Spot on. I understand moving a guy on when he's past the peak of his powers, but Boomer was a freak. He was still easily in North's best 22 when they moved him on. Carlton fan, by the way.

I feel Michael Tucks number of games played is the bigger achievement...... less games per season , less knowledge of sports science / health etc .... Tuck was also on the tools as a plumber weekdays.

He retired too early at just 31, should have played 300 games and should have kicked a thousand goals. Also probably should have won a few more Coleman medals considering his huge talent. He stumbled at the finish line. A great player left with unsatisfying stats.
