Hey Walter, next time you're around in south Texas, come join me as a sub in my Texas 9 pin league. I think you'd enjoy it. Just a different twist to the game.
Lanes are oiled just like 10 pin

Does this Bear pattern transition to the right for you like it does for sport league bowlers? What we usually get is carry down that causes a rather unpleasant wet / dry condition.

Unless everyone is using urethane most patterns will not transition to the right for right handers with carry down. I'm not sure you have the same definition of wet/dry as I do. To me wet/dry is like some house shots, lots of oil (wet) in the middle and less oil (dry) on the outsides.

@@walterraywilliamsjr3964 What we tend to get is a lot of the lane conditioner pushed out to the right. It results in there being a "wall" to the left, around the 12 or 13 board, and another "wall" to the right, around the 6 or 7 board, with a dry area in between. The ball will stay right if you get it outside the "track" area, it will slide all the way to the pin deck if you get it left, and it will react erratically if you play the track area. If you play outside in from outside the 6 board to the dry area, the ball grabs the friction immediately and crosses the head pin. We used to call this a "reverse block" back when I was conditioning the lanes by hand with a sponge mop. Of course, we used far less conditioner, it was much lighter weight, and we had to measure it with a graduated cylinder.

@@lockedonlaw I think what you are seeing is a lane condition that doesn't have the forgiveness of a typical house shot. You miss right and the ball goes right, miss left and the ball goes left. That isn't what I call wet-dry, wet-dry to me is when I miss right and the ball hooks too hard and ends of left of where I want and or I miss left and the ball ends up right of where I want the ball to go.

@@walterraywilliamsjr3964 Or even the forgiveness of a typical sport shot. But your assessment is correct.
