Thank you so much for your great tutorials! No fuss, straight to the point. With you I learn more in a short time than with others with much longer videos.
Well explained, this is the first time in many years that I finaly understood layers blending modes and when to use it, and that even not in may native language! Thanks!
I am relatively new to your channel and catching up on some of your older videos. This is the best presentation of blend modes that I have seen. Thank you very much.
Excellent examples. I like your style of explaining different solutions to enhance an image. Your videos are compact and to the point. Thanks for sharing your ideas.
@@skylerewingphotography THANKS. I have watched many of your vids on NEO. I am aware of your VIDEOS site on YT. Is there something else I am missing? I am going to the computer room to practice your latest techniques. Looking forward to your next NEO "HowTo" video. Thanks again for the education lessons. David
Can you please do a video on Luminar Neo or Photoshop using layers involving confetti. Like some one is blowing confetti? I really enjoy your tutorials.
Great tutorial. Do you think Skylum needs to add the missing Blending Modes: Linear Burn, Darker Color, Color Dodge, Linear Dodge, Lighter Color, Vivid Light, Linear Light, Pin Light, Hard Mix, Exclusion, Divide, and Saturation? These are all included in Photoshop, Affinity Photo, Pixelmator Pro, etc.
Im new to luminar Neo. Im having a problem when I edit my photo and export, my photos are like thunb nails, if I try to open them they are small and are blurry if i enlarge them. I think you had said something about that before but I dont remember what. would love if you could tell me what im doing wrong. Thank a lot .
Hi Skyler, another question from me again…my Neo keeps crashing so I do a complete uninstall (three tonight alone). Once all Neo files are gone I download a completely new Zip from the Skyum site, reinstall then once installed I have still have trouble getting my catalog entered - it takes hours for 21,000 pictures to load and my pictures are organized like yours, in sub folders. Once the catalog is loaded and I pick a pick a photo to edit the cataog button at the top of the page no longer lights up. In other words, I can’t jump to another picture in my catalog. I’ve tried rebooting using the ‘option’ key and booting from a session that I know Neo was working. I pick a session when I was following along with you. That crashes too. I’m running a Mac with 16 g of RAM with intel chips. When I run Neo I shut down every other app and frequently reboot so Neo is the only thing running. Any ideas? BTW your layering lesson helped tremendously last week. I watched a few other tutorials by other instructors and they were complaining that you can’t edit over layers. I thought. “Skyler can.” You’re fast. I need coffee to keep up with you.
I Kevin, I really dont know why you are having this problem . I had Neo crash a few times but didnt have troubles with catalog. To be honest, I use Lightroom mainly for editing and thats where I store all my photos. Only bring them in Luminar for tutorials. And yes, I keep my pace fast and have no intro so I dont waste anyones time. I am debating if I should slow down or not as I am struggling to reach my hours requirements to get monetized. Most of my videos are too short and they dont add up to too much time.
@@skylerewingphotography I would not complain if you slowed the pace. My eyesight is not the best and so often if you don't say where you go exactly I miss the location. It would also be a good idea for you to do a simple "here is how and why I have the photos in "my images" and how many based upon how you often use multiple images of the same image. I still hope that Skylum will do a user manual for NEO.
I gave up on the catalogue. Took hours to load and it seemed to do it double so that under 100 K of images actually came out as over 200 K and no folder structure. I would like to have the structure just like my Explorer folders are arranged. As you can see I am using a PC and not a MAC and am not sure if there is a method of creating an Explorer style of Catalogue. When I did it by using the All Photos it just was mess of "by original capture date" which was totally useless. Uninstalled the program and then removed the catalogue and reinstalled NEO and now can use single image edit at least which allows me to browse for images via Explorer. Decided to try something. Selected single image edit and then Add Photos. Able to browse and then select images and use open or double click to add to that location and then select and use Edit. The one thing I did notice is that the images which seemed perfectly sharp in Faststone Image Viewer did not seem to be the same in the edit mode of NEO. Same result when the image is opened in PhotoScape X Pro in either its catalogue or in the edit module. I suspect the answer would be the same in Affinity Photo which I could also test. Might be something with NEO and maybe an update will fix the issue or it is something related to Windows as opposed to a MAC and again maybe time will fix things.
Thank you so much for your great tutorials! No fuss, straight to the point. With you I learn more in a short time than with others with much longer videos.

Yes, absolutely. If you watched my tutorials, you would know my favorite blend mode is linear light. I hope they will at least add that
Many thanks.
