My new wife and I just took our honeymoon in Montreal two weeks ago, and I’m now obsessed with the city. We did Mont Royal, Old Montreal, Notre Dame Basilica and stopped for a pastry and coffee at Tommy’s Cafe. Although its chain, we also ate breakfast three times at L’Ouefrier de la Montagne partly because of the food but mostly because the staff were wonderful to us, making our visit incredibly memorable. I can’t encourage people enough to visit Montreal - and if you’re brave, study a little French before you go! I took two years of it, not good enough to be conversant but enough to take a stab here and there AND to appreciate how romantically beautiful both Montreal and Quebec are!! Je me souviens!!
Is it true that almost everyone in Montreal speaks French instead of English? Because I'm seeing a lot of English comments saying that they're from Montreal.
I think it’s really nice that they take the time to talk about some historical and random facts! They know what they are talking about and that makes the video even better :) thank you for this amazing portrait of my city xx
You posted this less than 2 weeks ago and I'm so glad I found it so quickly. You're all so sweet - thanks very much for putting this up. I'm originally from Montreal but haven't been back in quite some time so this is much appreciated. If you find the time, yes please post more of Montreal. It's people like you that make the city beautiful.
Born and raised right here in Montreal, I love Montreal, I enjoyed this video and the hosts, well done guys! You showed off SOME of Montreal best places.

@@mostoftenseenanalyzing I thought that French was the official native language in Montreal. Which is why it confused me that this girl had no accent at all.
When visiting Montreal you should really explore the Plateau/Mile End/Mile Ex. So many restaurants, cafes and shops! There's always something going on in the summer. Old Montreal is also really cool to explore especially in the winter time because you can skate. Summer is fun for Osheaga and Murale festival. During the winter there is Igloofest and usually vendors who sell maple syrup over ice that makes a sort of candy. Fall is the best time to see the leaves change colours and its a lil cheaper then summer usually but make sure you bring a coat and sweaters. DON'T come in spring lol all the snow melts and its the worst weather and slush piles and puddles 3 feet deep everywhere. My favourite places in Montreal (mostly downtown/plateau) are Lola Rosa (restaurant), Pikolo (coffee), Humble Lion (coffee), Cresent Street patios (Thursdays or Winnies for happy hour), Mad Hatters (pub), Suwu (brunch), Santropol (cafe), Jeanne Mance (park), MBAM (art museum), McCord Museum (art), Tommy's (coffee), LUV (restaurant), Tattoo Lounge (tattoos) and Eva Bees (clothing store and cafe).
I’m glad this video came up in my recommendations as I’m planning a trip this summer. I’m literally tagging all the places you have visited food wise to not miss out

Calgary is a beautiful place I lived in alberta for over 10 years. But I like montreal more then alberta I dont know why it's just different here...I love how alive this city is ..
Good video. Just keep waving those bagels in my face. Not clear if these three people all live in Montreal or how many are visitors. It's sweet how you are so kind to volcanoes and foxes. Some small points: 1) Cartier was the first but he didn't stay bcz most of his party died from exposure to the elements. He returned to France in 1535 and no Frenchman returned for another 70 years with Champlain. 2. St-Viateur has very good bagels but the best are Fairmount. 3. St.Helen's Island was *enlarged* by the subway output of excavated earth, however, Notre-Dame Island next to it was created.
Ile-Sainte-Helene was greatly enlarged and consolidated with several nearby islands, using earth excavated during the construction of the Montreal metro. The nearby island, Notre Dame Island, was built from scratch.

I'm pretty sure the fox footage was from the parc Jean Drapeau. I work there and I know the place.
Have you ever been to OMG Burger? I visited Montreal a couple of weeks ago right on the weekend of your wedding (congratulations!!) and it was so cool to see the culture especially since I’m from Toronto, I wish this video came out before I went there though
I’m from Northern Ontario and went to Montreal for the first time this summer for Osheaga, I’m so sad I didn’t see more of the city because it’s so beautiful!
I am born and raised in Montreal and I actually learned a lot from this video...lol
Great video portraying our beautiful city
Lived in Montreal my whole life and this was still helpful ! Thank you so much Alex 😘
Omg foxes are my favorite animals ever 😍🦊❤️
Where did you get your jacket!? LOVE IT!
Soooo Nice ,been waiting for that video a long time 😍 do you speak french btw?
I absolutely love Montreal, it's so beautiful and so much fun. I'd love to live there. 💜
OMG! I am planning a trip to Montreal in January and immediately thought of you!! I was going to ask for a travel guide and you literally read my mind lol! Love the video❤️❤️
Would you recommend visiting for New Years eve? Im worried its too cold to explore the city. Xo
I go to Montréal all the time but this was still informative for me. I need to go to those cafés! 😍
Omg do you have any ideas for places to go on an elopement or romantic trip to Montreal?
Loved all your suggestions 💜 yay for amazing food!
Home lovely home!! Btw Tim is enjoying every piece of food he has!!
Poutine is the best meal ❤️ Quebec represent 🙆🏻♀️
This video does not do Montreal justice. There is so much more to offer! 😍 you should’ve shown the Atwater and jean talon market. Even little Italy has some great shops. I live in the old port and I feel like there’s not much to do after an hour of walk around. Also, am I the only Montrealer who cannot stand banquise? 😭
