I have always loved the Castlevania games, but they’re so hard that I can’t stand to play them without using save states to make it easier. I typically play the classic games on the Castlevania Anniversary Collection, and although Castlevania Bloodlines is the superior game in many ways, I find myself returning to Castlevania III much more often. yeah just look at Sword Master! It's pretty impressive looking really. Much like Batman Return Of The Joker, looks like early 16 bit. I was lucky enough to have Sword Master back in the day but it was rare.
The music in the Genesis version of Captain America was actually composed by Hitoshi Sakimoto, the composer of Radiant Silvergun and the Final Fantasy Tactics series along with FF12.
@@st1kaI wouldn't compare the Avengers NES game over the Genesis Arcade port. They are two completely different games. Otherwise, i agree with your video.
Ah... Batman: Return of the Joker. I remember being shocked the first time I saw the game. And wondering why more NES games weren't like it. Great video. Wasn't expecting to see "Castlevania" on the list. :D
@@st1ka I thought it briefly, and perversely, but dismissed it, since I remembered that Simon's Quest brought way more "consult a FAQ" suffering than anyone just wanting the ultimate form of their favorite Tiger LCD handheld should ever have to experience. And Castlevania III's later stages are "balanced for the rental market", which translates to "cheap and unfair, even by NES standards".
@@st1ka Haven't seen unfairly difficult until you try the new game plus after beating Castlevania 3. They replaced the medusa heads with something worse, skulls. How is that worse? They don't do a wave pattern but a heartbeat-like pattern. They are much worse and I gave up trying to go any further when I got stuck on stage that had nothing but rotating floors and those skulls.
Great topic. Other games where the NES destroys the Megadrive/Genesis. 1. The Little Mermaid. 2. Tailspin. 3. Ninja Gaiden. (I know this one isn't finished, but other than the pixel art, it wasn't going to win anyways.) 4. Double Dragon 2. There were others, but they seemed debatable. I wanted to stick to games with a clear win.
I will have to disagree with your Castlevania comparison. Sure, Castlevania 3 had more levels & characters but in terms of control, presentation, & how the games played I can't say Castlevania 3 is better than IV & Bloodlines. Revenge of the Joker & Double Dragon (geez I can't believe how well the graphics have held up) were amazing on the NES & look like they still are. Castlevania 3 is amazing as well but comparing it to its amazing 16bit counterparts is like comparing Leonardo, Donatello, Michaelangelo, & Raphael. All masterpieces in their own right.
The controls of Castlevania 3 are perfectly fine. The thing is that NES CV arcadey games are mostly about memorizing enemy spawn and placement. Anyone complaining about the controls missed the point of how to play CV3. I beat Castlevania 3 with every single character on the original NES when I was 13 years old. I repeat, I beat the game on the original hardware with every character with only Trevor Belmont too. And I didn't do that on an emulator that uses game saves at every step of the way as "gamers" do these days. I remember playing Castlevania Bloodlines as well and not feeling the game at all. It's not a bad game but it doesn't come close to the awesomeness of CV3. I suspect Bloodline fans are mostly European gamers because the NES never was big over there. They were too busy playing (and making) Spectrum or Commodore games.
Castlevania 4 was cool but Castlevania 3 had many awesome features that make it a better game for me. Also the 8 directional whip was convenient and fun but they made the sub weapons kinda redundant.
I absolutely love the NES. It's my favorite console by far. With that said, you're crazy if you think Capt America and the Avengers is better on the NES over the Genesis. You neglected to mention a huge part of the NES version which is trying to rescue Cap or Hawkeye if they get captured. You have to backtrack and replay every single stage on the way to rescue the fallen comrade. Solid list besides that! Thank you for the content.
Personally, I think the Master System version of Double Dragon is slightly better than the NES version. Which NES version of Tetris are you referring to? The one made by Nintendo or the one made by Tengen?
That version of Batman from the Revenge of the Joker is actually taken from the 70s comic book lineup. It's also in Arkham City as one of the bonus skins
How about Battletoads? The NES just dominates the sound effects. And when you're exaggerating punches like that, the sound needs beef. Plus the Genesis slowed some sections way down, like the turbo tunnel and the snakes. It feels so strange.
I feel it's honestly a toss up between the NES and the Sega Genesis / Mega Drive port of Battletoads. The sega version is disappointing, no doubt, but it's not bad... just underwhelming imo.
The Genesis slowed those sections down because it was based on the Japanese Famicom version, which intentionally slowed them down to make the game a bit easier.
Very interesting picks, and a very entertaining video. 💪🏻 I agree that the Castlevania pick was controversial, but you did back it up with solid arguments, and stated that Super Castlevania 4 was not as good as Castlevania 3, so I can get behind that line of reasoning.
The underdog in those days was Turbographics/Turboduo. Sega and Nintendo were going head to head in the 90's. They home systems outlasted other companies' like NEC, Amiga, Atari, Panasonic, etc.
@@81carlos Disagree... Sega had to claw and scrap for every bit of market share they gained and fight tooth and nail to try and retain it. Nintendo was absolute behemoth in the NES/SNES days. I'm comparing them to Apple and Microsoft and you're trying to compare Wang computers to Microsoft.
@@segaforce79 Double Dragon was one of my favourite Master System games at the time, it was definately better with 2 players though. The only thing I didn't like about the game was the flickery sprites but that was an issue that many MS games had.
as a composer, i must say, i understand that you do not like the compositions for the mega drive games stated here :) it is actually pretty difficult to tinker with the FM Soundchip of the Sega Mega Drive / Genesis. The fact that the music is inferior is only because the devs didn't know how to properly use the FM soundchip, while on the NES you have preset 8-bit instruments (all is to my understanding at least, might have made an error or two, be sure to look up my claims) thanks for this list :) i enjoyed it a lot! EDIT: of course an easier interface does not mean the devs make great music automatically!!! you need a good understanding of music too :)
Indeed. I love the Sega Genesis sound chip combination (Yamaha+PSG) but it does require a degree of familiarity with the hardware that not many devs had
One thing the NES version of Double Dragon lacked was a 2-player option, something both the Mega Drive, as well as even the Master System version did have.
Return of the Joker isn't hard, it just has really bad enemy placement in certain spots. I remember beating the game on my first try in less than an hour.
@@st1ka It's easier if you just have a turbopad and for bosses use that power up that lets you charge up your shot. Then you just shoot a wall or ledge, which causes the non-charged shot to split into two, and bosses will melt. Sadly, this does not work on the Genesis version of the game. Yet another plus to the NES version.
Tetris on the NES might be more fun but we all know it's not the Nintendo released version we're talking about here. Tengen version of Tetris for the NES is the true king, even had two player support.
I also really like Bulletproof Software's Famicom release. It doesn't have 2 player support, but it does have different music that I personally prefer, and I believe it was also the first version to introduce the "hard drop." Also, as a sidenote, I just really love the fact that they called themselves "Bulletproof Software"
05:51 Vietnam memories. I was expecting a good arcade port on the SNES, but when it came out my nuts fell on the floor. The best Avengers game in arcades ever, and yes, over capcom's fighting games series.
I was with you til you got to castlevania.. Not even the fact that you said 3 was better than bloodlines but then insinuated that 3 was better than Rondo. Great videos as always. Keep up the great work.
4:00 Me: "WTF, are they only using the PSG?" You: "They only used one sound chip." That's just sad. Especially considering how amazing Sunsoft's NES music was, especially on their Batman games. As a publisher, they really went downhill in the 16-bit era, unfortunately. Also, all that negative space in the NES version is probably a byproduct of all their trickery with the BG layers. But hey, it works!
Castlevania III is the high point of the series for me, and I love all the pure action-platforming releases, apart from the real trash outliers like Haunted Castle a couple of the Game Boy ones. In terms of scope, challenge, and the number of ways you can approach it, it's just endlessly replayable for me.
I also agree. C3 holds the edge over both IV & Bloodlines as the Best of the entire series. I'll disagree with Will on the GB titles though. I thought all 3 on the GB were good, especially Adventure which seems to be punished for difficulty. All 3 GBA titles are very good to great. The 2 N64 titles are the worst in the series for me.
I agree that with a few tweaks it could have looked good. But for the most part I feel that it looked kinda bland? I do wish they had at least improved the soundtrack, because some of the songs... oof.
Double Dragon and Cap were arcade ports; the intent was to be as close to the arcade as possible. The nes versions of those games are virtually different games under the same name. As for Castlevania Bloodlines and C3 are different games-- not versions (and both are A+ titles).
@@st1ka Same for me and I still found it quite fun and the NES DD too different and somewhat limited despite much more fluid controls. Also, its music was often annoying vs absence of any music.
Man you missed out! Double Dragon was one of the arcades that always had a crowd! I believe it was the first 2 player arcade beat em up. The Nintendo version had to be different to stand out. The arcade version doesn't have the vs mode or the stages the NES version has. Same goes for Double Dragon 2.
Mega Drive: Actual official Sonic games. NES: Dozens of bootleg Sonic themed ROMHacks that Chinese and Russian hackers assure me in broken English are genuine Sega games. Even the ones that are hacks of Mario games. Were there any terrible Mario to Sonic ROMHacks officially released on the Mega Drive? I think not!
I'm trying to find enough games to make a video where the master system version is better than the Super nintendo game. But so far I only have two games
I think you were spot on with most of these comparisons until you got to Castlevania. Bloodlines, CV3 and SCIV are all really different from each other so it's a big stretch to compare them because they're not even close to the same games. I will say I prefer the Captain America/Avengers game on Genesis over the NES one. Great job on this vid!
To be fair the NES got its ass kicked by the weaker Atari 2600 ports on a few occasions. For example Pitfall 2 The Lost Caverns on Atari is MUCH BETTER than Super Pitfall (the same game) on the NES. Winter Olympics also better on the weaker Atari over its NES counter port. It happens sometimes 🤯
Oh completely agreed. I want to a series where the Weaker systems surpassed the stronger systems. So I hope to make some examples where the NES loses or the SNES loses
So 1st: I LOVE the videos - been watching you since the first collab you had with Top Hat Gaming Man. My 12 year old son really loved the video you made on Chinese Megaman - he speaks to me about that video to this day ;) As for myself I remember fondly the 8-bits era of Sunsoft - to me it meant a Sunsoft logo on games in those days more than any seal of quality from Nintendo. A bit like most releases from Konami or Capcom that era and beyond.
Yeah, sunsoft was amazing during the 8-bit era, but it seems that during the 16-bit era they became more of a publisher instead of a developer and their quality dipped significantely imo :\
@@st1ka Oh yes I agree completely, thats why I'm holding their 8 bit era releases (gameboy included) in such high regards - the following generation went down the drain - sadly. To me it was like - ok now on the 16bit consoles some company I cannot trust what I could in the past generation. By the way do you have any memories about C64 in Portugal ? I 1st played Double Dragon II on a C64 [floppy] at home. I have fond memories of the system, we used to share games so much on it and later on PC as on consoles it was not really possible to copy games in those days.
The ZX Spectrum ruled in Portugal, so it was very rare to see a Commodore 64 out in the wild. I don't think I've ever met anyone who actually owned one back in the day.
Castlevania probably just comes down to preference really, you can make a good argument either way. I agree with the rest besides Double Dragon. Yeah the music is pretty ass but it's otherwise a good arcade conversion. Also prefer the master system version to the NES. That said why play double dragon on nes or genesis when streets of rage 2 is a thing?
I have to say I could never get into the master system version of Double Dragon. The way the enemies don't get stun locked when hit always throws me off :/
Abrs!
I'm going to disagree on Bloodlines; it certainly isn't as good as the GOAT Castlevania, but it remails a solid action platformer in its own right. I'll also note the Genesis version of Double Dragon was somewhat hobbled by replicating the Arcade game...which wasn't good (lets be honest: the arcade Double Dragons were actually *bad*). The NES version went its own direction, to the benefit of the final product. By contrast, the Genesis port was faithful to the Arcade, and thus worse.
Better late then never! I likey this nes theme opening stuffs you got going from last and this episode! It's hallarious to me that most issues seem to be sound and music. I kinda have a soft spot for that sega soundbank, hell even sonic spinballs options menu I have a soft spot for (I swear it sounds better on a CRT and genesis) Sonic really nailed classic music on the genesis imo. Many other greats but the sonic music feels timeless imo. Great stuff like always! Thanks for the video st1ka ^^
Late comment but part of the reason why a lot of the earlier genesis titles sound like that is because of the dev tools they were using, specifically GEMS (genesis editor music and sound). IIRC the software has a list of default sounds to choose from and many devs stuck to making due with those sounds as changing them was rather complicated. I saw a video about it but I can't remember what it was called.
Boy, you said it friend. Just the other day at the discotheque party after one too many alcohol beers I was saying to my buddy friend Tomik that some games were better in Nintendo form than in mega drive. And he was not believing me. I will show him this video so he knows that true what I was saying

Awesome video, I really enjoy your content, the Castlevania video is my favourite so far, it was my first favourite game ever aswell as DOOM, growing up here in South Africa we only had the Famicom, I had no idea the NES existed until years later, a friend of mine had a Sega Genesis and I only played a few games at the time, Golden Axe, Streets Of Rage and Ex Mutants, I still enjoyed my Famicom more, Castlevania was the first game I was so proud of myself for beating, when I got Simons Quest I loved it but alas couldn't finish it because of the translation thing and back then I had no access to walkthroughs, for a very long time I had no idea Dracula's Curse or Bloodlines existed, when I found out about emulation I was so excited to play them, Dracula's Curse is my favourite Castlevania, when PS1 came out and I got Symphony Of The Night, man I was obsessed with it, I count Symphony Of The Night as my favourite aswell, I can't pick between Dracula's Curse and SOTN so I pick both, you should make a video about your gaming journey, I think it would be interesting n_n
FM synthesis is an acquired taste for most people. I for one love Mega Drive metallic sounds and that Blaster Master track is an absolute banger. The Mega Drive sound chip is a classic, its a shame that many developers didn't know how to use it.
Most Platformers on the Genesis aren't all that great, but one where the controls are truly perfect that deserves mention is Blades of Vengeance. You can play three different characters, and the Wizard plays differently, but the controls are still perfect.
I mean yeah Tetris on the Mega Drive isn't amazing, but it's the one I grew up with so I kinda prefer it. Also I'm not a fan of the NES music and prefer the Famicom one. You know, the one that doesn't have a track that sounds like it's for cowboys
I have to completely disagree in using the Castlevania games in a comparison in this way. They're not even different versions of the same game, they're entirely different games with different characters in different parts of the entire Castlevania story. There is no NES version of Castlevania: Bloodines. Comparing them like this is like "Which version of this game should I always play and which version should I always ignore; Super Mario Bros. 3 (NES) or Super Mario World (SNES)?
I understand your argument, but in that same regard, Blaster Master 2 is not the same game as Blaster Master 1 and it still feels fair to compare them :)
@@st1ka Yes, but you don't compare two versions of the same game in the way you would compare two entries in a series. For two different versions of the same game, you compare the differences of two different versions of the same thing. Generally the same story, same designs, same sounds, same enemies, same game mechanics, etc. (With most differences being rooted in hardware limitations and/or inept programmers.) For two entries in the same series, you look for what's completely new compared to the old. New story, new designs, new sounds, new enemies, new game mechanics, etc. What you did here, was basically use the same vector to judge on what should have been two different methods. What I mean is you should have split the video into either 2 different chapters or 2 different videos. "NES games that are better that the Genesis version" and "NES games that are better than their Genesis Sequals".
I personally enjoyed captain America and the avengers on the Sega Genesis more because of it's living interactive comic book look & feel that draws me into that comic book world. There's plenty of on screen enemies of different types to battle with plenty of different attack behaviors for each enemy type that keeps the flow of the action from becoming stale that kept me immersed in the action from start to finish. The game has some nice parallax scrolling effects in certain levels with plenty of nice & diverse sprite and animations happening simultaneously with everything else going on at once that makes everything look and feel busy in the environments of levels. The game gives 4 different avengers to choose from with each avenger offering up enough diversity on abilities to distinct each avenger which adds some variety to cater to different play styles to suit the player best. Also there's the option of a two player game for some couch co-op fun with a friend. The in game music has some pretty decent tunes that keeps the flow of the action going and sound effects and voice samples are still pretty passable imo and don't ruin the experience but just add to the overall fun and living interactive comic book look and feel it's going with.
I appreciate hearing a Megadrive fan who calls out how the music can sound in a lot of games, lol. Have to say Blaster Master looks pretty great, especially the outside area. This may sound a bit like hyperbole, but I feel like it's almost arguable that Nintendo's biggest innovation with the SNES, the thing about it that had and still does have the most enduring impact on the industry (besides Nintendo's games themselves), is the sound chip it used, which was so above and beyond anything else at the time, and almost had no ceiling to the quality possible with it depending on how much effort the composer was willing to put into programming custom instrument samples (I don't know exactly how it worked, just that that's something a lot of composers talk about in interviews. Like, Actraiser was apparently very influential to a lot of Japanese SNES composers, because it showed the power of that custom Yamaha chip very early in the system's life. If you wanted anything that sounded remotely as good as the SNES on PC, you were paying more money for just the sound card than a SNES cost itself back then... and other consoles simply didn't remotely compete until CDs became the standard medium... and even then, all that showed for many years was how much better SNES music still sounded than the vast majority of stuff composed "with no limits" for a CD using system, until all the great Japanese composers had eventually migrated to Sony projects. And the beauty of that music is honestly such a massive part of my nostalgia and positive feelings for the SNES and its games. I could listen to the soundtrack to Chrono Trigger or Final Fantasy 6 almost endlessly.... and nothing since has ever sounded quite like that Yamaha chip, with its insanely pleasant base reverb, and its open-ended, custom possibilities for composers leading to any tendency towards perfectionism having full outlets for that creative drive, as opposed to a predefined library of stock samples like was the standard for everything else back then.
Ironically, I will say I generally prefer Sega Genesis sound over SNES sound. I understand that the SNES sound chip is more advanced, but the Mega Drive sound chip sounds more... videogame-y I guess? Whereas the SNES music often approaches that odd border between pre CD audio? Still, it's just my preference and there are SNES soundtracks that are breath taking like Chrono Trigger or Final Fantasy 6. But on the other hand, I feel nothing on the SNES sounds as raw and powerful as Thunderforce 4, so it really depends.

Great topic. Other games where the NES destroys the Megadrive/Genesis.
1. The Little Mermaid.
2. Tailspin.
3. Ninja Gaiden. (I know this one isn't finished, but other than the pixel art, it wasn't going to win anyways.)
4. Double Dragon 2.
There were others, but they seemed debatable. I wanted to stick to games with a clear win.
Ooooh thank you! I appreciate it
For me Mega Man NES is better than Wily Wars on Genesis. The NES version is what I grew up with.
Don't forget Batman Returns!
@@adultmoshifan87 oh yeah Batman returns is a good one too
@@lambogenie5048 I will admit I have a soft spot for megaman Willy wars
Completely understandable worry not ^^
Yeah, bloodlines is a very different experience, but also a very good one.
You're the person on this platform that holds C3 higher than Super Castlevania 4, and I'm happy about that, because I totally agree
haha you got good taste :P

I will admit I forgot that, but with that said I really do love captain America for the new xD
The Genesis version of Captain America is better than the NES much like the ARCADE.
Missed opportunity for Batman's "I'm not wearing hockey pads!" 😉 Great video once again dude 👍
Omg! That would have been a genius clip
"Just Tetris" has the same kind of tone as "Oh, it's only Doom"
Haha, that's fair
Personally, I think the Master System version of Double Dragon is slightly better than the NES version.
Which NES version of Tetris are you referring to? The one made by Nintendo or the one made by Tengen?
It was the Nintendo version but honestly either version ^^
@@st1ka Never cared much about the Nintendo version (of Tetris).
understandable ^^
I preferred the SMS version of Double Dragon over the NES one as well.
dd1 for the master system beats the nes version to me because of the coop mode and it has more colors
That version of Batman from the Revenge of the Joker is actually taken from the 70s comic book lineup. It's also in Arkham City as one of the bonus skins
Ah makes sense ^^
NES avengers was such a blast! I'm glad you mentioned it ❤
Very interesting picks, and a very entertaining video. 💪🏻
I agree that the Castlevania pick was controversial, but you did back it up with solid arguments, and stated that Super Castlevania 4 was not as good as Castlevania 3, so I can get behind that line of reasoning.
I go back and forth a lot with Castlevania 4. Sometimes I really like it other times I feel it's one of the weaker entries in the classic line up xD
SEGA fans don't mind you picking the NES over the megadrive sometimes......just as long as you NEVER say any games were better on the SNES
Awesome video St1ka
Thanks man :D
I love Sega because of the sound chip they used in the first revision of the Genesis and also I always preferred rooting for the underdog.
understandable! ^^

Fun video! The blue and gray Batman from the Genesis version was pretty accurate though to his then current comic book look ;)
Oh whoops xD

I think the Master System version of Double Dragon surpasses the NES version
Sadly I could never get into the master system version. It feels like the enemies don't get stunned when hit
@@st1ka I enjoyed the co-op play of the SMS
@@segaforce79 ah yes the co-op play was a major advantage the Master system version had ^^

Is it bad I liked the Master system version of Renegade better? 😂
as a composer, i must say, i understand that you do not like the compositions for the mega drive games stated here :) it is actually pretty difficult to tinker with the FM Soundchip of the Sega Mega Drive / Genesis.
I love this intro you have man. Love the video and humour aswel! Keep it up mate!😎
aww thank you! I actually have several intro variations depending on the console being discussed
One thing the NES version of Double Dragon lacked was a 2-player option, something both the Mega Drive, as well as even the Master System version did have.
That's a good point, but I do feel the Gameplay on the master system and Mega Drive version left a little to be desired :/
Return of the Joker isn't hard, it just has really bad enemy placement in certain spots. I remember beating the game on my first try in less than an hour.
Wow that's super impressive! :O
Ah thank you, I didn't know about that Lifehack
Next time you run into bad dialog, You gotta use that clip from DBZ where Vegeta says "SAD FOR YOOOOOU"
Tetris on the NES might be more fun but we all know it's not the Nintendo released version we're talking about here. Tengen version of Tetris for the NES is the true king, even had two player support.
That's very true. It's criminal that the tengen version was recalled:(
I also really like Bulletproof Software's Famicom release. It doesn't have 2 player support, but it does have different music that I personally prefer, and I believe it was also the first version to introduce the "hard drop." Also, as a sidenote, I just really love the fact that they called themselves "Bulletproof Software"

I think I remember reading that sunsoft downsized their crew and so they started relying more on being a publisher instead of a developer:/
Same on Speccy. For the best graphics you need to have lots of black.
It's usually the best way to design for a system with limited colors: lean on negative space.
I prefer bloodlines at Castlevania 3
Understandable ^^
Castlevania III is the high point of the series for me, and I love all the pure action-platforming releases, apart from the real trash outliers like Haunted Castle a couple of the Game Boy ones. In terms of scope, challenge, and the number of ways you can approach it, it's just endlessly replayable for me.
Hehe agree, it's such a great game :D
I also agree. C3 holds the edge over both IV & Bloodlines as the Best of the entire series.
I'll disagree with Will on the GB titles though. I thought all 3 on the GB were good, especially Adventure which seems to be punished for difficulty.
All 3 GBA titles are very good to great. The 2 N64 titles are the worst in the series for me.
This was my favorite era of the console wars
for me it was the 8-bit, 16-bit and 32-bit era ^^
I actually think blaster master looked fairly decent. A few tweaks and it could’ve looked great but the gameplay itself was just not good!
I never saw double dragon in the arcade, my first exposure was the NES version. And it is a classic, even with its flaws.
My first exposure was Double Dragon for the MS-DOS and it was awful xD
@@st1ka Same for me and I still found it quite fun and the NES DD too different and somewhat limited despite much more fluid controls. Also, its music was often annoying vs absence of any music.
Very true!

My 12 year old son really loved the video you made on Chinese Megaman - he speaks to me about that video to this day ;)
As for myself I remember fondly the 8-bits era of Sunsoft - to me it meant a Sunsoft logo on games in those days more than any seal of quality from Nintendo.

So true!

I'm glad you enjoyed the video and yeah, understandable. I freaking LOVE Dracula's Curse.
FM synthesis is an acquired taste for most people. I for one love Mega Drive metallic sounds and that Blaster Master track is an absolute banger. The Mega Drive sound chip is a classic, its a shame that many developers didn't know how to use it.
FM synth is notoriously difficult to control. 😂
Most Platformers on the Genesis aren't all that great, but one where the controls are truly perfect that deserves mention is Blades of Vengeance. You can play three different characters, and the Wizard plays differently, but the controls are still perfect.
oh I LOVE Blades of Vengeance. I even own a physical copy complete in box
I mean yeah Tetris on the Mega Drive isn't amazing, but it's the one I grew up with so I kinda prefer it. Also I'm not a fan of the NES music and prefer the Famicom one. You know, the one that doesn't have a track that sounds like it's for cowboys
That's fair. I do feel the NES/Famicom versions are better, but I understand why you'd prefer the Mega drive version ^^
(With most differences being rooted in hardware limitations and/or inept programmers.)
For two entries in the same series, you look for what's completely new compared to the old.
I didn't know that in the GB version of Batman: Return of the Joker the wall bouncing feature was back, that's the version I want to play!
it's pretty good. I say check it out.

Disagree. Rondo is so much better than 3.
Agree to disagree ^^
