  • How I turbocharged my 2012 CTS coupe 3.6 LFX. I don’t see to much info out there so I thought I would share what I have so far. Any questions feel free to ask.
    45mm WG
    t76 with .68 BH
    12-15 Zl1 fuel pump
    31”x12” intercooler 4” core 3” I/O
    GM content sensor
    ZR1 MAP - 3 bar
    Zl1 pump intank
    Break out baro from maf
Stock GM E39 ecu tuned with HPtuners
Missing costs from this like tools, welding wire, cutting/grinder disks, drill bits/taps, scrapped exhaust ideas, tuning (shoutout to ‪@thatturbotruck‬) & a lot of time. The power estimates are with losing/not maintaining rail pressure with the stock HPFP.

Excellent video very limited knowledge for the LFX engine. Currently I’m in the same boat doing my own research doing a turbo on the Camaro currently have e85 but still need to figure out the exhaust manifold and piping for the turbo. Just recently I came across a site that sells LFX flange elbows planning on cutting those and running them to the turbo and life a little easier. How did you do your exhaust?

@@ICYG69 Thankyou, yeah I found it kinda difficult to find an at home style build to find information from. I cut the original flanges off the stock exhaust & used 2 1/4” up beside the head on both sides then the big piece that can be seen on top with Vbands connecting it all together. Downpipe runs along the front of the motor down to the passenger side then cuts back between the motor mount & motor where the stock cats would sit then just goes to the back of the car. I’m not sure how much different the Camaro bay is, but if you are okay with a hood dump you can run your exhaust around the bottom side then Y up to like between the timing cover & Efans. I’m going to eventually switch the hotside up some to run under the car with a hood dump probably when I do the converter & have it all out to record it.

Does it have a CEL? if so run the codes there may be another issue.
If it’s a coupe try putting the key in the center console

@@slowLFX it's a 2011 CTS sedan 3.0 I think the ECU needs to be releaned alone with new key and fob, that's when it started after I lost both and went messing with steering column, you know screwdriver thing.
