I'm a big supporter of awareness for young folks , who need an outlet , to talk about their anger, and frustrations , to trusted community members. Suicide awareness, is a big one , for teens , as bullying on social media , is a never ending shit storm . Jaylin , whom I feel a kinship towards, was a friend to my family in Suquamish, and he sang on the drum , I'm told , in a beautiful way. He hunted , and he was a good lookin' young native , whom had to grow up , in a tight community, where gossip ran strong. I also suffered bullying as a teen , and packed a gun with me , to school. Thankfully , my native mom , Claudia McGrady , who was an Indian education counselor , found my gun, and never told me , what she did with it..only that I wasn't getting it back. Who knows how that changed my future. Today , I'm a light for others, and I plan on giving back to the tribes , and native youth , a sense of honor , that I never had. I wish that in the coming days , as Jesus brings our ancestors back , for peace , and playfulness, between our teen brothers and sisters . No more bullying .
