Al Hamduchia Al Andalucía - الحمدوشية الأندلس - recorded LIVE on Tape in Woodstock
a new intimate interpretation emanate from our Moroccan - Andalusian - Hebrew Heritage. made with so much love and gratitude to everything these cultures taught us.
We keep on exploring the richness and beauty of our traditions, a sacred space of diversity, love, respect, kindness and acceptance.
Based on the traditional “Al Hamdouchia”
Named after Sidi Ali Ben Hamdouch, a Sufi who was one of the greatest Sheikhs of Al Jadhba. His mausoleum is located in Zerhoun mountain near Meknes. his Father was the Sufi Sheikh Abu Ubaid Al Sharqi in Beljad. It is used to be related to the Gnawa tradition though it is an independent ceremonial tradition. The poem of this song is a Zajal written in the local dialect, seems like the Moroccan Malhoune style.
