Sure the students are adapting to your new sense of style, but that fact that you play a few hundred measures then let the student to play and figure for him/herself is a little unbearable I find. And I am well aware that you too must have at some point felt the same level of difficulty yourself when you were young is understandable. I personally would have found this somewhat horrifying the way he pops in and out behind you.
