One way of checking cam phasers for the HFV6 @2:31
An update on the noise found in my timing set from the previous video. I will be replacing all 4 phasers & oil pump. The phasers were original to the car before I built the engine. They did not show any signs of damage when rebuilt so I did not change them. It wasn’t until recently this issue arose. Cylinders & pistons look fine & undamaged. I believe the chipped pieces of wheel turned to dust as they were broken from the wire contacting it. A turbo guard will fix this, as it should have had a long time already.

Will be using a GM original oil pump. Still has good oil pressure, just out of paranoia I guess I will be changing it.
I will still be doing the HPFP plunger mod for the LF4 HPFP from auto tech before long, decided to just take it one step at a time to gauge the results independently as I have so far anyways with everything else. I still plan on having this done before the track closes for the fall/winter.
I will have video of results within the next few weeks so after testing/track visits.
