J-Cole is a huge deal to J-Hope. He even named is first mix-tape Hope World, modeled after J-Cole's Cole World. They met when they were both at Lollapalooza, 2022, which J-Hope headlined. I don't know how much you know of the backstory of this song, but I am just gonna tell you anyways :D J-Hope's name is inspired by J.Cole and he is hugely influenced by J.Cole. (e.g. his first mixtape being called "Hope World" like J.Cole's "Cole World") They first met at Lollapalooza when J-Hope was performing. (There is a behind the scenes video and Hobi is fanboying) It must have been a huge honour for Hobi to get this really long J.Cole verse. Also in the MV Hobi dances while J.Cole raps which is reminiscent of is earlier days where he was dancing to J.Cole's music when he was younger. This song actually grew on me a lot, I think it is indeed giving off chill vibes ;) And even though I am not really religious and J.Cole's verse is playing on that a lot, I can still appreciate it for his rhymes and wordplay :)
