Yeah I noticed that too. It's the Mud trooper helmets from the Han solo movie, but also the Imperial Army trooper helmets from Andor. They could theoretically be AT ST pilot helmets. I don't know if this was to show meaning for anything or if it was just a way to save money for costuming, or both
Realistically it’s them reusing costume assets, they probably just go into the warehouse and pick bits and pieces to make new characters. But also it works for worldbuilding
Thats because they were using imperial helmets. This episode explained why At Attin was hidden and when. At Acchran was controlled by the empire. 2 major evidence of this: troik using tank trooper helmets and the satelites used to carry out operation cinder. Operation cinder was explained in Iden Versio chapter 2 story arch in the single player of star wars battlefront 2 which is canon by the way and also Bill Burr's character explains the horror of operation cinder after he survived in the same episode in the Mandalorian. The horrors he witnessed and face led him to put the empire behind him and also led him to kill the commander in the base him and mando infiltrated. So just to confirm your answer, yes that was imperial armor, you definitely are correct.
@@Colombiarican31 the old satellites have nothing to do with Project Cinder. Those are what kept the planet hidden. In the timeline Project Cinder would have only been less than 5 years prior. Not enough time for things like giant trees growing in the middle of old houses. Plus Cinder literally torched the planets meaning nothing could regrow. The reason you are seeing imperial gear is because the tribes trade with offworlders. The other planets like At Attin are all Old Republic worlds, and as stated last week, all of them besides At Attin were destroyed.

This episode explained why At Attin was hidden and when it was hidden. At Acchran was destroyed by Operation Cinder. At Acchran was a empired controlled world. The shot of them flying to At Acchran shows the satelites used for Operation Cinder. Also the troik clan used tank trooper helmets. Even the chiefs daughter was using the helmet that Bill Burr and Mando used during the episode they infiltrated the Imperial base. Also keep in mind, Bill Burr does talk about surviving operation cinder and the destruction afterwards which made him kill the commander and also destroy the base at the end. He lived thru the horros that troik clan went thru when the empire carried out operation cinder. The storyline of operation cinder was thoroughly explained in the single player of star wars battlefront 2 chapter 2. Iden Versio which is who you play, her father was the last remaining grand admiral at the end of the war. The emperor ordered him to carry out operation cinder in the event he died. This was to promote fear to the empire controlled planets to keep them in line. This all happened shortly before the last major battle of the war which took place in the skies of Jakku. Jakku being the planet we find Rey in during Force Awakens at the beginning of the movie. This episode explained far more than what alot of people have even noticed.
At Attin was hidden from the emperor, and who ever piloted the ship that was found by the kids intentional hid the planet from the emperor. SM-33 was ordered to keep it hidden. Now we just need to know why this planet needed to be hidden from Palpatine
Are they the Operation Cinder satellites or deactivated satellites that used to hide the planet like on At Attin? I like the Operation Cinder theory but I am not fully convinced. All the Imperial Technology on this Old Republic planet certainly supports it though.
@@isaackim7675 I wonder if their character arcs take them past wanting to return home - can they learn so much AND fit back into that society? Also possible the answer won't be the same for each.
Well based on the pirates reaction when Win & neel flashed those republic credits id assume the clans would have the same reaction the troik say they trade hides to off worlders for weapons (haddan probably do the same)so cash is probably rare on that world
Jod's no Jedi. He would've used the force when SM 33 threatened Neel instead of fumbling with a blaster and leaping across the room to press a button. Fishy stuff is going on here...
Not every force user can just ragdoll a good sized droid like that. It already looked like it took a bit of effort just to lift the keys alone so he’s not that experienced.
Some takeaways for me. The father says they don’t care about offworlders except to trade for munitions, which means others have come before. Jod said he used Republic credits to buy the herd, he never specified how many credits. I suspect he kept some for himself to be used later. SM-33’s directive remains the most pressing issue since his memory of the location is tied to his orders to kill anyone who asks.
also the fact that we now know where all those skeletons on the ship came from and why it was crashed. HE killed them all then probably crashed the ship all under that same order. so the question now is why did the captain go so far
I'm sitting here thinking that doesn't make any sense. And yet, how do we explain the ship being buried on At Attin? The immediate thought is that it was shot down, and this episode showed us a pretty big cannon, on a planet with identical architecture. Chekov's shotgun. The ship was upside down when they found it, right? The droid could have been instructed to repair the ship and hide it, so maybe it ended up burying the ship over multiplr years while waiting for the captain to come back. Suddenly, that reminds me of Noa from The Battle For Endor, waiting for his crewmate to come back with something they needed to repair the ship, but he wasn't coming back.
He did mention they told him the kids joined up with the other clan. Add in a remark about these animals you just stole from that clan and it's easy to make a plan to get the kids back by bringing the animals.
I would guess that they find credits here and there, when they scavenge the ruins, which they can then trade with. So they would be a known but very rare item.
Which makes sense, in Ep2 one of the pirates where the kids got Republic credits in such good condition, meaning whatever credits out in circulation in the wider galaxy as worn out as the planets they were found on.
Looks like they’re just going to go to each planet one by one based on the coordinates to see if that world has the coordinates but it’ll be missing or unreachable for some random reason and then it will end with him discovering that the treasure was never the gold but it was the kids being one big happy family
Given the condition on At Achrann, I interpreted the line as them trading the hides to _offworlders_ for munitions. Whatever happened to devastate At Achrann, happened at least as far back as the point when At Attin was sealed off from the rest of the galaxy, so it is unlikely that whatever munition stockpiles it had planet-side have lasted this long. So they do probably have some level of commerce going on with the wider galaxy. Credits would serve them for that.

At this point lets assume this will take a treasure island turn. Jod escaped his pirate crew as more of a show, then an actual escape. he befriends the kids in order to find the planet At Attin while his old crew followers in the background. in this episode, his crew finds him, surrounded by troik clan, they take them out and afterwards want to end Jod as they see the children are gone feel he has again for the last time failed them, Jod convinces them to let him continue by handing over some of the republic credits. and stating that he would go and find the children. now the only question would be how would he know the value of the herd? possibly SM 33 had some insight on this.
They do trade with worlders for weapons. They may know the credits are valuable and taken them so the next time they traded they can get better equipment
The tank that we see with the adult clan also looked like a modified separatist battle tank, whatever that means. But this is the second time we’ve cut away from Jod being surrounded by a big gang that seemingly wanted to kill him, only to find him unscathed later. I definitely think this is hiding something important about how he gets out of those situations.
