Finally, a dude who speaks my language! Incredible video man. Couple of questions if you have the time. I essentially want a blade that I can drag/drop or copy/paste fonts on to. I will not be doing heavy customizing/coding, so I was leaning towards Golden Harvest. But I think this board is obsolete now? Would SNV4 Pro be the equivalent to this? 1. Is the quality of a SNV4 Pro board equal to a proffie such that smooth swing, accent swings, response, lighting, sound are all identical? Or does proffie have the edge on this? 2. Similarly, it seems that you can install proffie files onto a SV4 pro board. So, if I wanted to purchase a font off of Kyberohonics, for example, would that font have identical quality on the SV saber as it would a Proffie saber? 3. Seems that SV comes preloaded with lots of content already. But let's say I want an Anakin EP3 hilt. Will it have that font from the movie on it already or is that something I have to search out? 4. Does Proffie come with preinstalled content? So, hypothetically wouldn't have to program anything out of the box or set it up? Just turn it on with the content on it? Thanks a million man. Really appreciate it in advance! Super excited about this!
Hey thanks for checking out my video and dropping a comment. I appreciate it. Let me see if I can answer these questions for you. First I’ve tried the Golden Harvest board and I wasn’t really a fan of it. Yes the board is obsolete. I just found it to be difficult to use when switching between fonts and colors on the fly. I prefer SNv4 Pro to it 1. SNv4 Pro vs Proffie. They are close. Proffie only gets the edge because you can dial in the effects more. But that comes with a little programming. So you can make the response time, pre-on effects, clash effects.. etc… you can make it all more precise and timed to your specifications. If all you want to do is drag and drop sounds, SNv4 is much much easier to work with. 2. Yes sound fonts that you buy from Kyberphonic for Proffie will work with SNv and you can drag and drop them. The quality of the sound it limited to the quality of the speaker though. So that can vary. I’ve receive proffie lightsabers and the sound has not been that great. Unfortunately most of these lightsaber companies won’t tell you what speaker you are getting. If you want the absolute best sound, you need to go with a custom build or some of the more expensive companies like Korbanth. 3. The preloaded sound fonts are dependent on what company you buy from. The only one right now that lets you choose what set of sound fonts you want is Theory Sabers. But he charges for it. That being said, most companies provide an Anakin sound font with all their lightsabers. 4. Yes Proffie comes with sound fonts preloaded. The best ones that I’ve seen out of the box are CCsabers, Korbanth and Vaders Sabers. They give you a ton of good fonts at no extra charge. Theory Sabers and Nsaberd also gives you a good base selection of fonts. All you need to do is fire it up and go have fun. I hope this helps! May the force be with you!
Okay, one last question if you don't mind, haha. Looking at Vader Sabers and they offer Xenopixel V3 on the Ani saber I want. Thoughts on that vs SNV4? Because artsabers has the SNV4 and I'm debating between the two boards as my final decision.
Yea its pretty impressive when you hold it. (That's what she said, lol) But seriously the weight gives it more realism. Like you are holding a broad sword.
I don’t have to remove the buttons on mine to take out the chassis. Just the set screw. Just fyi. Might save you some time. It appears to be the same, despite mine being from theory.
@@Forcetones ah cool. I removed the buttons out of caution. Also with my bad eyes it makes it easier for me to line up the buttons when I reinstall it. 😂. Thank you!
@@HyperdriveStarWars no problem. I wish you could just slide it in and out to show off the crystal. Another little tip: with all these new sabers that come with two emitters, I just leave a blade screwed into one. That way I just swap emitters to insert blade. And last thing: my endcap doesn’t unscrew like yours? I was thinking it would, too. I wonder if they glued it down? And, yes, heaviest saber I own! Over 2 lbs! 😆
I have never got a proffie neopixel saber. Im saving up to get one but one issue. Im not very tech worthy and I don’t know how to code all these confusing fonts. How did you learn and what did you do? Thank you
@@Michael0413-WWEfn At first it seems hard but when you start to do one, it’s not so bad. There is a website that you plug the settings in and it gives you the code. After that it’s a simple copy and paste.

@@chrisd1641 I checked the price at Theory Sabers after reading this comment. It’s only a 99 cent difference for the same thing. Vaders Sabers, on the other hand, is a lot cheaper before the MEDINALORIAN discount is applied. So if price is all that you are looking at, that would be the way to go
@@4alexc yeah & no hate, this is an amazing review of the saber by the way! I bought it about 2 weeks ago & it’s great. Just got to find the best one for you imo. These 3 companies are good in their own ways.

Best saber reviewer on the web!!!
Thanks bro!
Saber looks awesome 😮😮 great review video 👍 😎
Do you have an opinion on RX Sabers?
I got the same saber featured in the video from nsabers as well.
Nice congrats! Do you like it?

Does the lightsaber u reviewed have proffie or a snv4 sound board? 😅
Proffie
Sounds like the weight of the saber is exactly what Lucas had in mind for them.
