Psilocybin saved my life. In May of 2018 I was begging my family to put me into assisted living. The doctors said my case was too complicated and there was nothing they could do. My brain had atrophied significantly. I couldn’t drive and I couldn’t make the simplest decisions.
I had been reading about the clinical trials using psilocybin to reset the brain but was afraid to try them because I had been sober for 26 years.
I finally decided I had nothing left to lose. It wasn’t easy. I had to try several macro doses a week apart, more or less doubling the dose. I finally achieved my first true reset. Shortly after that I attended my first tipi ceremony and added peyote to my road to recovery.
Having heard about the Stamets stack I began microdosing in September 2018. Subsequent CT scans in February 2020 showed significant regeneration of my brain tissue. Today I have my independence back. I can drive and I’m no longer a burden to my children. I’ve gotten relief from severe chronic pain from neuropathy and my high frequency hearing has been restored. I credit microdosing with those unexpected results.
I am convinced that psychedelics should be one of the first alternatives for treatment of mental illness not the treatment of last resort.
I had to continue macro dosing about once a month and it started getting quite tedious. I began getting iv ketamine treatments in May of 2020 because the trip was much more controlled and it’s legal. It’s not quite as good of a reset as psilocybin but coupled with a tipi ceremony about once per month eating peyote keeps me moving forward.
Please, do you have any idea why he says to use lion's mane muddling instead of the mushroom itself?

County Inspector, Your last paragraph seems to imply that you were tripping on a microdose of psilocybin once a month. If so, then you weren't really microdosing, were you?
Wow, yours is really a wow story. It's great that you've had a miraculous recovery! At age 58 I found a small gold top in my garden, knew only of vague stories. I microdised, very tiny dose due to fear of wrong mushie. Only later in the afternoon did I realise I had just felt the most.. Normal..that I'd ever felt. Free of anxiety, at peace, even joyous..all quite new feelings to me. I moved miles away, my chronic depression returned due to some major life events & I've spent hundreds of hours online this past year trying to learn identification of wild mushrooms, but cannot FIND any reliably safe certain types. So the issue is supply. I'm in the Central Coast NSW. I suppose you're in USA? How did you reliably source yours?
@@ivermec-tin666 the thing is, you cannot microdose everyday. The most you can take is one day yes, and two days off, then repeat.
I was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis 4 years ago after a major attack which left me blind in my right eye. The depression and stress that came with it afterwards was crippling. Psilocybin mushrooms really changed my life and my whole perception of existence. I’m now able to experience ultimate happiness and peace. I have lost my fear of dying.

In my 52 years I have used mushrooms several times and have always touted their benefits for expanding consciousness. When will micro dosing be legalized in all states, and why is there a push back on this? Marijuana is legal and micro dosing is so much more effective in treating depression and anxiety. im also 52 and ive eaten pretty many times now , and yes its a very helpful , meaningful experience that always renews me and puts me back on track . after all these compounds have been used for thousands of years and are deeply rooted in culture .

I totally agree with you 100%. Unfortunately marijuana is not legal everywhere yet. Although we're creeping in that direction. I'm lucky that in my state it's legal for recreational use and in my county all psychedelic ethnogens have been decriminalized. This is different than legalization. Is simply means that there is no money allocated for prosecuting such cases. However sales in large quantities will still be taken as serious offenses. But it is a step in the right direction. Since our decriminalization I don't know of a single case of anyone getting busted with simple possession of any substance such as LSD DMT mushrooms etc. I live in the same county Santa Cruz that MAPS has their main offices. Why are we certainly have our issues here (take your pick) we have always been on the forefront of legalization from being one of the first in legalization of medical marijuana to the decriminalization of psychedelics. It is frankly a complete waste of resources to put people in jail for such things. Biden's pardon certainly is a very small step in the right direction. But until complete federal legalization happens of even just marijuana we won't be anywhere closer to legalization of psychedelics.

I think that the importance of macro dosing has been understated here when you macrodose it might be hard and challenging but those trips are where you grow the most it forces you into a confrontation with authentic being it forces you to look at yourself and reevaluate everything in your life and change you for the better I believe these mushrooms are truly speaking to us

When my wife was dying from AFTD I had enough psilocybin to give her 1.5 g a day three times a week for a month and during that time she was much more lucid and happy, to bad it was so hard for me to acquire, and to bad I found out about it so late in her disease.

Psychedelics are the reason why i didn’t take my life when i was at my end. I was stripped of my ego and saw the beauty of life and interconnectivity and even though i still battle anxiety and depression, I’m doing better everyday and will never think in such a self destructive way again.

This experience gave me a lot of confidence about my self and my body. A bunch of bad thought / behavior patterns were broken. One of these was pretty bad OCD that made me wash my hands a lot. The main reason for the trip was my severe depression and it definitely helped me (although it's not gone). Before all I could do was lay in bed. Wow! How old are you now? How did you source them? Seems much easier if in USA tha OZ where I am. Did you try different types? Which were best for you & microdosing, how often?.. I LOVE Paul Stamets! I first bought his books maybe 20 years ago, and I'm just so so happy that he is rising to mainstream consciousness. My dream is to open a psychedelic healing retreat center on our land. We are currently just starting out, but I am aiming for being a wise old shamanic psychedelic crone :)

Paul is ripping people off by selling rice that is laced with a little bit of mycelium. So you're getting barely any mycelium, no fruiting body and mostly Brown rice. His products suck. There's way better products out there. He's out here ripping people off I don't care how knowledgeable he is.

The Trips I've been having really helped me a lot,I finally feel in control of my emotions and my future and things that used to be mundane to me now seem incredible and full of nuance on top of that I'm way less driven by my ego and I have alot more empathy as well

They say that even a bad trip can help you to unlock certain hidden parts about yourself and the innermost fears...but once you break pass it you learn from it.( Not speaking from experience)but I used to be scared of that happening too but I think now that I've heard people talking about their experience even a bad trip can be beneficial(maybe obviously everyone is different) good luck!

I am very concerned that taking any substance prescribed or otherwise to reduce human suffering is a good thing - we have a range of cultural disorders causing so much suffering - just as Paul said 'who doesn't' have anxiety and depression in these times' it is these times, the contexts that must be changed - otherwise we're heading for Huxleys soma -

Depends on the strength of the mushrooms. Often they have blue staining on stems and caps before you even pick them. Any damage to the mushroom should start staining blue within 10 min , after an hour definitely.

@@salixa5217 it's so hard to find specific info. I'm in Australia, searchin, not much success except today I found a couple of v small fairly flat rusty red orangey coloured with longish thin stems. Gills on paper turned grayish black in 5 mins. Sound like magic types? I would only do micro anyway but still scared incase they're just poison types bad for kidneys, liver etc.
