Don't watch vinesauce at all so I was absolutely confused wtf was happening. But the amount of technical programming in here is batshit insane. I couldn't even imagine how the hell they did all of this.
Considering that I haven't been an avid subscriber to Vinny's content as long as other people to fully understand some references, I still to this day come back to watch gameplay of this game. It's fascinating enough to be called a full-blown Mario game, plus nostalgic features and memes.
If you wanna shave off a few seconds, take the baby yoshi directly to baby jail without feeding it. It can eat the Beans even before becoming a full yoshi, and even saves you from the "indirect kiss" message box. Plus skipping the dark chattown
@@Nat_the_Chicken yeah it already breaks the actual Super Mario World. Though they do try to balance it a bit by making it somewhat hard to learn to use properly. Though it doesn't really take that long to get to grips with it and begin doing crazy stuff with it. But yeah compared to say the Ray the flying squirrel character in Sonic Mania it's harder to use. They at least try to make it useful for finding secrets. Rather than just being a way to skip levels. But the raccoon leaf in SMB 3 was better all round, because it had limitations and you couldn't just fly indefinitely.
And here I finally realized the entire story of this romhack. Sponge jumped into Meat's mouth and then he ended up being inside that weird meme world. So in the end, Sponge defeats that same Meat and then he climbs out of that world on a giant mushroom, still unhappy though because he's still yet to find the reliable source of meat. Oh right, I forgot to mention Princess Bleach was eaten by the same Meat.
So in the end, not only did he fail to save the princess, but he also was never able to find some meat, as was his original goal for his adventure. Truly, his depression can only get worse from here on out as a total failure.
I love going through the comments and seeing everyones confusion and horror not knowing that this whole game is just a bunch of vinesauce memes. (Out of context they are a bit insane huh)

Hey Senjan! Sup? Haha, I don't think the hell segment is beatable, after a certain point the flames become much faster than Mario's max x speed, so even with tools it's impossible to escape them.

In the editor it only goes for a few screens, and the level is intentionally designed to inhibit full speed running, so you're basically forced into the flames.

There's a skip that saved time at the beginning with the emoji pit. If you press L+A at the start of it, you will flip upside down and fall back up skipping right to the falling transition that normally takes place at the bottom of the pit. The next room will have you falling down normally.

yeah pretty much every character or enemy in this is a reference to popular/reoccurring vinesauce joke. meat, sponge, princess bleach, vineRizon(an emote on his channel with a backstory i don't even know), the frog, jay leno(a bad impression he does occasionally), time to take a piss (a video he didn't make but popularized), CBT, squeezing hogs, and like all of his twitch emotes are there as well as the SMUP sectiom being a copy of vinesauce's favorite shooter game as a kid i would recommend watching the steamer himself play it over the TAS
