I'm 54. I think its unfortunate that we live in an age where people are not amazed that they can fit entire platform libraries - sum total costs probably in the 100s of million if you fully tally up - in a sub 100 handheld that can go anywhere and is pocketable - or at least backpack chuckable. What a time to be alive. I show my kids this stuff and they are not really interested.
Thanks Mr Phawx. Appreciate the time.

There’s just devices that are much better, it is very impressive on its own merits but compared to many others it’s not that good. Like a high school football star vs a hall of famer, the kids good but a legends a legend.

It really blows my mind the amount of data you can store on these types of devices. If I had one of these back in the day I'd be one of the most popular kids in school. Showing off your recent catches on Pokémon Blue on the Game Boy was cool and all, but imagine having ALL the Pokémon games with you, and then some, at all times, and no need to lug your cartridges around getting lost, stolen, damaged, or asked to be borrowed but never being returned.

This is the "WE HAVE ANALOGUE POCKET AT HOME" device. You'll never get an Analogue Pocket, but you can experience the joys of 1:1 screen that Analogue offers for cheaper, and can play around the same amount of consoles, not 1:1 CPU CLONING manner, but good enough for the average player.

@@Cyko.. You're not really familiar with that meme then. It's fine, as for form factor; both are handhelds with buttons, a screen, portable, rectangular, play old games. It's like when people say "It's Like Comparing Apples To Oranges". Outside of one being a citrus and the other being part of the Rose family, yeah how is that for a mindfuck, they're round tree born fruits with a skin that a lot of people remove before eating. An orange peel isn't actually that bad when eaten. Now Apples and Potatoes, that's a better non-similar thing. Anyways, I'm familiar with it in the Gunsphere, where you'll see an AK 47, then the AK 47 at home would be a 9mm with like a silly pseudo carbine conversion kit on it. 9mm is not what an AK shoots, 7.62 x 39 is. 9mm is a handgun round, the other is a rifle round. So quite different.

I think the reason why this device was so well received by many reviewers is that reviewers have many other "generic" products.
Reviewers who are tired of "generic" products that do everything not bad tend to appreciate unique "specialized" machines that perform one purpose well (but not all good).
So if you're reading this and you're looking for a "generic" product that does everything not bad, please be clear that this product may not be suitable for your use!
