    I just watched a video of a farmers market auction and can't believe that one yellow mum sold for $20 and the rest sold for $12.50 each. About 15 years ago I paid $10 total for 3 mums.
    I need to start growing and selling mums. Seeds are only $0.02 each.

    You can keep the plant viable in a green house year after year, I have a couple mum's that are about 5 years old now in clay pots. :)

    Questions:
    Where do you get your drip system parts from?
    How do you 'turn off' your drip lines after the plant has been sold?

    I’m growing mums this year . They tell me to put down white rock or 57 rock . Is sand better? It sure is more cost effective! I have the injection system and all irrigation components but I would like to see how that works. Maybe to late for a video but still interested. I’m in Tennessee just above the Mississippi Alabama line zone 7B. Thanks Daniel

    Hi, I appreciate your video! I am wondering if you can detail how many plugs you used, in which size pots? We used 3 in 9" pots last year and over all did not have a successful experience and hoping to have a better one this year. With this, which size pot is the most popular to plan for resale, from you experience? Do most like a certain size? Thanks so much!

    Im trying to see if i can regrow my mums from last year. Im in Illinois and purchased them early fall of last year and planted them in the ground quickly. Its been a pretty mild winter so hopefully they took. My question is, do i take off all of the dead plant to start new growth come spring?

    • @twosistersflowerfarm
      @twosistersflowerfarm  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I feel like I'm still testing out varieties- it's only my second year growing them, so I feel like my experience is limited, but my absolute favorite last year was the 'Cheryl' mum familiy!

    Hello….that was impressive! Thank you. Could you tell me how many mums you planted….and I was curious why did you space them so far apart? I figured maybe so you could drive thru them ? We don’t have that much space..I wonder if we could cozy them up some. Thank you very much for the info.

    • @twosistersflowerfarm
      @twosistersflowerfarm  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      We plant around 1200. We space them far apart to allow room for growth. A 12inch mum will often have a 20 to 24 inch canopy. From my experience- growing them close together isn't ideal. Best of luck!

      It's a simple potting mix that we are able to order in bulk from our local grower's co-op. Truly nothing fancy, just whatever drains easily.

      I don’t have experience doing this myself so I hesitate to give too much advice - but my instinct says that a dark shed should be fine. You’ll have to trial-and-error and let us know how it turns out!
