Vintaj Patina is designed to be self-sealing. We've had good results leaving it unsealed over the years we've been using it. We will seal it sometimes to add extra durability to a piece that's going to see heavy wear. For that we recommend their satin finish sealant and extender: beadaholique.com/products/vintaj-mini-glaze-metal-sealer-and-patina-extender-0-5-ounce-bottle
No, with this set of earring posts they don't mirror each other: beadaholique.com/products/earring-post-u-shaped-chandelier-with-loops-earnuts-37x15mm-1-pair-gold-tone
Vintaj Patina is designed to be self-sealing and we've had good results leaving it unsealed in many of our projects, especially ones like this where the components are free hanging. If you'd like to make it even more durable Vintaj has a satin finish sealant you can use: beadaholique.com/products/vintaj-mini-glaze-metal-sealer-and-patina-extender-0-5-ounce-bottle
Cotton swabs can also work well in a pinch, though we've noticed they sometimes shed a bit of fiber into the paint. The nice thing we like about paper towels in this situation is that we always tend to have some near our workspace anyway.

Thanks Amanda!
I'm wondering if Vintaj Patinas should be sealed so they don't rub off?

So will one be facing the oposite way to the other?

Does the patina require a sealant? Won't it rub off?

@@beadaholique Thank you so much for the quick reply! Much appreciated!
Did I miss what you were putting the patina on?
The applicator is just a household paper towel. We don't sell them, it's just something we figure a lot of folks keep near their work spaces.
@@beadaholique oh I mean the earring pieces. But I saw the list once I hit the little down arrow! Thank you for responding! They are pretty!
Oh good I'm glad you found then. Nice aren't they!
Cotton swabs would have been better for applying it on small surfaces such as those earrings IMO

Artist paint brushes are better and are the recommended medium by Vintaj for a neat and efficient experience.
