    • @jonyxy777
      @jonyxy777 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Totally agreed - except for one thing. Dean is misunderstanding the point about the physical world being an illusion, being a virtual reality. Saying that this world is illusory isn't tantamount to saying that it doesn't matter and that it doesn't affect you.
      While you are incarnated in it, or, to use video game terminology, while you're logged into the game, there are consequences because you are playing an avatar, a character, in the virtual world. What you feel in that world is totally real; pain is painful, pleasure is pleasurable.
      It's just like a dream. If somebody punches you in a dream, you will feel pain, and will try to avoid that person to avoid experiencing the pain again. But that doesn't mean that the dream is real, that it isn't an illusion.

      @@johnmurdock1489 Yup that's partly where I got it from. Thanks anyway. However, I think that Tom's missing a number of things though:
      1. The LCS is finite, meaning it's non-mystical, meaning it requires an explanation for its existence, meaning it can't be base reality.
      2. Qualia or experience like the taste of chocolate, the smell of coffee, the sound of a voice, etc. is unexplained. Data/information is not the experience itself.
      3. It is impossible to avoid belief. To illustrate, we all believe that there're other consciousnesses, since it's impossible to know that there're other minds. When we set out to create a theory of everything, we believe at the start that it's possible to create one since we don't know that at the start.
      That's why though I appreciate Tom's virtual reality model (I'm fully agreed on this) and many, many insights, I go back to traditional spiritualities, especially Christian and Vedantic ones, where the base reality is utterly mystical absolute infinity, aka Spirit/God. In other words, consciousness is infinite, not finite.

    Thank you so much for everything you do. I just wanted to add that not SOME/SUM of so called "effects" are realized ALL effects are realized, to every degree. We are in an INFINITE universe of INFINITE ever expanding INTELLIGENCE. ALL THINGS like it or not ARE POSSIBLE and in fact occurring simultaneously. There is No time, nor space nor limitations of matter consciousness or any other type, to the infinite inventor & Architect of idea itself. Thank you again so much for your work, I in fact relearned these things studying both you Master Teachers. Thank you.

    Deepak, you mentioned your yogic ability to regulate the autonomic system. Is this able to be accomplished when participating in strenuous activities as well? Such as climbing a steep mountain with a quick cadence or jumping into a cold stream of water after spending time in a sweat lodge? My background is in physical therapy. I am fascinated by the ability to push our physical beyond it’s “normal” capacity, taking it to the very edge of all its possibilities. 🙏🏻💕🌺 for this is my path, my dharma

    Thank you once again. The only thing I would question is Dean’s statement of defining Samadhi as a Siddhi and describing the effects or the oneness felt during the experience as “ telepathic” . The experience of Samadhi and param samadhi is complete oneness with the cosmic reality in the sense of Aham Brahm Asmi. Saints have willingly separated and left their physical bodies in the complete union with the complete consciousness of the entire existence as yourself within that ultimate reality and realization of Param Samadhi? Perhaps it is just a concept that is still not entirely grasped by even a trained snd erudite a mind as Dean’s? Not sure if this but would love to hear your opinion/ comment if you ever see my question/ comment! 🙏🏽

    But its not just a perceptual experience of consciousness Deepak...there is a physical world that is common to all people. A simple proof is the Binomial Theorem. There is evidence of multiple cultures independently developing the binomial theorem, at various stages of history. To me this conclusively proves that there is a very real physical world out there and yes we absolutely have the ability to correctly measure it. How else could independent scientists with no contact constantly come to the same conclusions?

    Love the conversation and what direction it took. However, I'm still not all that comfortable with the idea that awareness may indeed be eternal. I guess I'm referring to the reassuring and somewhat consoling quality of experiencing something one is familiar with. And the idea of possibly being "trapped" in eternity still gives me night terrors. But maybe that's just that part of my consciousness that clings to ego and can't let go as the latter is something of a vehicle for us to navigate this 3D realm.
    Interesting conversation indeed! (Oh, I'm guessing Dr. Radin is familiar with Sir Roger Penrose's and Dr. Stuart Hameroff's ORCH-OR, isn't he? Their theory supports the idea of quantum states in the brain. Just saying.)

    What if reality is a matrix of consciousness, energy and a framework which allows for relationship to exist so there is content rather than an abject oneness (which it seems would be indistinguishable from nothingness). Think of consciousness as being like the air, the framework as being like a drum, and the energy being someone hitting the drum. So the vibrating air would be like "knentic consciousness" rising forth from "potential consciousness".
    I also have to wonder if some master mind created the conditions of reality that would make this all possible...like a core "fundamental soul" underlies all of reality and created conditions for which evolution were possible in order to create.
