Thanks for the review and walkthrough of My Farm Shop. This looks like a fun game and especially good for playing with kids (with easier rules and gameplay and faster play for little ones with shorter attention spans). Which of these "Monopoly alternative" games would you recommend most for primary school kids under 10 years of age? How about Machi Koro 2 vs Machi Koro Legacy (both of which seem better than the original Machi Koro)? Dice City? Space Base? Splendor? Dinosaur World? SteamPark? Happy Pigs? Century: Spice Road? Others?
Idk....we like the game. At the very least it's not broken out of the box like the original Machi Koro was (I don't know about MK II & whether or not they fixed the problems). Granted, the theme in this one isn't very exciting, but at least it's not a broken game as far as we can tell. It's a family game that's on the lighter side & we were pleasantly surprised by it.
I think the problem this game suffers is the same as machi koro 2. After one play your like. I’m good 🙂 it’s too light and too random although I haven’t played my farm shop yet I think I’ll pass. Thanks for the review. 👍 even space base was ok
Game looks far too light for me. The bright, cartoon-like graphics, friendly theme, iconography over text, and simple rules seems like it'd be an excellent intermediate game for taking younger children into the next step of slightly more complicated games to help grasp resource management and more options in gameplay.
I would recommend another one called Old West Empresario, very good dice placement. Nice review!
It's a good one, played it awhile ago
Which is your favorite of this genre and what do you rate it?
Great question, Valeria and it's a 4.

Yep, that's where I am.
That cover is a sin. Imagine how it would ruin the shelf
It happens to not bother me but I hear you.
Is Bad Company available?
