Hey Liza! 💓 One thing to keep in mind if you switch Camden to a booster seat is that it might be hard for him to buckle himself in if there’s a car seat on either side of him. I say this because we literally ran into this problem last night with my small SUV 🙃 We installed the new booster seat and the buckle was buried in between the seats and was impossible to reach. So we’re now looking at the Diono Radian which is a narrow seat that can be used with the harness and also later on as a high back booster. Sorry for the unsolicited advice! I’m 35 weeks pregnant with 2 kids the same age as Cam and Quin so I figured this might help 😊

Alex get liza a bigger suv for a push present !! Lol seriously though you guys should really try putting the three seats in it and see how they fit. When I went from two to three it was a struggle and I thought we would be ok but ended up about 6 months later just hopping onto the third row suv wagon. They could fit but traveling and then things you need for all the kids it became a pita. Then we had baby number 4 and I was so happy we had already upgraded. And honestly right now is the best time ever to trade your vehicle you’ll get the most money for it and buying new seems to be cheaper than used anywhere .

For your car try the diono car seat!! Best car seat for 3 across! At least fo just cam and q to have those might give more room in the back!
Boosters are hard in 3 across since they have to be able to buckle and unbuckle. Normally with 3 across they can't access the buckle easy.

550 just transitioned to a high back five point harness booster seat. Harness but they are so much smaller than like a convertible car seat. It’s like a booster seat base with a back support.

If you do end up getting a new SUV I recommend the Hyundai palisade! I upgraded from my Elantra to the Palisade limited and it was so worth it!! The space and tech is insane. Will prob be a Hyundai customer forever 🤍

I have a Hyundai Tucson and I wouldn’t call it an SUV. It’s too small. Definitely more of a cross over or hatchback car.
The Hyundai Santa Fe is an SUV.
3 kids all in seats in the back of the Tucson would be extremely tight.
ETA you are right about car prices! We bought 2 brand new cars in 2019 and they both blue book now used more than we paid for them brand new back then!
