Most irresistible food in this video is Medu Vada. My all time favorite & love at first bite when you dunked it in some spicy red coconut chutney. Mint chutney goes well too. I could only try to make some at home after learning from cooking channels, but it's never the same.

I agree with people saying they are unhygienic. I worked in a call centre in Sydney Australia which had lots of workers from India ( they are usually smarter than everyone else lol), these workers would sit at computers, or walk around the centre picking their noses, not giving a toss who saw them, if thats acceptable for them to do in another country, ( they wouldnt even use a disinfectant wipe after doing it at a computer and we didn't have assigned seats) imagine what they do in their own country? Shittting on or beside train tracks is another thing, no where to wash hands there.

As an American i understand the the comments about the uncleanliness about the operation...but these cooks are just super talented at what they are doing. The food looks phenomenal and just not available in our country. I respect these food propreiters. They are hard working and that veggie sammich looks just awesome. Super impressed by how these delicate dishes are prepared by the ingenious Indian Chefs. Just because these foods are not up to our stringent standard of hygiene should not render them the subject of mockery for people to mock at. But to be honest I think if Indians can finally pay extra attention to the environment they prepare food, pretty sure the dishes on their table will one day become something of popularity in the world!!
Indian food is really tasty but seriously the street vendors have got very poor hygiene but even worse are the Restaurants if you was to see their kitchens you would never eat the food. At least the street vendors cook the food in front of you. The Govt really need to sort these things out and get a Health and Safety board up and running to monitor.

It takes a lot of skill to spread the batter for a dosa like that. I have tried it and it is very hard to do. I noticed they are very generous with ingredients and portions and it all looks so delicious. I wish we could get street food like that here in America
I always love food made by hands without gloves because u can wash your hands and confidently feel that it is 100% clean instead with gloves u cannot feel if it is clean.. using gloves just give u clean hand but the food u make is not clean ...

Im an European but I can't understand the uproar about hygiene here people. Human were using bare hands in cooking for the last 25 000 years. Only recently Western reinstated to overhygene everything and sees dirt everywhere. Bleashes, antibacterial sprays, wipes etc makes only the strongest and most malicious bacteria to survive and thrive. While in normal conditions bacteria cultures keeps at bay every dangerous ones. In France, some nuns were curing cheeses in wooden barbells for centuries. When the EU forbid they had to switch to hygienic chrome bowls and barrels. Within weeks cheeses became pested with EColi. Why? Because wooden barbells had bacterial cultures in looks and crevices and ecoli did not had a chance to "sprout".
Yeah, and through those thousands of years millions of people died due to bacterial and viral infection.....it was a massive problem so humans evolved and invented simple, simple, simple procedures to prevent the spread and contamination of bacteria. Their is a reason why you wash your hands after taking a shit, a reason why you clean the area you cook, and a reason why you clean your produce before you cook and/or consume it. No one is saying be over hygienic but it is necessary and important to apply even the simplest of hygienic practices when preparing food. Common sense is free.
