Just a warning to early Model Y tesla owners. I ran into an issue installing pilot lights on my Model Y. I have the 2020 Model Y with the old style red blinker tail lights so these pilots won't work since when you press the brake, the pilot lights registers that as both blinkers "blinking" and then it would light up amber instead of red. This is a wiring issue since the old tail lights uses 3 wires (one wire controls both blinkers and brake) while the newer version uses 4 wires and have a dedicated brake wire. If your tail light blinks red instead of amber, save your money for another mod.
Wow you really come across nice features to add to the model y. I will have to call Larry back to see about getting this installed! I love love love my automatic Frunk from Hanshow.
FYI for any folks with a '23 Shanghai MYP with RHD (driver right side) ... the R and L cables were reversed. And YIKES! getting to those tail lamp connectors was tight (ouch!). However, well worth the installation, it's a very pretty doodad ;).
Curious as to why they would not simply provided a connector for the hitch wiring harness like you would use for any common trailer you want to tow? Installation could be completed in less than two minutes.
Imagine w/ the harness it would make the car think you're towing with the stock package. I did the bumper reflector replacement and the pilot light at the same time. I think the only complaint I have is the routing of the wires over the lip of metal and putting the weather stripping over it seems like a failure point. I've watched a few videos of people removing the tail lights and routing up that way too so I may swap to that so I don't have a tiny bulge under the weather stripping. Not to mention bending the wire over that can't be great long term.
What would it matter if the car thought you were towing? I was all for this till I realized it didn't just plug into connections that are already there.

Anyone have problem where at night when headlights on. The pilot light stays in park mode while driving.. its does the park mode light where it dims out and come back. Brake light become solid when press on brake and sequential signal works even at night. But during driving at night on the freeway, the light will act as park mode lighting

What is that round thing underneath left side of car about in middle of car? Is that one of those support you put on car if lifting car with jacks for repairs? You see it at end of video when parking in garage.

So there is no option to have it on with tail lights at night if you can't have it pulsing. To be clear the options are on and pulsing or cut the white wire and then it's just a low level brake light. ?

Yes you can just take off and there is a wire connector to remove and you can hook up
@@megawatts by removing the wire connector which Im assuming is connected to the tail light, won’t it the render the tail light to not work while using trailer? Or do you then attach the wire from tail light to trailer lights wire?
