I'm glad everyone is catching up to this. Obviously I have too much time on my hands and all my biomes have been decorated since November. In November I wrote the devs on the Gameloft website and complained to the 9th degree how this was going to kill their game. I have since worked around the limit but it's a real pain in the butt and kills your motivation to decorate. I now run at around 2900/3000 and 550/600. What I found was the water ways and ponds do have several items added by the designers that you can take out... lily pads, reeds, etc. There are a lot of greenery items also on the ground in the Glade and the Forest that you can barely see (small ferns ,etc) and these are unneeded IMO. Make sure, especially in the Glade that you search well. They are also up against rocks on the sides of biomes. As far as unique items... most of the trees have multiple versions and the different versions are unique, (if you click on a tree in build mode and keep putting that tree down you will see it randomly changes its version) so I picked out one of two of specific tree type and got rid of the rest. You have to get selective and creative about what really makes an impact and what doesn't. I used to have cute little plates of food around on tables, etc. Not that great of impact, that stuff had to go. If you used one unique item in one area, make sure you can get use of it in another area, etc. I'm playing on PC now and considered installing the mod to override the object limit but think I will wait it out and see if they fix it. Best Answer! After I saw a video about this situation I removed EVERYTHING I can and I was shocked how many of these tiny little things I found (lily pads...)!
Absolutely agree! I went through and deleted everything each biome came with and only picked a few items I really liked and used only those. It helped so much
Yeah I've cleared a lot of the unnecessary items from each biome, stones, ferns, little grass things, ect, gotten clear the water ways next. Im at 2700 and I've only completed plaza and meadow happily, Glade is about half way done and forest is about half way done same with beach. Sunlit I've just thrown characters i dont know what to do with yet or that their homes haven't inspired me enough yet lol.
Especially these "cute little plates" and objects with or without food add the "special touch" to my game! I'm definitely not removing mine. And I do love the pink sea roses as well.
Since the team is adding more biomes in the future, the item limit issue must be addressed. The game is now over half a year old and there's still day 1 issues that have yet to be addressed, like your gardening buddy interacting with you when gathering gold crops. Just change the button used for harvesting or talking. I hope they make the right moves but I'm not holding my breath right now. 🤷♂️ To edit: We need the option to toggle on/off trees dropping wood. It's ridiculous.
Honestly its the reason I'm not spending any more money then just the initial buying of the base game. They don't deserve my money with how poor the support has been. Back in 2022 I had to restart my game twice because of game breaking bugs and I knew that they wouldn't be fixed for another month at least (which I was right). I lost so many hours.
They should update the item limit and just add a disclaimer to the build tutorial saying "an increase in items may cause performance issues".
It's more like cross platform uses as if you had more then the limit on pc it would cause switch/Xbox problems.
Can you image if paths were counted, we'd be done for! 😅 I've only decorated 2 biomes and my limit is maxed.

I see no problem at all, like you said just take things out if you reach the limit. I been playing a while and am not even close to the limit. I just don't over decorate

Actually about the house limit... since you can add several levels in your house, I started decorating each room based on individual movie theme. At around level 5 or 6 with 3 rooms on each floor, I did reach an item limit that caused an error message to display that requested me to remove another object in order to place a new object. So there's that 😬

We should get 3000 item limit at least for every biome
I always clean up my biomes and collect and sell everything if it's not needed...
Edit: how do you have that many memory orbs on the ground?? 😮😮
Simply put, top counter is how many unique items you can have on the map, bottom number is how many items in total you have on the map....
This is why I clean up everything from each biome & store materials.
Wow! This was eye opening. I just do a little decorating around the village. Part of it is cause of the item limit, but mostly I'm afraid of running out of places for new villager's houses.

Now this is BS. Anything that the game spawns by itself should not count. And empty holes should not either.
Agreed but idk about the holes we plant in do the plants count to? or only the hole & the plant is free?

I found out yesterday that most of the Orb Pillars can be moved from one Biom to the other ! I hope this doesnt break any balance or get the old man merlin mad. LOL... What I did then is bring Merlins home to the forest and put all the pillars around his house on a stonehendge type arrangement. it looks cool!..... just FYI. ;)

I think landscaping items shouldn’t count towards your item limit. It should be furniture only. I ran into the hole problem when I was digging for materials. I was so upset I had to delete items to keep digging. I ended up deleting all the original trees and items placed by devs. Just so I can get materials. I really hope they fix it.

Wow, I didn't realize about the spawn items or crops taking limit. However, I'm still not going to decrease my pumpkins I instead before this vid had increased it to 600 so it's an even 1 million when I collect and though that sounds crazy and I really don't need all this gil I am still testing game since beginning to see if there is a limit of gil you can acquire so my goal is one billion and I'm not even close yet. I did know about trees and bushes so while I love the looks of others decore I limited my trees and bushes so other then sunlit plateau I only have 4 trees per biome which is all that is needed for maximum spawn of branches. I also limited bushes to mainly only really in meadow since I really don't want all these branches. Idk what your testing but I can tell you that stupid holes for shards still shows up on rugs making you have to move rug to dig or keep seeing hole mounds on rugs. Glad to know I can lay all the fence and path down I want though 🤔 so agree they need to do away with stupid item limits. The flowers are respawning way too fast. The max I can collect is about 250 which takes 1,5 h cleaning tour. I would be fine if the flowers are there only once a day or a toggle to turn the flowers down
And when you're over the limit, you can't place stuff inside anymore, neither items requested for quests... still no Casita in my first valley. I started a second in November and a third like 10 days ago. The limit stops my creativity in my dream? That's not fair
I started a list to have an overview of how much stuff respawns. It's bad...
Just for example
• Time:3.20pm
Items: 528/600 & 3157/3000
• Time:4.26pm
Items: 517/600 & 2887/3000
Crashed while sorting flowers after cleaning tour
• Time:4.46 after crash
Items: 520/600 & 2965/3000
It ruines my cleaning work of more than one hour in less than 20 minutes.... I hate that

I'm so OCD, I clear every biome everyday I play and feed every critter in each biome as I go. Its bad.
You can go over sort of. So if you collect everything and have no holes you can decorate use all 3000 objects. Then you can dig and plant the crops. And the items still spawn. So you will have over the limit and can't add more. But it really doesn't do anything to the way the game play as far as I noticed.

So my solution is a way to turn off certian stuff in the 600. I hate when stuff spaws in the worst spot. Id turn off spices and thorns if i could. Id also turn off the stone spots that spawn and the tree stumps. Also id be cool if you could lower sticks ammount either as a whole or per biome. I may also turn off the uce spots i dont rly use snowballs enough to matter.
This Limit will kill the Game.... 🙏🙏🙏 I Hope that they can see it! Please... We love this Game in Germany. 🥰 But its stressfull... You know what I mean? I have to pick up everyday, all these objekts in the ground of an biom!!! When I will put something in the biom.. it "frustriert mich" I dont know the word... Sorry. There shouldn't be an object limit... It's so stupid! But you can go over the limit I saw that with some TH-camrs. But still! It's annoying!

The over limit is cuz of the spawning stuff, you can push the 3000 but items will still spawn anyway.
I have gone past the object limit with my gardens. 400 plots per zone except the plaza. 2800 pumpkins if I want $.
Honestly wouldnt have thought flowers and spawnable items and the garden would count as a item count.

I don't know, if you have mentioned the blue and green chests in your vid. Before I've opened one up - they both count as 2 separate items - I first checked the 600 limit. If it goes down after opening, this was the only one around. If it stays the same, there is at least one more around. After hitting the item limits, you still can decorate with gems or the loved crystals from the forgotten land. Just don't pick them up, move them manually to the place you want to decorate at. I was able to push both limits down three times now - which needs a bit of planning - to keep on decorating. Now I've reached between 625 - 630 and 3230 - 3250, which is impossible for me by now, to get below the limits. This is a decorating game with tons of decoration items - I even have bought some of them like my castle for example which I can't even drop - and I never was more disappointed over a game ever before, like I am big time now that I've quit playing. If I had the money like I have in the game, I would get myself a star lawyer and sue them big time!!!

I didn't know that even the items in our house counted towards the item limit. OMG! Why have the availability to have so many floors only to have a limited on how much I can put in my house? I need them to fix this.
Exactly.. how are you supposed to gather enough resources if you can't store in your home without counting.. this is so disappointing.. creativity comes to a screeching halt and so does gathering.. frustrated with Nintendo switch!!!

When my item limit it mixed It won’t let me put down paths, fences or place items in the house. While these don’t contribute to the actual item limit, they do seem to cut off with the counter 😕 curious to see if this is just me or if everyone else has this problem? (I’m on Xbox)
No one - I'm on Switch - (maybe with mods) can't build any "new" ones. You can add to the existing ones though. If you want to place a new one from either both of them, just start from an excisting one and draw a line how far you're able and/or want to. Then you stop, remove the ones in between leaving one or two pieces at the end and continue until you reach the place where you want to build it. Once you hit both limits (either one or both) which only show up outdoors in furniture mode, you're not able to decorate indoors, anymore neither. So try to get rid off as many branches, flowers, aso. In addition to lower the 600 limit, you have to remove unique items.
I have over 1000 and I haven't even started to decorate🙄

THAT is ALL completely mental and needs to be changed. This is why I've done hardly nothing at all to my island. No decorating and I've left it plain for that reason because of the counter.
The item limit includes the itens inside the house and outside . I reach the item limit and I can’t place itens inside my house!

Yup! I have been deleting itens outside the house, to be able to decorate inside!
It's a bit different - objects inside the house don't count themselves, but you can't place new ones if the item count outside is already exceeded. The same goes for placing new paths and fences (not extending the ones you already have).
hmmm not true I tried it & placed 4 scionces & 1 painting in my house & my count did not change, but maybe there is some limit in the house we are not aware of.
I wonder if they will increase item limits as they add biomes.
I would think t hey have to, I liked the biomes mostly as they are so I haven't done much decorating like some & I'm already past the halfway point, so if they add more I'm going to slam that limit.

@@johnnyhickman3083 I would assume they would eventually. They have so many realms we haven’t unlocked yet and their home situation could vary. Like scar will have his house separate from Nala and Simba but all but Elsa is in one house kinda thing. So we could have so many houses we need new places to unlock
@@lindseycolvin7434 Of all the possibilities, what kind of biome would you want to see? For me, it’s definitely a jungle biome for characters from Jungle Book and Tarzan.

Every time you dig a hole, it's +1 item count. Gotta fill in the holes, which takes forever after a mass harvest.
Just a little tip, you can go into furniture mode and place an object over your holes, which will fill them all in!
Or just wait 24 hours, they will be gone!
I thought the item limit only counts the items you place like Furniture and all but after knowing about it it just feels stupid. Now i understand why you have to do much
if they could just add a zero to the end of the number it would be GREAT
I agree it should be expanded but legit half of your item limit is just garbage you threw on the ground and you exploiting farming. If you made a small garden and cleaned up all the trash, you probably still have 2000 items you could place.
It would take a lot of work to pick up everything with how he plays. He can't experiment with a small farm(I don't know how making a big farm is exploiting) and can't experiment quickly with orbs if they get picked up as soon as they drop. That would be a long note-taking process. If I played like how he did, I would only pick up something if I decorated the place. Everyone has different play styles. You can only expect some players to be tidy or care about it.
@@sakeena9364 Everyone is free to play how they want, but it is also his choice to decorate the map by throwing random stuff all over the place and having a large field. Some people want to decorate with furniture, but he wants to decorate with pumpkins and orbs. That is his choice.

They want you to spend real money purchasing decorations and then stick a limit on the game for how many items you can place, total rip off, Badly made game and not worth spending real money on.
It will most likely go when the game goes free to play.
