The last thing I thought I was going to do was drop the engine again. I think I looked at it and didn't see any fractures so I went with it. Obviously it was very bent. Not sure how this happened, but was before I had it apart for sure. It takes a bit to drive the roll pin out to get the shaft out, but worth it since I was able to grease it up and make it operate smoothly. Thanks for watching!
Great informative video. So it was the fork? What did you do with the extra 2mm travel that occurred with the new fork replacement? Did you install the Porche fork or return it? Cheers Looking forward to the next project
The new Rennline floorboards have an adjustable stop that I removed from the factory wood floorboards. You can move this up and down to limit the travel. I didn't expect my travel issue to be the fork. Must have been binding in there. Thanks for watching!
I never got the car licensed since it needed a VIN inspection. Need some tags and then I can get it on the road for an extended drive. Thanks for watching!
So this is a 930 with a 915? I Trying to figure out my omega spring on my 930 project but it’s a 4speed and our springs look completely different which makes sense if it’s a 915
OK, not really done yet, I still have some issues to wrap up before I call it good to drive. These cars are supposed to be fairly reliable so I want to get close to that. Thank you again for your support.
Good job finding the problem, I don't think I would have gone looking for a bent release fork. I will inspect mine before it goes back in.!!!!

Yes I believe the 2.7 was removed and a 3.3 installed. It is also a 915 trans.
You have to do a Drive before you move on!
