    You could also use avocado as an alternative to banana, a half would do to thicken the smoothie, specially if you make a green smoothie

    Smoothie bowl all the way, I think psychologically it fills me up more if it’s in a bowl with a spoon, and I think the different toppings just make it the elite option😂

    Smoothies every day for me, thanks. I'm one of the people who don't like banana and I freeze baked (white) sweet potato to use instead as it adds a sweetness, an almost vanilla taste, and satiety.

    Smoothies but thick enough to eat with a spoon from the glass. My favourite smoothie right now is: one frozen banana, half a frozen avocado, cinnamon, almond milk and a scoop of switch nutrition peppermint chocolate flavour. I do also like the vivo life perform salted caramel protein too. I don't eat them for breakfast but find them quite convient and easy on the digestive system as a meal to have before intense exercise like a long run or martial art training. 😊p.s. your videos are always so aesthetic 👌

    I’m both! I like smoothies for convenience but with being home all the time now smoothie bowls are nice and having the toppings can be fun!

    I eat smoothies in a bowl even if I don't put toppings on them. Since you're supposed to chew on your smoothies to help your body with the digestion part, I just find it easier to eat with a spoon and for some reason more filling. Plus my blender doesn't blend till smooth so drinking it with a straw is impossible while I can scrape every bit of it with my spoon from the bowl. 😋

    My kids love making smoothie bowls. They use less liquid and like "decorating" the top with all sorts, flax, chocolate chips, sliced fruit etc. We also tend to drop in/open up supplements as some of us can't swallow them and it easy to hide the taste too! Thanks for great smoothie ideas.

    I’m definitely a smoothie bowl person, I love having lots of granola and peanut butter on top otherwise I just want a snack straight after, but I definitely want to try more smoothies! My usual smoothie bowl is frozen banana, frozen cherries, lots of cocoa powder, and a splash of soya milk. If I’m making that as a smoothie I add two big spoonfuls of peanut butter, a couple of dates, a tbsp of chia seeds, a few heaped spoonfuls of hemp hearts, a handful of oats, and much more soya milk, sometimes some frozen spinach if I feel like it. I’ve got some pineapple in my freezer that I need to use up so will definitely try that last one, I’m always scared to try new recipes in case it isn’t as good as my usual but these all sound delicious!

    Turmeric is excellent for us but our body doesn't absorb it well without black pepper. So a dash or two of black pepper, which you won't taste, will make a huge difference.

    Smoothie, because for me the whole point is quick and easy. The bowls are labor-intensive and while pretty always struck me as pretentious. Congrats on your tripod, the angle is so much better with it.! I love that you've never stopped using jars for the smoothies, it makes your videos so real and relatable. Your kitchen is fabulous! So glad to see you doing cooking vlogs in it.

    I’m definitely a smoothie-bowl person, just because I like to add flaxseeds, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds and walnuts on top to add more fats and omega 3’s! ☺️ I do mix it up a bit though so I’ve been having regular smoothies for some time, just because I find it more convenient to make regular smoothies in the summertime 🥳

    Smoothie person because I'm just practical but yes if someone wants to decorate a bowl for me then sure! I like Kale ginger banana honey greek yogurt and oat milk smoothies.

    Smoothie. Feel the same way about smoothie bowls. My favourite: water, 2 handful of frozen mango, one handful of fresh arugula, one banana, juice of one orange, a teaspoon of flaxseed and one tablespoon of protein powder. I drink it at least twice a week. I look forward to trying these receipes💚🌱

    For me personally, I prefer smoothie bowls because than I am sure I chew enough to digest it probably. Also I love a crunchy granola topping - no need to be fancy :) Love the recipes! I can confirm it easily gets boring with smoothies because you tend to make the same one over and over again :) Lucky, we have you :D

    these look so good!! my go to smoothie at home is almond milk, frozen pineapple mango and raspberries with honey, chia and hemp seeds. a scoop of collagen powder as well. it’s amazing!!!

    I don’t like smoothies because I like to chew and I find drinking my meal unsatisfying. I love açaí bowls and with frozen organic sugar free açaí packets found at Whole Foods, it takes me less than 5 minutes to prepare my breakfast, yummy granola included. Oh, I have a Vitamix too, which is a huge help.

    My favorite is Meghan Markle's go-to healthy smoothie (per a 2015 interview): 1 packet shake powder of choice (I use vanilla flavor, one scoop), 1/2 cup frozen blueberries, 1 tsp. cinnamon, some chia seeds, 1/2 cup almond milk, 1/2 cup coconut water. It's tasty and low on calories!

      @@eatingwithselina8482 I just use what's available at the grocery store. Right now I have a tetra-brik of "Thirsty Buddha" in the fridge (natural, not from concentrate). What I do make sure to get is organic frozen blueberries (the big bag at Costco is more cost-effective), and organic almond milk (unsweetened) whenever I can.

    Excellent vegan smoothie recipes Madeleine even though I haven't made many smoothies or smoothie bowls since being vegan.     Definitely a smoothie because it's so much more convenient. I did make a smoothie bowl once and honestly it was eh. The leftovers I just froze in cubes to chuck into an actual smoothie.

    I'm not sure if you know this but spinach, beet greens, and Swiss chard are high in oxalates which cause kidney stones. So i wouldn't recommend using it in smoothies. Abetter choice would be kale, collards, or arugula. Thanks for the great recipes :)

    Smoothie girl here. I have only had a smoothie bowl once and as nice as it was, I am lazy and don't want to go to the trouble of putting together a smoothie bowl. Smoothies are great on the go and you can take them room to room and you don't have a bowl of cold melting fruity soup to deal with.

    I'm for smoothie! If I may recommend a very good affordable blender, it's Sage Fresh and Furious. I bought it in John Lewis two years ago and just love it. It crushes everything perfectly, the best £165 I ever spent! A bit noisy though, but that's because it's very powerful.

    That's the fab thing about you! Your tip is what I have to do. Not all of us have the luxury of a vitamix.. My kitchen gadgets dream😍🙏... Hopefully one day.     I'm a smoothie/proteinshake person, but I like them to be very thin, almost like a juice.
    When a smoothie is too thick i add water and drink it or add granola and eat it with a spoon like smoothie bowl. =D

    Have you been to Colours Cafe in Truro? They do good smoothie bowls.......well they just do great food. We are treating ourselves to breakfast there tomorrow, weather permitting. Also The Cornish Vegan is fabulous, with a lovely little outdoors. Feels like you’re in the Med!

    I have glass straws so I know they are clean because bits still stay even after soaking, so atleast I know it's clean and also I didn't like the stainless steel ones on my teeth

    On the written recipe for the chocolate smoothie, the coco powder ingredient is missing, so was wondering how much of it to add? This looks delicious and looking forward to a change from the green and mango ones I usually have. Thanks!

    you can also use frozen zucchini in a smoothie instead of the banana. can't taste it at all and it's easier to blend than a frozen banana.
