So the idea is: -I use Comeback for Speed and Ink boost (no Gambit because this weapon takes more ink and I would just lose it without the mines) -Then 2 Subs of Ink Recovery, because its good for the sub and main weapon and goes well with Swim Speed (the faster you swim the more you swim = more ink recovered). I always have these boots on for my vanilla build aswell and finally I put 1 special charge Main for the Spash wall and as much Run/Swim Speed as I could find. That 1 main of Special Charge is just a idea you can put anything there, I would maybe replace it with more Runspeed because why not! (I thought of haunt or thermal ink but it never paid off so being able to throw the wall faster is always good) But yeah I never used this thing because I never was able to be as quick as the vanilla but now I can finally 5 star it without having to give up my playstile! (Gambit Vanilla is still way faster tho)
ah if you ask yourself why the Run and Swim Speed: -Run Speed is essential for Undercover if you wanna use it like a Splat Brella. Undercover is faster than Splat Brella nd with an Run Speed build and you still can hold the shield up to shoot through it (crawling) if your in a pitch. At least with Run Speed you get the option to way more manoeuvre options! Run Speed is the key to everything! (🥲 pls don´t just crawl) -Swim Speed is handy against weapons that counter you. You can escape faster but more importantly you can outspeed them and beat them by getting into their face faster by holding the Swim button and shoot (Mainstrafe). you are faster than a Range Blaster this way (show them who is the boss) Swim Speed makes you threatening against Blasters and Splatanas the only Blaster you should Crawl is the Crash Blaster (you can tank it) Thats all of the Undercover Info Dump for now, Take care!
