We just received a couple different TV antennas from Ness Electronics, and couldn't wait to test the BEXIA indoor antenna - so here's an informal test to quickly see how it compares to a couple other antennas we had around the office. Stay tuned for more formal testing with stiffer competition later this week!

I ought a Televes Zapperbox A1 indoor/outdoor antenna.I used to catch around 30 channels with my old antenna but know I catch over 85. it is well worth the price. I watched antenna man review it on his channel and got a discount price of $120. It is well worth the price and is built for future use. Don’t worry about the price you won’t regret buying it.

I live, at ground level, in an old high rise apartment building that was built in the early 60's. The building is steel reinforced concrete, and it's located at the bottom of a steep hill. Reception on a flat panel antenna was zilch. The windows have also been upgraded with some kind of multi-layer, insulating glass. Before cable I believe that there was an antenna on the roof, with the signal distributed through the building on coax.
So, my only alternative is cable?

I just want to say I really enjoy these antenna videos I mean if you don't want to pay for cable or satellite antennas the way to go because you never know how many channels you're actually going to get until they install it I've used an antenna most of my life and let me tell you something I wasn't dissatisfied with the channels I've got I would get several several channels I couldn't tell you exactly how many but antennas have come a long way since I used them

I cut the cable TV bull crap 16 years ago. I calculate I've saved about $18,000 or more over that time.

As mentioned, this was just a quick, informal test because I couldn't wait to do a more extensive test in the usual spot with a meter. Sign up to be notified of the formal test coming soon!

@@kyrontechnology I assume you got all Good, Fair and some Poor stations. Not bad for an indoor antenna. 💪👍

    What's it cost?

    • @kyrontechnology

I believe MSRP is $129.99, which is admittedly quite high for an indoor antenna, but in the right scenario it might just be worth it. If we decide to add it to our product line, we will likely sell for $99.95; my personal feeling is that a $70-$80 price would be more appropriate, but we'll see what we can do for wholesale pricing to get closer to this target for our clients.

I very much regret that I wasted $99 on this antenna. We are in the suburban Grand Rapids area and have 14 stations within 20 miles and 18 within 40 miles. We are in a residential area with no tall buildings to interfere with reception. We tried several locations in the house most by a window and we were able to receive 1 station at 9.9 miles and not either of the 2 closer stations {8.4 miles and 4.3 miles). And yes it was connected correctly. BUYER BEWARE ON THIS ANTENNA!

Hi Terry! I'm very sorry to hear about your experience. Your location sounds like it would be perfectly suited to this antenna, so I can only assume that there is some kind of interference, possibly a defective unit (unlikely) or maybe a better orientation/elevation for the antenna. Have you tried anything else in the same location for comparison? Is this on the first or second floor? I'm sure you rescanned with the antenna selected as the source and double checked the coax connections, and that the power supply was working properly (green light lit on the antenna?)...if you have any other information available, I'd like to try to figure out why you didn't have success with this unit.

@@kyrontechnology I made a DIY antenna out of a piece of coax ,6” each direction , stapled it to a piece of scrap wood, put it in the same window and got 10 channels. Bexia went back in the box and back to Lowes

You must be quite close to the antenna farm in your market, and quite lucky. But without knowing more about your specific location, I don't know if that's actually impressive or not - how many COULD you receive with a different antenna? Check RabbitEars.info for more details
