Hey Pete, I admire your yard to the fullest. Over here in West Tx. It’s hard to keep my yard like yours. I really need to study the weather & what chemicals to use to make my yard as gorgeous as yours.
Thanks to you and the knowledge you've given me my yard rarely goes dormant. I noticed that if you go ahead and feed it when it's warm enough it still uptakes the nutrients and holds its color longer last year we had one week of teens cold but after i fed it and the tips of my grass only started to turn slightly at the end of February so my yard was Green pretty much the whole winter. Neighbors all wonder how mine stays green. It used to be that it would snow and be cold every winter 30 years ago. But now with global warming we are lucky to have any winter. Feels like fall all season.
I wish I could get my lawn to look as uniformed as yours. No matter what I do I always end up with patches of poa trivialis. Your 30-0-0 fertilizer is great. I have never seen my fescue look greener and darker.
Thank you Pete, for all you do. It's entertaining and informative. I did a renovation based on your videos. Loved the protene fert. Can't wait to try your new line going forward . I see you moving sprinklers around. Did the irrigreen system ( on the blue grass) not work for you?
Thanks, Pete!! I so enjoy watching your videos and seeing how you care for your property and equipment. I also love to hear you brag on the Lord for saving your never dying soul. Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours 😊
Hey Pete, love your videos and I wanted to share a content idea with you since you are one of the last big TH-camrs doing Fescue. The experiment is if doing your last cut (on tall fescue) of the season with a reel mower will help it to look better into the winter months as opposed to a rotary. Even with sharp blades, the cut isn’t as clean with a rotary and after a few weeks the dormancy haze sets in. What I am finding in my experiment is that the part of my yard that I cut with a 5 blade reel mower at 3-3/16” HOC is looking better than the rest of my yard that was cut on the same day with a rotary at 3-1/4”. Maybe you could start a new trend if you come to the same conclusion? 🤣
Pete, in Virginia we have a stretch of cold weather coming in between 20 to 30 degress during the nights in the next several days. If the weather breaks and goes back up around 50 during the day, can i go back and apply the 30-0-0? I only applied 1/2 lb on my newly renovated GCI TTTF yard and havent appied anymore. Will that be enough to protect the yard noving forward unto the spring?
Super interested to know is our couch grass in Australia, particularly Queensland Blue Couch, the same or similar to your Bermuda grass? I figure you have a a vast Ozzy following so it might help us understand a bit better.

Thankful for you Pete for teaching us. I'm retired now and sold my company. Just moved and will be doing a renovation on this new pitiful lawn.
Appreciate you
Thanks, Pete!
How big is your property? Both within the big trees and the solo piece of land outside of the tree line?
I am grateful for your videos.
I’m thankful for your guidance and your kindness. All the answers are there if we just open our eyes and take it in.
I appreciate you friend

Would you still apply your winterizer fert if you’ve already had one hard freeze, upper 20s?
Yes!
Soil temperatures are still around the 40-50s

@GCITurf Really? I'll look back.

I know how you feel about using a 6 gallon air compressor. 10 zones took an hour. You got way more!
Question sir. How is that 4ft root test going for you down there?
I stopped that several years ago

Are the skid sprayers going to be on sale for Black Friday? I looked and it still says they’re the same price.
No. I don’t have any control over that pricing. Sorry
Pete what do you do for fire ants down your way ? Moving to nc next month
I do t deal with them where I live
We don't have them around here they're mainly towards the coast..
What size compressor are you using?
I have no clue to be honest. It’s a Kobalt from Lowe’s. Chest high on me
