I had the same thought... but what good would a helmet without a D-RIng strap be? Of course, that doesn't mean thieves won't destroy the thing they're stealing-but I bet most won't. Thoughts?
Agreed. In my country some desperate scumbag will try so hard to cut the strap off that will throw my bike to floor. That's my main concern. So it's better to show how the helmet it's secured rather than having a hidden mecanism
Thank you for an excellent video! Seeing your video’s 2 years old I apologize for being I’m a bit late to the table. Should be delivered tomorrow for my new Low Rider ST. Thanks again and ride safe!
Would this work on most bikes of different types being able to put on or is it only for Harley’s? Also if it’s only for Harleys what other locks would you recommend for other bikes?
By far the best helmet lock except for the having to use a perch mount spot. I have a cell phone perch on the left and helmet lock on the right and now I don't have a spot for the perch mount for drink holder.
I have these same bars on my bike and I got the extended stem mirrors from Harley to fix the issue of not being able to see what's coming up behind me. They are pretty reasonable in price.
I dug the video, only a few things I didn't like about it. First, you spent more than half of the video reviewing the helmet and it began to irritate me as I came for a review of the helmet lock. Second, soon after you locked the vid, it sounded like you were about to wrap it up, and I was getting agitated because I wanted to see how you would unlock the helmet, which you then later did, so it threw me off. Other than that, this lock is a good recommendation. Thanks for posting. Ride safe.
Hey man, love your channel. Got so many tips, how to's and much more. Thank you. Quick question can't find the video that you show your personalized stickers and who made them? Thank you
This, nor any helmet lock, is going to stop a determined crackhead. This is a short term thing to do when running to the store, or other quick errands.
Yes you can, that what that t shaped metal piece was with the round hole in the bottom, slide the bottom of the tee through two helmet D rings, then into the lock, push in the button
One flaw in the design only thing needed to get the helmet is a pair of pliers or a screw driver not much metal left on the bottom of the lock and in a dark parking lot or between cars at the store just grab the lock and pry down less then 30 seconds you lid is gone and your lock destroyed just a pice of advice of your helmet is not on your bike it can’t be stolen I like the concept but I never leave mine on the bike.
honestly with a strong flat head u prolly can just break that little tab thats locking it and itll slide right out. im from cali and they do a lot tricky things out here
That metal piece shaped like a T is used to slide through the D rings of two helmets, put the end with the hole into the helmet lock, push in the button
Question have the same bike just put on the same handle bars did you have to extend the clutch cable mine is tight and I’m running the same seat do you feel like your pushing on the bars we are about the same height I’m 5/9 And I put the same rake you put yours and what a bitch pulling the wires ha ha
It was my dirt bike number back in the day, I've been seeing a lot of performance bagger guys put their number on their bikes and I thought it looked cool..
Thx for sharing this. The options for locking the lid is slim. My 22 MT09SP has no mechanism for lids so here I am, searching, researching and thinking.... WHY THE P H U C DID YAMAHA REMOVE THIS!
I personally can’t stand full face helmets as they suck in hot 🥵 weather , they block my side vision , block my hearing , block the wind 💨 I can’t feel on the side of my cheek as other vehicles approach on the side of me on the highway. My theory is avoiding accidents to begin with rather than having equipment that blocks my senses .
This was almost a helmet review.
😆
Had to give a thumbs down for that
Thought the same 😅
6 minutes till the actual install, too many videos DO NOT get to the point.
Hay pony boy I was watching this for the helmet lock .. stay focused
Video starts at 6:30
This is what I needed. Got a minute in and went to the comments just to find this. Thanks mate!
Yeah, I was like… wtf, no one came here to look at or hear about your homo erotic helmet.
@@aman2742 Same
Normal padlock through a hole in a disc break and through the helmet rings.
Added benefit, no one is rolling your bike away.
Where do dogs like to piss
I like this idea.. I’d still be paranoid leaving my carbon racestar on there knowing they can just cut the D-Ring strap
I had the same thought. People here in Oklahoma are desperate and they will just cut off and take off with it, they don't care.
I had the same thought... but what good would a helmet without a D-RIng strap be? Of course, that doesn't mean thieves won't destroy the thing they're stealing-but I bet most won't. Thoughts?
Agreed. Also it just takes a scumbag to cut the strap for the hell of it. I use a thick cable lock through the visor hole and take the visors off.
I just had my shoei stolen so I’ve been looking into something new. They clipped the 1/4 inch cable securing it to the bike.

That helmet looks like the love child of Evel Knievel and Liberace.
I bought one. Love it. Super easy to install and use.
Does it work on indian chief bobber dark horse 2022?
Really like this, but my rurox doesn't have a d-ring... I don't think this will work 😭
I know you put lock tight on it but what stops them from just winding the whole assemble out spinning the helmet?
Would this work on most bikes of different types being able to put on or is it only for Harley’s? Also if it’s only for Harleys what other locks would you recommend for other bikes?
Actually I like the one symbol on the tank is it a sticker or emblem maybe where did you get it
FYI looks like it uses old type round keys that bicycle u locks used - they can be opened w the back end of a brick pen.
To be fair this seems better than other options that mostly seem barely worth the time.
What windscreen do you have on your Bike, I liked the look
Klockwerkz 6" Black
For those of us with a turbo boost gauge on that side, I'm guessing this works on the clutch side also?
Correct, it does..
Just got mine in and YOU helped me install it. Awesome!!👍🏼
What's stopping them from just cutting the strap?
I appreciate all the videos you post, I have the same bike and I like the upgrades you've done so far, Keep up the good work.
Thanks for your support!!
Simpson outlaw bandit for life
How about a link for that license plate frame my man!!!
By far the best helmet lock except for the having to use a perch mount spot. I have a cell phone perch on the left and helmet lock on the right and now I don't have a spot for the perch mount for drink holder.
So thieves won't cut the D ring strap?
So they steal a broken helmet?
thats awesome but unfortunately mines got quick release buckle, any options for that ? cheers
Ummm this IS a video about the locking mechanism right? Dude just spent half the vid talking about the helmet. I just wanted to see about the lock.
One more question can you see with the stock mirrors left side is ok but the right is blocked because of the bars being so close now any suggestions
I have these same bars on my bike and I got the extended stem mirrors from Harley to fix the issue of not being able to see what's coming up behind me. They are pretty reasonable in price.
Think this would fit on a Honda rebel?

Kuryakin has something like that but it's on a handlebars. Well lock mechanism just like this one failed to open and couldn't get the helmet free. NG
The Kuryakin one is junk compared to this one..
keep the allen in your tool bag, remove the allen key, unscrew the barrel with the key inserted and the pin comes out with it, Helmet is freed
Anyone know if this will work with the Ruroc Atlas 3.0 helmets??? They don't have the D-Ring.
What makes people not bring shears to cut the chin strap?
Helmet would then be useless..
This secure system rely on the d ring tho...that is kinda thin and easy to cut
Is this a helmet review??????

Brian at Choice Cycle.
choicecycle.co/
Great video. Just bought one
Where did you get the number#1 Harley tank emblems?
Brian @ Choice cycle. Hit him up on Instagram or visit his website, he can make you custom decals. Make sure you tell him I sent you! Thanks!
My Shoei neotec 2 don’t have any D rings….
Is this a helmet review or a helmet lock review ?
Both :)
Very pleased with mine!
Nice, where are you located in Michigan? I live in St. Clair Shores Larry is my name.
This, nor any helmet lock, is going to stop a determined crackhead. This is a short term thing to do when running to the store, or other quick errands.
How do u like ur bars. Just had them installed and love them
Love them!
Can you lock 2 helmets on the Same lock? One above one below? Thanks
No.
I’m sure you can if you put a cable to it for the second helmet and let it hang…
Yes you can, that what that t shaped metal piece was with the round hole in the bottom, slide the bottom of the tee through two helmet D rings, then into the lock, push in the button
"Most helmets..." hmm... nice video. Some helmets actually don't have D rings, so that gizmo is needed for sure. Good to know.

Just bought one and sent Lidlox and email giving you a shoutout for reviewing their product
Excellent instructions. Thank you.
Not the one handed video 😂📸😂
I save myself the hassle and just take my lid with me. Usually have a backpack for it. No stress
I purchased the helmet lock. Easy to use.
Great info, nice helmet & amazing helmet lock... we missed u where have u been since ur last Daytona post
I've been busy with work and haven't had time to pick up the camera and film.. More Harley content coming soon!
Look forward to see ur new videos
@@orlandofranco9910 Stay tuned for tomorrow's video! Thanks for your support!
Excellent advice my man!! That's always a concern of mine, coming back out and my lid being gone!
cant someone just cut the d ring though and just get a new one?
I have a Carbon Ghost bandit. I’m ordering this. The helmet looks pretty damn secure up there.
Just bought a chrome one
what do you do if you have 2 riders with 2 HELMET?
They sell a kit with 2 of them
That metal piece shaped like a T is used to slide through the D rings of two helmets, put the end with the hole into the helmet lock, push in the button
I have the mod bandit carbon fiber
Cool just bought one
You changed your grips?
Yes, I am running the arlen ness knurled grips now..
Thanks for the last part about the ratchet style
Beautiful helmet
Jesus Christ I just came here for the helmet lock review

What seat it that?
Lucky Daves
What if someone cuts of the strap with a scissor
Then the helmet is useless..
@@DOOWORKMOTORSPORTS u only need 1 d ring to add a quick release strap unless u can fit both d rings in
Purple locktite for aluminum threads...great other than that.
The wind 🤣🤣
What does the 22 mean?
It was my dirt bike number back in the day, I've been seeing a lot of performance bagger guys put their number on their bikes and I thought it looked cool..
@@DOOWORKMOTORSPORTS Thanks, I've been noticing that too. That's what got me wondering.
Helmet review? Lock review? Install?
Gorgeous helmet!
Why are you paying that much for a helmet and still using take forever to put on and take off d-rings and not a quick disconnect?
Looking for a helmet lock now, thanks for the info!
Wicked👍
SOLID IDEA!
Very cool! Love it. 👍🏾
hey thanks for your video dude, im gonna buy one.
Thx for sharing this. The options for locking the lid is slim. My 22 MT09SP has no mechanism for lids so here I am, searching, researching and thinking....
WHY THE P H U C DID YAMAHA REMOVE THIS!
What kind of helmet do you recommend for someone who has to have oxygen? I want to ride again but helmet is a question.
Half helmet
I personally can’t stand full face helmets as they suck in hot 🥵 weather , they block my side vision , block my hearing , block the wind 💨 I can’t feel on the side of my cheek as other vehicles approach on the side of me on the highway. My theory is avoiding accidents to begin with rather than having equipment that blocks my senses .
Your theory sound crazy to most riders but I’m right with you on that. Full face helmets are blinders to me.
I use a full face because if I hit face first I am protected. Kinda like my face. Lol
great idea but my brain bucket doesnt have d rings
Good idea, unfortunately not work in Brazil, the guys probably just cut that strap
very cool
wont have to lock that helmet up. 😂
Cool helmet.
never mind just saw the end of the video
I'll bet I could stick a screwdriver in with the d-ring and snap that lock right off.
Great idea but it won't work for a quick release.
Sorry went to the site so that's what the other piece is for.
Wen the the site now I see what the other piece is for
Helmet review or helmet lock review?
I'm in the wrong place I thought this was about a helmet lock
Took 7 minutes of a helmet review to find out this lock is for a D-ring helmet strap...😢 My helmet is not D-ring.
So anyone with an Allen wrench set from the dollar store can take your helmet in 60 seconds without damaging it…
Nice helmet
There was a glitch in the matrix 🤔
Knife 🔪 will get me that helmet. 😈🤷🏻♂️
Give me a pocket knife, and your helmet is done. No point safeguarding the helmet through straps.
Jesus Christ, bro, 7 minutes to get to the point of the video?
They’ll just cut the strap lol
Helmet review ffs
What was the reason ? lol JK
Cut the d ring and its gone
Then the helmet is useless..
Nope I cut off mines and put on a quick disconnect
Who cares, get on with the helmet lock
