I THINK THE MANTRAS ARE GOOD the problem is they are too broken at the start but they have potential and are cool but they need to be abkle to mostly prevent the brokeness showing up in the first place

I think you're missing the point. Before this update, you literally cannot fight without tap dancer. So to combat needing tap dancer in all builds, they made it an innate ability. What phantom step does is give a long lasting lightning cloak that builds up not by cooldown but by dodging. Which keep in mind, Attunement stats don't follow the same shrine of order rules as physical stats. This means they could shrine below the 25 stat point cap. 55 gale could be reduced to 14. Unlike tap dancer's 60 stat points only being reduced to 35. This means in effect, they made a new mandatory talent that is way cheaper than tap dancer. Which keep in mind, is effectively a better lightning cloak
@@RavenousCucumber You could easily fight without tap dancer, I've done it for ages and reached high elo it not necessary to have you're capping out your ass when you say you literally cant fight without it, If you cant fight without it that's a skill issue itself. Secondly, While I agree the new haunted path is a lil underthought out, It's not exactly that crazy, It does require build up but I believe in truth it rewards too much for basic gameplay

I don't see how it's a better Lightning cloak, you must've seen the spectral gauge and thought, it's automatically the better cloak because if you fill it out fully you can run forever. Thing is the spectral runs out very quickly and using aerial moves during the state will also make it run it out quickly, not objectively deciding to run will only make it drain fast and then lose it for nothing and I don't believe you can gain a huge spectral gain from dodging, with Lightning cloak you could just hit, parry or dodge and that would extended it's duration with no moves decreasing it, so when you get a decent amount of duration with lightning cloak you can still run with no set backs so I don't see how its better wndcloak. Also you can fight still fight without Tap Dancer? If you need to roll twice for every single attack and think this talent is necessary that is a you problem. For me who had high agility builds i never got tap dancer once (and I dont use shrine of order ever, i dont care if i ruin my own build bc i dont use it) and i can still dodge just as fine as I can.

And to respond to your Tap Dancer critique, Higher elo fights are broken down to three things, Who can win more parry trades, Who can tank the more hits (Although this is made redundant by the former) and how well you can bait out vents. Tap dancer allowed for people to continually predict and bait out vents without having to choose how you use your dodges. The very fact that a form of dancer was made into an innate combat mechanic is proof in of itself that tap dancer did give a significantly noticeable competitive advantage. Deepwoken players complain about every little thing because in a game like Deepwoken, every little thing counts. Especially when it comes to High elo and chime longevity.

we are no longer in the phase of deepwoken when everyone was just learning how to play, now people have to adapt to win, if you can't keep up with the always changing state of pvp you'll always lose your fights
Lowkey it takes a while to build bar (and u need gale mantras to build bar effectively) not to mention u need to be power 8 to get the path in the first place and above 50 gale. Ion think everyones gonna swap to this path for running especially when it seems like suffocate is better for actually fighting and still gives u a decent amt of mobil.

You cant run with no half/full gale build with the new gale path just because how painful it is to get dashes and stuff. Also dashes have a cd and u only get around 3-4 at 65% ish. The only way to charge it up is to either dodge caltrops or use actual gale mantras.
it literally is not as bad as you think, just have in mind that this can be used by all sides (People can run away from ganks easily, gankers can catch up to people easily, gale mage players get a free speed boost for actually being good at using their mantras and dodging, plus speedrunners get the best day of their lives). I think everybody wins with this path except the people that don't like Gale getting buffs, there's literally no bad side for this imo🤷♀️
because mobility got added, it does not apply to running and chasing evenly. this is because running is much easier than chasing. therefore running got buffed because while it helps both sides, it helps runners more.

ngl i like the new gale path but gales mobility is definitely a problem still. a lot of the community is ignorant to how op running is in the game. i can go 75 gale pretty easily and get gale dash, wind step, gale leap, aeroglide, and the new gale path with the dash just for like 20-30 something points. my starkindred curved build can literally fly and nobody can do anything about it.
