I bought 2 of them, I can't remember if it was Hubertus Solinger or what, but I do remember the ship's wheel on the blade back in 90 when I was stationed in Germany. One was lost and the other I took with me during Desert Storm. Brought it home and some years later my buddy broke the tip! I still have it around here somewhere. It has wooden scales and brass bolsters. I need to get it fixed but worry about current quality of blades.

Just wait till the spring breaks. On the new knives, made by Otter Messer the spring is not replaceable with a hammer and a punch. This old knife you have might be OK as you can get a replacement spring but, beware, the new knives look great, finish real good but you will have to send it back to Hubertus USA, Otter Messer Solingen for repair. Talking about Italian knives, some one said German knife are well made but Italian knives are a work of art.

Very good video! This knife is really one of best finish switchblades of the world and I like this size. It is because of the german weaponslaw since 1972 not in production. So it is very expensif, if you can find...

I used to have a similar Hubertus but was forced to sell it due to financial troubles. I would certainly like to find another at a reasonable price.

Actually Böker to be precise, often written as Boker though in english speaking countries.

It's too bad they quit making the German Springers with the shell pullers, my favorite lever lock of all time.

I am also very impressed from MIKOV leverlocks. After Hubertus make Mikov the second best leverlocks (I mean especially Mikov leverlock with utility blade, not with dagger blade!), the italian leverlocks have a nice finish, but they are not really strong knifes - just my opinion...

i need a good throwing knife that is also cheap. I would prefer a single blade folding knife. It also needs to be good for like cutting boxes and basic things like that. I won't need it for like hunting or anything like that.
Could you recommend a knife for me?
    thanks.
