Hans Zimmer is a walking legend in the music world and I had the honour of meeting him in person and he's such a wonderful soul and gentleman. The resolve he has for making his music is beyond wondrous and The Lion King (TLK) soundtrack is magnificent because he gave it life through the understanding of the concepts and character of the movie itself. I pray that the upcoming live version of TLK has its score done by the man himself...because I can honestly see nobody better suited for the job...the latest trailer's music itself brought me to tears of appreciation and I can't wait to see the new TLK. Thank you Sir Hans Zimmer for creating musical magic.
Ugh, Hans Zimmer is amazing. He's just so passionate about what he does, it's impossible to not get excited when you watch him talk about it or work with musicians. Love him.
Jim Cummings has the coolest role in The Lion King: He either laughs maniacally as Ed or sings menacingly as Scar (the “Be Prepared” sequence). Jeremy Irons’ vocal cords needed a break
I thank God for you guys making of this Animation you not only made Africa felt with the combination with the World working together to achieve something great that encourages youths, children and everyone who watches it that you can achieve something great.
It sure does. And during the making of The Lion King, Hans Zimmer and his fellow artists were using a full 55 piece orchestra, the tribe’s choir, and African instruments.
I commented on the other parts. I had this show recorded. I'm surprised TH-cam don't have my copy. It interviewed jeremy irons who did scar. Talked about Mathew Broderick, whoopi Goldberg, cheech Marin. Even showed James earl Jones, voices of timon & pumbaa. They even showed young & old simba voice actors.
And they should’ve talked about more African animals. Y’know, like elephants, zebras, giraffes, hippopotamuses, rhinoceroses, flamingos, water buffalo, ostriches, gazelles, cheetahs, leopards, and wildebeests.
Growing up, I thought Timon said “pecans”, instead of “piquant”, after chomping on the fruit-resembling red bug. Imagine my surprise and slight disappointment in discovering that pecans are nuts, rather than funky fruit
i wonder when the Lion King is set; would you see primitive man walking by with spears, would you see tanks, buggies and recon bikes rolling on by, or egyptian chariots or napoleons hussars?
The etymology of * meerkat * is one of the coolest and most puzzling: The animal is neither a sea-dwelling creature nor a feline Apparently, the original name is markat (“monkey” / “ape” in Hindi)

Am I the only one that finds it ironic that Disney was against hunting, and was a "animal activist", but when he built his theme park he destroyed millions of acres of forest. And was even called out when one of his "documentary" films was actually revealed to have pushed thousands of lemmings off of a cliff.

Hans is one my favorite composers.

He was BORN to make music, he is legend.
I love Hans, too.
I love Hans, too. Still, it’s nice he brought in an orchestra besides African music.

ikr I've watched lion King everyday since I was 3 and I still watch it
Me too
The Lion King has great music score.
The best!
Astounding, to say the least. The stage production at the Pantages Theatre includes a few newer tracks and scenes that only add to the awesomeness
It sure does. And during the making of The Lion King, Hans Zimmer and his fellow artists were using a full 55 piece orchestra, the tribe’s choir, and African instruments.
This makes me want to watch lion king again
do it
If you happen to be in LA anytime soon, check out the production at Pantages
One of the film’s best scenes is Pumbaa charging at the hyenas. “They call me ‘Mister Pig’! Aaaaaaahhhhh!!!”
Ooh, Pumbaa was freakin’ mad!
Never mess with a warthog like Pumbaa.
Those grubs always looked so good when I was a kid

Jason Marsden's got a great information on animals.
I thought it sounded like Jason Marsden.
@@quiggc1 It did.
And he was also the voice of Young and Adult Kovu in The Lion King II: Simba’s Pride and The Lion Guard.
They should also included one that's about Hornbills and another one about Baboons since they have ones for Lions, Meerkats, Warthogs and Hyenas.
And they should’ve talked about more African animals. Y’know, like elephants, zebras, giraffes, hippopotamuses, rhinoceroses, flamingos, water buffalo, ostriches, gazelles, cheetahs, leopards, and wildebeests.
I love meerkats and lions and other animals!!
But the real hyenas are grounded and banned from the house and zoos and for weeks and months and years!! They are banned for hurting the boy’s jaw!!
Some of those footage of the lion king characters real life counterparts are actually stock footages from one of the True Life Adventures.
Growing up, I thought Timon said “pecans”, instead of “piquant”, after chomping on the fruit-resembling red bug. Imagine my surprise and slight disappointment in discovering that pecans are nuts, rather than funky fruit
Lebo M, Hans Zimmer and John Elthon... It's like Timon Pumba and Simba, a trio that if separate, doesn't actually make sense... Hurray :))
Still, it’s nice that they brought in an orchestra besides African music.
30:28 i love big red dogs 🐶
20:15 😂😂😂😂😂
My show even showed the voice of rafiki
Finally =), thanks a lot
21:27 SHE'S GONNA EAT ME!
I LOVE HYENAS
LMAO! That expression is priceless

James Mardsen who played kovu would be great as adult simba I have no problem with Matthew Broadwick he did great but it was just a suggestion.
It's Jason not James
30:19 how is call this movie ?
I think I heard max talk about the animals that are in the lion king on the special edition disc 2 from 2003.
You mean Jason Marsden? So did I.
@@quiggc1 actually kovu is a better analogy
22:18
*Proceeds to show photo of an animal that doesn't live in Africa*
22:18 Yeah, because that's not an aardvark. That's an anteater. Those come from South America, not Africa.
Is this Matthew Broderick’s voice?
Kovu's voice actor instead lol
Hans zimmer is king of movie music
Not only do I love Hans Zimmer. I also love the orchestra which he uses.
does Elton still perform 'can you feel the love tonight?'?
I sure hope so
So. What is the English translation for Lebo's African lyrics???
lol i thought they were gonna say it here... just left us hanging

I think millions is a bit of an overstimate
It won’t close
yes
hans zimmer
disney
Hans Zimmer is better than John Williams
Yeah, way better. And John Williams did music for Star Wars.
0:44 Still, it’s nice that he and his fellow musical artists brought in an orchestra besides African instruments and choirs.
I have more of a nostalgic connection to Rhythm of the Pridelands and Lion King 2................Sorry. ^^'
I’m surrounded by idiot
