I have two of these. They run at a crawl on DC. Lovely models. The bottom plate stops ingress of muck, but makes oiling a thing to be behold.

For your magnetic screwdriver, pop a small rare earth magnet near the tip, you have to adjust a little to make sure it don't move the screw, but you will have your magnetic screwdriver, i do all the time for fiddly little screws..

Simon, why don't you use a Peco loco servicing foam cradle? It would make life much easier for you when you service an N Gauge locomotive. 🙂

      Hi Simon.
Regarding the Peco servicing cradle, if you come across a double glazing van whose occupants are installing windows, just ask them for a small length of the polystyrene that is used to protect the edges of the windows while they are in transit. They will be only too happy to oblige thus saving you the expense that Peco charge for their product.
      Cheers,
      Paul. 👍

Enjoying your videos, thank you!! Had a question for you. Would you consider doing a video on remagnetizing older tender driven hornby locos, pls?

Hi Simon, Great video. You are brave!! Do you mind me asking what camera you use? It stayed more or less in focus at a very short distance from the loco. I could do with something of a similar quality? Thanks mate.

I've always just used my iPhone (13 mini at the moment). 👍
