5s was the first company phone I’ve was issued after crackberry collapsed and it was great, it’s still alive, gave it to my niece to play games on. But the best one was 6s, used it from 2016 all the way to 2021, survived multiple drops, battery and screen changes and still kicking about, using it for listening music while running 😅

The battery does last at 50%. That's the stable point for batteries. Not saying 0% would recharge to 50%, but it would only discharge to near 50% +/- 10% so it could comfortably be sitting at 34% or something. Even after 10 years!

For those who don’t know, they’re the most repairable smartphones out there, with the FP4 & FP5 getting a 10/10 for repairability from ifixit. There’s no glue, and most of the components can be replaced by a novice with a screwdriver and a guitar pick (pry & shim). Also got a micro sd slot (max of 2TB) as well as an easily swappable battery. Not to mention the guaranteed *8 years* of Android updates and *10 years* of security updates for the FP5. As someone who has a 7+ year old phone, I’d love one that’d last 10+ years.
