wall, but then Toyota made a GR Yaris. They raided the parts bin, they did fab work. It didn’t live long but it was hilarious.

Seeing as I own a Daihatsu Mira L502 I'm a little bit biased but the Fairlady is freaking awesome. The Bosozoku car is hilarious. Supergramps!! The Subarute.Taylor Drift. The mini Truck. Jeez.

Totally agree. The most important part of a build is not speed, value etc... It's the connection you have with it, and if you can improve the experience with mods without killing you it's the best feeling... on my side Miata turbo....

Your 240 isn't just one of the best in your fleet, it's one of the coolest cars on the planet. I'd take that car any day over any super car.
Nothing beats the Green Mira they built for Autosalon. Pure nostalgia.
I totally get Scott on this, the S30 is just a super cool car. And while supergramps in many ways is my favorite build, just since it's a fully built "youtube" car that knew where to stop to still be a GREAT car. The only real drawback it has compared to a stock Legacy is fuel milage.
I have to completely agree that the fairlady z is my favorite of all of the mcm cars

In 1973 our wedding photographer was Stuart F McDonald. He took wonderful photos and he drove an Orange 240Z. We were so impressed. I was also very impressed by his collection of Nikon F cameras. I still have one (or two). My daily driver was a Series IIa Land Rover. For many years I drove nothing else. I still have a Disco Td5. But my Subaru Outback is my current daily driver. Owning a legacy, Supergramps really feels like the one to own though. It’s a serious performance car that is still more practical than many normal cars!

scotty we have the same taste in cars! but the z is hard to find where i live so it is very nice to see it here and at the mcm channel, i would love to see you guys just driving the special cars around, and small talking but also just letting us out here behind hear the sound of these cars, thanks alot!

I have been lucky enough to have driven a Fairlady with the triple Webber carbs on. It's something everyone needs to do, I'm not saying for a second I am against modern upgrades, but you just need to experience the old school to appreciate its nuance.

Cool cars - getting rare nowadays.
I may be prejudiced, because Gramps inspired me to buy and mod an 05 Outback XT, but Super Gramps is my all time favorite.
I might feel differently if we could still get a turbo Imprezza based hatch (other than the WRX) in the states. (A wrecked WRX, of similar vintage, was more expensive & has a smaller engine than my Outback).

i had a 1987 toyota troopy and put a 12HT in it. Pulled like a bus load of 13 year old boys. Rebuilt he body. IO have never loved a car more.
