- Well this year has brought about big changes. I have decided to put down roots in my home and native land of Canada. I will still be traveling around in my van and filming lots more stuff for you guys. I had so much fun experiencing nature in the American Southwest this year that I decided to make a big change in my life and return to Canada after living in the USA for over 20 years. I will still continue to travel the world and make comedy and films along the way. But I wanted a place to hang my hat, close to my family, in a place where I felt comfortable. The Canadian wilderness has always been a big part of my life. I am so happy to make this my next chapter. Stay tuned gang. I love you all and thanks for the support now and over the years. - Tom

As someone who grew up watching Tom on cable TV in Ottawa as a kid, I never thought I would see the day when Tom's parents were proud of him.. and yet here we are :)
They were probably just as proud of him when he brought Monica Lewinski to town and treated her with class and dignity the whole way through.

This is my dream. To own a patch of woods, some pastures, a cozy farm house and just be on my own, away from it all. Happy for Tom and he seems genuinely overwhelmingly grateful. Good for him.
as a 25 yr fan…..it really is amazing to watch your parents observe your new place. very sweet people. they point out everything from butterfly’s, to cracks in the wood. lol

Love it Tom, they way you described the attachment to the flora and fauna of the place you grew up and the familiarity is priceless and something I couldn’t replicate when being away from home for years. My mom died in 2001. She was 56 when she passed Tom. I was a big fan but man she was your biggest fan Tom. You use to make her laugh until she could no longer breathe. I must Thank you for all the good times we had together watching you.
