I like the light loads, lots of fun, less recoil, noise, & cost. I have learned a great deal from you and Walter both. Thanks to both of you. Have fun at the range. Mike.
Hi fortune cookie 45lc I wanted to tell you your videos inspired me to start reloading maybe around a year ago. My first cartridge being .44 special. I've gotten a bit better since then but I just want to say your videos have been invaluable. I'm a young shooter who loves cowboy guns and want to keep the tradition alive thank you so much
So glad to see you doing new content. I've been away from TH-cam a bit. You are a true craftsman my friend. Love how good you are at this important trade. You def made me a better reloader and caster.
Great video! I'm a new re-loader and was very blessed to receive some bullets and brass from Mr. Walter Bunning. He's a great man, generous, and extremely helpful. I was also lucky to pick up a can of Trail Boss this past weekend and (being new to this) was a little freaked out to see the "little donuts" until I remembered hearing about them.😃 Not sure exactly what I'll load with it but the price was good and I'm collecting components as I go. Thanks for the entertainment and education FortuneCookie45LC!
Glad to finally see a Redding press on your channel. I started reloading about 5 years ago. And after much deliberation went with the Big Boss II press. By the way, I learned so much from watching your channel.
I did the same project just yesterday. However i used Lee 45 Colt dies, the problem i run into was that the 45 Colt flaring die couldn't expand the case wide enough to enable seating of a powder coated bullet without scraping. i'm gonna order a Lee Schofield die set and a Lee universal flaring die. What's your opinion on these, it,s advertised to be optimal for use with cast bullets. I've got the Lyman M dies for flaring 38spl and 30-30 cases when using cast bullets. Works great.
the powder coat is a hard layer and has very little friction. it acts like a plating and a lube. barrels stay cleaner than with either because there is little to no metal to metal contact.
I've been watching your 'old' ha-ha powder coat videos, this is all witchcraft to me,but, I'm learning, all these years, all this ammo I've never rebuilt 9x19mm before, youngest son carries a 9mm now and then I got goofy and bought a 9mm carbine ,so..... well YOU know HE wants green ZOMBIE bullets..... so old Dad has to learn to make GREEN bullets... OIE ........... KIDS...
Beautiful to see FC doing what he does best……. Informing us and introducing us to great TH-camrs such as Mr Bunning his channel is chock-full of useful information. I also would like to see a couple good friends of mine on TH-cam CWLongShot and Uncle Jim. But there channels were completely wiped out for absolutely no reason. It’s seriously a absolute travesty when you see stuff on TH-cam that’s very vulgar to say the least. Some of the music videos I have watched on TH-cam before the actual video I’m trying to watch is sickening. Also what’s the deal with the adds for AIDS medicine I mean what the hell is going on with this platform. Get rid of good wholesome channels and replace them with smut. Smh sorry for the rant but I have to say I’m just really upset about these 2 channels being wiped out.
I reload 4 pistole calibers with TiteGroup & Lee dies. Several YT videos have committed that certain dies other than Lee do not do a full case resize. I'm sure RCBS is a great item but it pops up several times that dies other than Lee do not do a full case resize.
I like both, but I keep things what they are. 38spl is a 38spl. If I want the boom I go to my 357mag loads. same with 44spl and 44mag, with the exception of my sons 44spl hunting loads which I pushed just a little, but its in a 44mag chamber so......
I too like light load, and for the life of me, could NOT *ever* get any consistency out of Trail Boss. I have much better results from SR-4759 (hope it returns), AA-5744, and Shooters World Buffalo.

Very solid press its always a pleasure to watch your videos thanks
Walter is a great guy 👍🏻🇺🇸
This is great powder, use it in all straight wall cartridges from 38 spl to 45-70.
Those rounds look amazing. Job well done!

I like the color, thanks Steve!
nice work sir. hot lead zone!!
Great video
Like another commenter, I thought it looked like a bowl of cereal at first glance.
Nice video. Wished I could find Trail Boss and primers.

That's some weird looking powder :D
@fourtunecookie45, do you have a preferred trail boss load for 45 cowboy special?
I'll stick with Unique powder for my 45 Colts reloads.
Perty stuff!
I’ve never used powder coated bullets before. I don’t see any lube on them. Is it unnecessary with the powder coating ?

I like that color
1:10 - Also .45 Auto Rim and .45 ACP!

I loaded some .308 subsonic yesterday. Only problem is the powder is so dirty barrel gunks up fast.
try unique, you can find loads in the most reloading books for reduced loads.
@@petalexben4227 in Australia we are limited. Usually have to stick to ADI

Help to test ammo target iron / animal MR.

Too bad you can't actually purchase Trail Boss.
