I have to admit that despite the romantic side of me loving Anne Rice’s vampires, I think the most “realistic” version of Bram Stoker’s vampire are the ones depicted on Stephen King’s, “Salem’s Lot.” They are completely amoral, cold, vicious, cruel and utterly frightening. So, it’s no surprise how much I enjoyed this terrific story & the narration, although like so many vampire tales, there is sadness and loss to deal with! Congrats and many thanks to the author & our favorite narrator for making my evening so enjoyable!

You should read Brian lumley s necroscope series....that's really a different take on vampires....

TBH I love the raspy voices he does for characters. Depending on characters that voice can be chilling or downright creepy as hell
Better make sure to not eat or drink, make small sips or swallow fast.
Any moment you could either spit it over your favourite blanket or choke on it !
But that's a very light side effect compared to the benefits. 🙃
Vampire stories are usually very cliched and overdone.

I like it as well. It's just sometimes...his voice choices are odd. His southern accent kinda freaks me out. It's a smidge over the top.

I go from another stretch of listening to a 6 hr compilation to see a new upload. The story of a vampire? Yes, please! One of the few people I can listen to when I have a migraine. Snuggling a German Shepard as a pillow and listening to you in a room as darkened as possible

@@janedoex1398 Thanks I crashed for a bit. He’s actually my fiancé’s service dog. He is trained for her migraines as well as other issues. The German Shepard puppy my husband has is still in hyperactive stupid mode. 🤷🏻♀️ She’s a goofball. The husky/wolf mix we have is more my support dog but he doesn’t sleep with me unless I’m downstairs. He spent a good chunk of today on the couch with me after my husband went to work and our daughter was up. I’ve had migraines since I was 7 because that’s when I remember as the first one while I was doing homework. 30+ years later, I pray that my children don’t end up with migraines.
@@LighthouseHorror it really is awesome. But also more awesome with my husky/wolf snuggles. My fiancé’s dog is good, but my snuggler dog will delicately jump on the couch and snuggle up laying his head on me. Her dog has to be there on you if you’re hurting or upset, but mine is a jealous dog that doesn’t like other adults touching me 🤷🏻♀️🙄😂 he starts out talking, but will eventually go so far as to put himself between whoever is touching/being affectionate with me and myself.

oh the trauma, she was crayzy- even the principal said so , but since she had a mother to care for they wouldn't fire her, despite several parent/ prinzipal meeting.
(She wouldn't give back assignments and punish the students if they lost the 300 th loose sheets because she had our books and couldn't keep up with correcting them for 6 months. ) Crazy 1993.
And now people go crazy about toilet signs.
@@janedoex1398 i do believe it was translated active, im no expert but some of Latin class stuck with me lol its so tricky cause its 'dead' but gave life to 7 other languages. Over use of certain words usually happen because someone translates wors by word instead of what would be called 'proper' latin phrases that cover certain worda in syllables. Sorry for the info dump, just love love love latin.

I've been listening to radio plays since I was a boy. Mostly BBC stuff while my dad and I worked on the family's Morris Minor van.
This young man and his authors are by far my favorites. He doesn't over- emote or have some mad inflection that distracts.

I know that I can't be the only person who listens to stories more than once. Sometimes they're better the second and even the third time I've listened. So many try their best to try to tell stories but not all can do it. This one is a really great one. Especially the creature speaking, it gave me the creeps when I first heard it and it still does!

I remember getting the lowest grade in the entire class in Latin. If I would've known I'd be narrating creepypastas with so much latin - I would've taken the class more seriously hah

Hi LT . The character development and pace of the story by Jesse Clark is a masterstroke. But your narration pulls this tale together and brings it to a heartrending climax. Alas Ruth is triumphant over Badarab but at great personal cost to himself. 😔 I so hoped he would survive but very glad he was able to save his friend.

I am more impressed with Ruth’s sacrifice than his ability to track and kill the vampire. He was able to retain the one thing the old vampire could never have- his humanity. In the end, that was what truly doomed the vampire.
The way this story was written was amazing and your narration of it and music you use in the story are really amazing. I’m not much of a vampire story, but this one was really good and I enjoyed listening to it.
I like these kinds of stories. The protagonist has a clear goal, they know what they're doing and how they'll do it. No fumbling and confusion and having no clue what's happening. I love it 💖
