  • Make your own front block bags for folding bicycles simply with a bag and an adapter! Tip: Go with a structured bag so that it would hold its shape, and add a hard backing inside to give it more support. You could also start by trying this out on a low cost bag first! Let me know if you've more bag recommendations :)

    Oh my word, I was searching for a bag to match my Aceoffix but could not find anything suitable so thought of modding. And what a pleasant surprise that the best instruction came from a fellow Singaporean! I have subscribed and cannot wait to try out the mod!!!

    Use ABS plastic backing (like a very thin cutting board from Daiso) that covers the entire base instead of a flimsy cardboard will make the bag more rigid and not flop over.

      thanks for the tip and recommending budget-friendly Daiso!

    Like that cable management idea. For those a budget, thrift stores sell bags of all sizes for just a few dollars.

    for the internal backing, it will be better to use a plastic which will make the bag look more firm when with things/load in it.

    I am using camp lite but the cable getting in the way any advice? I see the those trifold bikes had their cables behind the handles... Feel kinda pointless if you have a front block but unable to use it....

    • @avchiang
      @avchiang  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I push the cables to both sides! If you can see from the vid, no extreme bending is fine I think!

    i suggest a 2~3mm thick kydex sheet instead of cardboard. Cardboard will disintegrate after some time.

    • @avchiang
      @avchiang  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Sturdier would definitely be better! Didn’t have materials on hand so the cardboard. Let’s see how long it lasts :p

    Try using acrylic for the backing.

    Did you say something? I couldn’t hear you over that horrible sound track.

  • @hazelisaacs2201
    @hazelisaacs2201 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Sorry I had to watch with the sound off as the tinny repetitive background music was too distracting.
    It may be fashionable to do this but it makes it so much more difficult to hear what you are saying. Please only have "music" during the parts of your video when you are not speaking.

    Congrats on beating the system. Accessories for trifolds are all way overpriced no thanks to the overly atas branding of Brompton
