**IMPORTANT UPDATE** Unfortunately, i misspoke regarding the video zoom capability of the Iphone at 3:10 & 8:56. There was a “lock camera” setting turned on which caused the camera to do a digital zoom, rather than switching to the telephoto lense. Iphone footage will look better than what was shown here with that setting turned off. With that said, ive done some additional testing and i still personally feel the Pixel & Samsung have the better video zoom performance. Sorry about that!
Dear CEONTHEMAKIG please consider adding also 5-10 seconds of nighttime ULTRAWIDE video footage in your comparisons. There are many low-light situations where the ultrawides are preferred due to limited space e.g. in nightclubs, when you want to take full-body videos of friends dancing etc. I think it would not take a lot of effort on your side but it would mean a lot for many people 🙏
The Galaxy and Pixel both repeat frames during the nighttime zoomed in footage. I prefer the iPhone footage just because the framerate is smoother. Are you sure the Pixel wasn't set to 24 FPS?
Great video. I noticed though on the portrait modes even though your skin tone and face were clearer on the iPhone, I noticed on the Samsung your face was still pretty clear but the background was clearer than the background of the iPhone. I'm really impressed with that pixel also
Just so you know there is a camera version called "Expert Raw" that can be integrated into the Samsung camera and it allows you to do the astral photography beautifully. You can choose to wait 3 to 24 minutes for exposure to capture shots that can look like ones from a Pro DSLR camera. I even tested this camping with a friend who is into night photography and it kept up surprisingly well!
I feel the same way as I did before I never thought about using a Google Pixel before. I personally use a One Plus 11 phone. It really caught my attention this year. 💯🙏🇹🇭

Ok bit of a rant. I've been using the Pixel 6, 7pro, 8 pro, now 9 pro (thanks to the high trade-in value and pre-order gifts by Google) but this shows how boring things have gotten in the hardware space. Samsung, Apple and Google are playing it safe. I kinda miss the competition that LG used to bring with the quirky designs or the Nokia Lumia colorful phones. The Motorola custom phone backs. Google should of kept the Nexus project alive and have different phone manufactures come out with a Nexus design every year. Now everything looks iPhone or Samsung. Great Video tho! I Subscribed.

None of these flagship phones takes a bad photo or video. If you prefer one of these models, it's important to express that preference without disparaging others. Instead of saying that one phone is "killing" another, simply state that you love the XY phone more because it better suits your needs. These days, having just a camera on a phone is not enough. Really nice video. Google has come a long way as far as climbing up to the main event and I’m glad to see that after signing a contract with the NBA and WNBA it seems to be a little bit more popular now making for a three way competition with Apple and Samsung. I currently have the iPhone 15 Pro Max, but it along with the Google series are lacking in the one thing that I really like and that is high-powered zoom. For the average person 25 times or 30 times is by far more than enough but for me I need 70 or maybe 80 just for my lifestyle so I will wait and purchase the 25 ultra and use my iPhone 15 Pro Max as a trade-in. Once again, your videos appreciated. You have a friend in Columbus Ohio!

Thank you for making this detailed, very thorough video. I’ve been wondering how the cameras compared on these three phones. I’m a retired pro photographer - owned a studio for 40 years and was an early adopter of digital photography, almost thirty years ago. “The best camera is the one you have with you at the moment.” Since I’m no longer shooting for clients, every image I capture is for myself. Carrying a camera bag full of gear is a lot more work than carrying the cell phone. BTW The youngster in your images is such a beautiful child. Is she yours? If so, you will need to put up a thirty-foot fence around the yard when she becomes a teenager to keep the boys away! Or at least show the teenage boys your collection of deadly poisons as a potential threat. Thanks again, :-Don
Thanks for this great video, I like it a lot. This is exactly the choice I am considering right now, coming from an iPhone 14 and 15 Pro Max but having been a Samsung user until the Galaxy S21 Ultra. I would say camera is most important to me but the overall package also counts which are both reasons why I used to stick with Samsung in the past. For ecosystem reasons (iPad, MacBook Air, AirPods Pro, Apple TV) I had decided to go for the iPhone which was not a bad decision at all. But the recent 16 Pro Max release left me with the impression that there is little to none progress or real innovation in the iPhone space. So I am challenging my previous decision 😅 One question if I may, in another review someone compared photos shot against the sun. Here the iPhone delivered way better quality than the S24U. Did you happen to test this scenario as well and what was the result? Thanks again for the review, just subscribed to your channel.
I haven't tested that scenario specifically, but I've had the iphone basically since it was released, and I can definitely say it performs the best when backlit directly by the sun
I'm loving my new Pixel 9 XL, but I pretty much have only used google phones since the Nexus 6. But in general I think I like the more natural look of the pixel cameras.
This is an excellent vid, I just shattered my s23 ultra and got the pixel pro 9 xl. I was worried about the camera but I think this is pretty good vs the s23 ultra.
Hi, just wanted to know your advices : Which phone is better to use to record a music video? (of course I’ll use the cinematic mode and postproduction)
I am a pixel user and would love to upgrade to the pixel 9 , but I can't live with the micro jitters and the flickering image when walking and filming with the phone, It seems to me that the iPhone is the only one to have fixed this issue.
Wow this is a serious comparison. I am testing the pixel 9 pro xl, and I have the iPhone 15 pro max for my daily phone and s24 ultra as a secondary phone. I think I am keeping my ultra instead of getting the pixel
Thank you for that...! I'm finally going to replace my 5 year old phone which some of you probably never heard of.... The Coolpad Legacy. I got it in 2019 for like $99 or something and surprisingly, it actual held up all this time...that is until my wife broke the screen last week. 😒 So this comparison with the "Big 3" is exactly what I wanted to see. I'm leaning towards the Google Pixel 9 Pro XL with the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra coming in 2nd for me. I prefer Android phones over iPhones...just my personal preference. Nothing against the iPhone.

Top camera, colors are more natural and I think the front camera is better. If you can test both somewhere, do so. Otherwise, watch a lot of tests. If I had to choose, the Samsung is currently still my daily driver.
Pixel I noticed was jittery when you zoom in, which seems to still be an issue. Also when you started running, the sky became yellow and grainy. I have the 7 pro and it's terrible in low light, any shadow is super grainy, I hate it, also glitchy when you zoom in, hopefully this one will be better
I switched from iPhone 15 pro to 16 and from there to 16 pro and now I've ended up with the Pixel 9 pro xl and I couldn't be happier. The iPhone 15 was okay and both 16s were a disaster. I used the Pixel once and there is now a world of difference between the Pixel and the iPhone. The Pixel is easier to handle, I use Gemini almost every day and the pictures are also a bit better. The only thing that speaks for Apple is the good interaction between the different devices and the lower weight. Otherwise, after 10 years, Apple has unfortunately lost me to Google :)
Every phone is more than enough to do great shooting in any conditions. I think people nowadays should choose based on UI and usability, design and personal preferences, but not because of the cameras, all those cameras are great. The only big difference is that Pixel has the very best selfie camera clearly. But with Pixel 9 Pro pricing, iPhone 15 Pro with titanium body, LEDAR and face ID may be a better option overall. Still can`t understand, how could Google get their new phones priced same as Apple phones, that`s crazy.

Great video!
Thanks!
Excellent vi😊
Thank you!
Great video
